ladies, im gonna be honest. Pregnancy is gross. My nipples are dark, i have stretch marks EVERYWHERE and i have not pooped in 3 days. I used to be so regular. So regular in fact i could go multiple times a day and always felt great. I have tried laxatives, coffee, mcdonalds and all sorts of safe OTC meds to try and get it out. Im struggling so hard because i can feel it "at the door" but nothing will come out. Is anyone else in this boat? Id take severe diahrea at this point over the constipation.

Try Life cereal? That's my go to thing to help with constipation. Also chocolate milk. I've been having the opposite problem. I seriously feel like I can't leave my house in case I can't make it to the restroom on time. I've been eating the BRAT diet for a couple of days now.

I'm at 3 CVS-brand colace a day, getting one poop out. Lol. Also, since I'm lactose intolerant, if I'm in DIRE need of making a poop, I'll have a Cold Stone milkshake just to get it all out. Or I'll eat wayyyyy too much. I would definitely ask your dr if there is something that they suggest to help get things moving besides upping your daily fiber intake.
I forgot to mention that my 3 colace a day are NOT taken at the same time...... After seeing @ahernandez16 mentioning being stuck on the pot for hours, I needed to mention to be aware lol.
Chai seeds, I started iron and its messed up my body. I add 2 spoonfuls to a glass of water/cranberry juice, let it sit for 5 mins and then drink with a straw. I like the seeds and it's a funky texture but it really helps to get things moving again. I had to have 2 a day to get my body back to normal but now 1 drink a day keeps things going. Also salad and smoothies, I add ground flax seed to my smoothies and that helps out too. I hope that helps!
I totally understand. I have gone a week and a half with no relief. Now, I have been monitoring my fiber intake like crazy. Every other day I eat at least half a cup of black beans. I add benefiber/metamucil to my water and eat 3 prunes and 1/4 cup of cranberries. If all else fails then I eat cereal with milk. I am lactose intolerant so that normally does the trick..
Psyllium husk works wonders as well as Milk of Magnesia. I have also been getting walking and/yoga in which has also helped in the morning. I usually start the day with warm water with lemon and then do light stretching which can help too.
I would try Kashi high fiber cereal. I also started trying Kefir which is a probiotic that is supposed to be 99% lactose free. I seriously swear by the Kashi though. If I have it as my bedtime snack I usually never have a problem going the next morning.
Have you drank the smooth move tea?! Seriously works a little too well you drink it before bed and when you wake up you have to run to the bathroom. Sometimes I have to go multiple times in the morning. I only do this once a weeks on a day I don't work.
I drink a coffee, have a couple fig Newton's, and a Greek yogurt and my prenatals every morning. It works great, but when I don't do this I get constipated too. I also try and have a fruit smoothie for lunch and double helping of veggies at dinner which I get around to actually cooking three or four times a week. My poor children have hot dogs and macaroni the other nights. And my husband, well he can have leftovers lol.
Prune juice, ridiculous amounts of water, coffee in the morning and rolling around on a balance ball to keep things loose and stretched. I do all of this everyday and I've stayed pretty regular. Popped a colace once when I had a nearly four day backup caused by what I think was not drinking enough water. It sucks, constipation has plagued me this entire pregnancy, I hope you find something that works for you because I know it's a b$tch.
Ive tried prunes and prune juice but no dice. Ive been eating veggies and salad almost everyday. I finally went a little this morning but i still feel "full". I swear, im not having mood swings from pregnancy. It's crankiness from not going to the bathroom. I see my doc on Thursday so im going to talk to him then and see id they can suggest something.

Try upping your magnesium intake. As a bonus, it helps with those darn leg cramps as well. You can get it in vitamin form, or get magnesium oil which you rub on your abdomen and feet, or both.
Ooh and I forgot to mention, in all seriousness, get a squatty potty. That thing has helped me so much as ridiculous they may look and sound.
What I was going to post. My squatty potty is the best thing in the entire world. I actually had really really bad constipation pre-pregnancy and have been the most regular I've ever been in my life during pregnancy. Very strange. But the squatty potty is magic.
@joose159 Yes, another squatty potty enthusiast! I got it after getting pregnant, but I will surely continue to use it post prego. They are worth every penny.
Have you tried a suppository? Until you get the constipation under control, that or an enema can be a great quick fix. Supps are easy and produce a bowel movement in minutes for most. Fleet is good for both types.
[I also have a squatty and know way too much about poop problems!]
I ordered the squatty potty and am anxiously waiting its arrival. I fid throw my legs/feet up on a laundry basket this morning and it def got some results so im excited to try the product designed for it. My doc told me today to try some magnesium chews so ill be picking them up tonight. I had my glucose test today. The fruit punch sugar drink must have had some effect on me as well bc now im pretty sure based on the cramping im going to have horrible diahrea tomorrow

I wouldn't recommend that, but I feel you. And I just started an iron supplement after being told I'm anemic and it's just gotten worse.
Prune juice, try to increase the fiber in your diet. Sorry. It sucks.
also... drink lots of water.
Everything others have said and I use Miralax. It seems to help me. Good luck, I know it is miserable.
