I am in florida and i think i am getting period.. i am supposed to start my iv cycle this month but if i get it today i won't be home until day 4. I asked the dr in a email message prior to coming if i can still do IVF if i get home on day 4 and he said day 4 is too late. I met with the nurse for my injection lesson last week and she said its no problem that she can give me the bc pill to start if i get my period a day early and can still do this months cycle. i don't get how if they need to do day 3 us and bloodwork.. so confusing. and of course its sunday and i can't get a call back. I also hate to start this cycle unnaturally with stopping my period instead of the normal way.. as of now its just spotting so i pray it doesn't fully start till tomm. As long as it fully starts tomm then wednesday is day 3 right?? so upset:(
Re: so confused what to do!
I had trouble with my FET in Jan & Feb. Jan due to starting on New Years even and in Feb starting on a Friday.
My clinic let me start my medicine and did check up on day 4. Worse case they said was that I had to start medication if the check-up wasn't given the results they wanted.
Both times I was good to keep going on meds.

But I would assume day 4, not much would have changed in one day result wise.
Isnt there an other clinic you could call?
Would you normally start bc on day one?

And this one says near day 3 https://www.crhivf.com/ivf/StartingIVF.aspx
Which mean you don't have to rush now and have time to get a hold of your RE tomorrow or Tuesday!
So take a deep breath, and try not to stress too much. You've got this!
**********************************************************************************************************************************
On day 4 you'll have your BW and us just like your nurse said.
It won't change the result of BW & us with one day, as long as you start to take bc on the correct day!

As for the clots, as long as your doctor knows about them, you'll be in good hands!
You often will start stimulating while on bc, so dates won't change too much.
It all depends on how you react to the stimulation and how well your follicles grow.
Ive seen in previous threads that you worry a lot about a time schedule, unfortunately you need to let that go.
You can not controle this. Not at all. So please, for your own benefit try to let go of dates. All you can do is take the medication as prescribed and pray that your body is cooperating. But it will be ready when it is ready, and not when you want it to be.
Have faith, for some miracles we have to wait (very very very long) but they will happen.
You are in good hands.

During my stim cycle I was given the estimate of October 21-22 for retrieval. My body had other ideas about how it was going to respond to the meds so it was actually on October 30th, over a week later, because my ovaries needed the extra stimulation to grow mature follicles.

They have it under control. You spoke to your nurse and they said it is fine to start as planned without you having to go home.
So no you are not NEEDED to go home.
Definitely trust your clinic. They know what they are doing, they are professionals and have done this plenty of time. You are in good hands.
I know it's all overwhelming and a lot to take in. Just follow orders from your clinic. Start bc when they said you should start and go to your appointment on the 6th.
**********************************************************************************************************************************
Baseline is your lining: it thickens during your cycle to make a nice home for a fertilised egg, when no egg is finding its home it'll break down. So at the beginning of your cycle it should be back to thin.
I haven't experienced once that it hasn't, but maybe some have.
**********************************************************************************************************************************
I started estrogen before my us, and they could measure my lining a few days later and took in account that I had started medication a few days earlier.
I'm not sure what exactly bc does, I read that they help you to 're-set' your body and help you to have your follicles grow about the same time.
Try not to worry too much, I know that is very hard to do, as you so badly want this baby (and I completely can relate) but it will work in the end. I keep everything I have crossed for you that you will get great news on Wednesday and that you are on track to get your IVF in april.
Stay strong xoxo
