QOTW--- It truly depends on what I am angry about, but mostly I try to pray. If it's a work matter, I do the best that I can and try to remind myself that I work for the Lord and no one else. I tell myself that I am paid to be professional and there are other people willing to take my job if I don't want it. When my family or DH upset me I think about whether it's a war I really want to fight; if it is, hold on to your horses!

I'm 15dpiui. I produced 1 big follie and 3 little ones on 50mg Clomid. DH had 50 million sperm after washing for IUI. I started progesterone 2 days after IUI. The LP bleeding has been lighter while on progesterone but hasn't gone away. I've had BFNs the past few days and will be going for a beta tomorrow to confirm I'm not pregnant so I can stop the progesterone and move on to the next cycle.

QOTW: I try to take a few deep breathes to calm myself or walk away if I need the time to think.

Our IVF schedule has now been determined!  I started BCPs on Friday (how annoying is THAT???), IVF class + payment due of $14k on 3/29, I start stimming on 4/9, and egg retrieval will be on or around 4/18.  We're doing ICSI and PGS testing, then FET of 1 embryo 6 weeks after retrieval, so likely very end of May or early June.

    I'm excited :)

QOTW: Sometimes I become very quiet and try to deal with it internally.  Other times I need to vent to a friend or my DH.  I'm not a loud or aggressive person, but I often cry if I'm very angry.

Hello I am 3dpiui and feel okay just really tired. The hcg shot is still much in my system and i wake up alot in the middle of the night so I have not had a good nights rest in a while. This happened 1st iui, not 2nd, but now again 3rd. I am hoping this tww goes by quickly ! We decided to try at least another iui if this does not work and use injectables before heading down the ivf train. GL everyone!

Going on Wednesday for a blood test to see if I can start round 2 of provera/clomid or if 1 round was enough. My work has baby fever and is symptom spotting with everyone so my sass and inability to stand near bacon or buffalo wings while they are being made has everyone freaking out because I am the only woman who works there with no kids so all of their baby fever has been focused on me.

I handle anger with with movies and cat snuggling.

Waiting to start IVF #2. I will probably start BCPs next week. I'm afraid to be optimistic about it since last time was such a disappointment. We'll see what happens.

qotw: It really depends on the situation. If someone makes me angry, I will either become super B and tell them how I feel, or I'll leave it be and think about all the things I should have said. I hold grudges a lot less as I get older.

I have one week left in my Tww, if this Friday wasn't a holiday I would be tested then but my RE's office is closed so I'll be waiting till next Monday.

Qotw: It depends on where and what made me angry. I'll usually curse and yell a little about random things annoying me and then move on.

Hi ladies I am day 14 in the middle of a Clomid cycle and just had an u/s that confirmed I have a contender- one big follie in my left ovary!! I decided to add a the Ovidrel injection & progesterone cream to give us the best "shot."

QOTW:  I do not handle this well- I usually obsesses over the issue until it is resolved. I am not one to hide my feelings.  Other than that I try to move my body-- walking the dogs or doing some yoga. A glass of wine also helps ;)

Hi Everyone this is my first weekly check in.
    1. DH and I have been TTC for 10 months.
    2. Currently do not have a diagnosis.
    3. Treatment plant is to carry on trying until the end of this cycle (should be around first week of April) then my doctor is sending a referral to a local fertility clinic for testing.

QOTW: If I am really angry sometimes I just cry it out and it makes me feel better. Other times I remove myself from the situation and focus on something else until I calm down and then I return to the situation to deal with it more calmly.

Hi...im 6dpo today. ...but have very little hope that anything happened. My husband had the flu my whole fertile period. He actually had a sperm analysis while having a fever. ..and his test came out pretty bad. We had sex when he felt better. ...which happened to be my ovulation day. He saw the urologist today, but he's saying the test didn't look all that bad to him. Said motility was a bit low, but sees nothing that should stop me from getting pregnant. This was our last step before getting into shady grove. ...so one step closer! Should have a referral by tomorrow:)

    I'm super emotional and a big cry baby.....when I get angry I cry:/

CD15 here and I think I ovulated today, but I need a few more days of temps to verify, so we are continuing eod bding. Our timing was pretty good this month, but it usually is, and we're still here, so...
This is my first month trying EPO pre-ovulation for cervical mucous quality and I do think it helped. It probably would have worked better if I had kept myself hydrated better, but we'll see! FX for this cycle.

QOTW: How do you handle anger?
I get angry? It really depends on the situation... if something breaks or I stub my toe, usually I have a few choice words for the air and sometimes something gets thrown :)  and then I move on.
If a random person has made me angry (usually a client), I vent to DH about them and then let it go. Or try to let it go, and avoid them in the future if possible.
It's rare for me to get angry with close family or friends, so that's good :)

@LadyMillil I'm surprised they wait so long to do the beta draw! How frustrating to be getting BFNs and not be able to stop the progesterone. Last cycle that was me and I was do annoyed to have to keep taking it until 14 DPO like my doctor had instructed - I can't imagine waiting two more days!

@calfherder I hope you have a better result this time - I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I can't even imagine how disappointing it must have been to have that negative beta last time. Hugs!

I had my HSG yesterday (holy uncomfortable) and everything looked good. Going in this morning for my AMH draw and am nervous about those results considering my FSH came back high. And DH is going in for a SA and sperm penetration assay next week. Still continuing acupuncture and TCM as well. We had said we'd give it three cycles before starting a Clomid cycle - this is cycle 2.

    QOTW:

J/k ;) I try to take deep breaths and handle the situation, and then vent about it later to DH or a co-worker or friend.

i was supposed to go this morning to start monitoring again for our next ivf round coming up in April which will now most likely be pushed back to May since I'm currently battling the flu and couldn't make it in today on day 3.  It's such a curse to get your period to begin with when your TTC but add the flu to the mix and it's just miserable!! Now we just wait until next month...

Qotw- when I get angry, depending on the situation, I either lash out and yell or cry.

AF arrived this morning. Progesterone lengthened my LP from 11/12 to 14 days. I'm calling the RE later to set up the next cycle. The plan is 3 IUIs before moving on to IVF. Since 50mg Clomid and twice daily progesterone didn't stop my LP bleeding I expect my doses will be upped this cycle.

    Hi ladies :)
I'm on CD 18, just ovulated... I think. OPKs don't work thanks to my PCOS, so I just try to read the signals as best as I can. Hoping and hoping for my BFP, but being realistic that it hasn't happened in 2 years of TTC. We are planning our wedding, which has been a great distraction.

QOTW... I'm pretty good at dealing with anger. I usually assess the situation to see how I can make something positive out of it, or at least try. Music helps too.  Except when I'm driving, still working on trying not to get angry at incompetent drivers- if you live in WA, you know what I mean. I miss CA drivers, seriously.

CD 16 over here. I'm feeling really positive about TTC lately. My cycles have been dreams. Whether that's been from weight loss or Chinese medicine or a little of both, it's making me feel good about myself. Our timing has been excellent this month. I'm not being hopeful about getting KU. But I just have a good feeling we are heading in the right direction.

Still waiting on a call from the fertility clinic we are moving too to book our first appointment. DH has a follow up with the urologist next week.

Currently in 2ww of iui#5....AF is due Saturday....met with RE last week, She wants to start ivf or iui with injectables next cycle. DH and myself aren't ready yet. I want to try more cycles with oral meds since insurance covers 100% iui.
These last few days have been awful, ended up in ER over the weekend with severe back pain....but it has been a distraction from this dreaded 2ww
QOTW: I hold anger in until I explode...usually on DH...poor guy has put up with alot this week.

@LMart85 I remember being IUI cycle buddies with you in Feb... hopefully this one will work for you!  We did injections with both our IUIs and they really weren't bad at all.  Very tiny needle, similar to an allergy shot that people give themselves all the time.  And I didn't have side effects either.  It might not be a bad move to try your next IUI with the injectables to see if that is the key to success.  Good luck!

Update: Today is CD11 and DH and I went in for cycle monitoring. They only found 2 dominant follicles on the right side that were about 11mm and 12mm, so we are going back in on Friday to have them measured again, and I have a feeling that we will be going back in again on Sunday to have them measured again before a trigger shot. They were measured on Wednesday and were only about 10mm and 11mm.

They offered us the Gonal-F injection this time, but we have decided to wait until next cycle. Next cycle instead of doing Clomid and Timed Intercourse, we are going to do Gonal-F and IUI.

    Question for the group:
Is there still a chance for my follicles to mature quick enough? What is the latest CD that they will give you a trigger shot? Is there a chance that we will need to scrap this cycle and wait for the next one?

QOTW: How do you handle anger?
    1. Running really fast outside or on a treadmill.
    2. A hot bath.

@stephym89 you definitely have time I think. My CD 10 they were small, I went back CD 15 and there was a contender. I triggered the next morning- CD 16. Hang in there and have hope! Is there a reason you are holding off on the trigger this round?

Thanks so much, that is really helpful! I wasn't sure how late in the cycle you could go before the trigger shot. It's good to hear that you had luck around CD15-16! We are still doing the trigger shot of Ovidrel, just waiting for them to get to a size that the FS is happy with before we do the shot, I was just worried about them not being big enough in time.

We are going to go with the Gonal F injections next cycle because they are a bit more expensive and so we would rather use them right from the beginning with IUI to try and increase our chances.

    Thank you so much!

@wifeinraleigh28 I wouldn't mind moving to injectables but DH says no. My insurance doesnt cover much on injectables and copay would be around $4,000 a month. RE keeps telling us everything looks good...so DH isn't ready to drain savings account when everything is "fine". Which I understand. Insurance covers IUI @ 100% so we will keep trying that until July until deductible rolls over. If this month doesn't work, RE is changing letrozole to clomid....Saturday is the end of 2ww....I'll take hpt on Sunday if AF doesn't arrive

Sorry for the late check in this week! DH and I just had our nurse consult for IVF and we were given our tentative schedule along with all the meds I'll be on. I am expecting AF around 4/5 and then I will be on BCPs for about 2 weeks and then I will go into stimming with a planned retrieval probably around the first week of May!

QOTW: I suck at dealing with anger and unfortunately DH gets my wrath. I am trying to be more mindful and practice relaxation techniques.

    2.  What is your diagnosis? Obesity and Amenorrhea and treated for pcos but not really determined I have it.

    3.  What is your current treatment plan?

    2.  What is your diagnosis?
We have been diagnosed with MFI

QOTW: How do you handle anger?
At first, I tend to get really quiet until I figure out what exactly I want to say about it. Then I vent to my DH, my sister, or my best friend. They're all such great troopers. ;)

Oh my goodness I know! I feel like we are all going to be fertility experts at the end of all of this....they really don't at all!

A little update in case you were interested, my follicles haven't grown at all since CD9 - they've stayed at 11mm (I'm now CD13), so I think we are going to have to abandon this cycle, and I think I'll be doing the Gonal-F injection with IUI next month. Trying to stay positive about that....but also worrying about how expensive it is. Thanks again for your help and advice, it is much appreciated! Good luck to you as well!

    1.  How long have you been TTC? Since December 2014.

    2.  What is your diagnosis? They found a uterine polyp/removed it in November 2015.  My luteal phase is short/I have frequent period.  The doctor said she thinks I have polycystic ovaries, but not polycystic ovary syndrome.  No idea what that means.

    3.  What is your current treatment plan?  HCG trigger, hopefully tomorrow.  I did HCG for luteal phase support 5 dpo last month.  The doctor has been pushing clomid and iui since day 1, before even doing an ultrasound and it is pissing me off. I really want to move at my and my husband's own pace.  It's only been a few months since sizable polyp was removed, and I would like to do less invasive options first.  It seems like she just wants to make this happen as quick as possible without giving a s#*t about our comfort.

qotw: Not well. :( Actually, I try to isolate myself so that I can cool off. Or if someone is making me angry, I try to talk it out with that person. Usually it results in laughter. I always feel really guilty when I'm angry, like I don't deserve to be angry... that leads to me getting defensive. I am learning to be careful of that.
