What's new with baby (size, development): Baby is the size of a raspberry. Arms and legs are moving, fingers and toes are only slightly webbed, tail is gone.  Taste buds are now forming.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Still nothing.  H and I really need to clean out the nursery and shampoo the carpets.  Maybe we'll get around to it in the next week or two.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Symptoms are coming and going, which has been kind of nice.  I get a break from the sore boobs for a couple days, but then it comes back with a vengeance.  Yesterday was a bad symptoms today.  Today seems to be looking that way too...but i'll gladly take it and deal with it :)  I think I'm going to start belly pictures this week.  I know right now its just a little blump, not a bump, I want to get a few pictures pre-bump to compare later on.

When is your next appointment: 4/6! I can't wait!

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. H took me out to a fancy-schmancy Italian restaurant that I had never been to.  He ordered us a yummy bottle of wine which we finished in no time.  After dinner we went to a comedy club with a two drink minimum.  I drank two large, top-shelf Long Islands and couldn't walk a straight line by the time we left....but it was an amazing first date.

What's new with baby (size, development): The start of tooth buds! I think this is one of the coolest early milestones and I have no idea why.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:  Husband and I are planning how we'll rearrange our room to work best with the baby stuff. Baby will be with us for the first eighteen months or so since we only have three bedrooms in this house and we'll be moving in summer 2018.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I've never been one for morning sickness but this time around I'm being absolutely sapped by the constant nausea. I've only thrown up once but last night very nearly did again while lying in bed. Im finding it's making the exhaustion even worse. What sucks is that my husband uses my exhaustion as an excuse not to do stuff. I'm less productive so he's less productive instead of making up the slack so the house is a mess, we're having guests soon, and I don't have the energy to do anything about it.

When is your next appointment: April 6th for my last ultrasound with the RE before I graduate to an OB.

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We went to see the movie Hostel. We were a few minutes late getting there and when we walked in, there was a very tight focus on a sex scene. Veeeery awkward for a first date, hah. Still, our second date was only two days later and then we pretty much never parted after that.

What's new with baby (size, development):
    Honestly I haven't looked yet

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
We won't be doing anything till after the first us

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Doing well. No symptoms really. Sore boobs had been my only consistent one and hands falling asleep on me.

When is your next appointment: April 11th

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date.
We lived 3 hours apart. He drove to Chicago (left at 0600) to pick me up at 0900 for a Bears game. It was awesome. Because of the drive he ended up staying 2 days. That's how our relationship went for 2 years. Seeing each other 2-5 days at a time.

    Week: 8

What's new with baby (size, development):

Ovia says baby is the size of a Wild Strawberry or a 1/2 lego brick and might be able to be seen moving on my u/s tomorrow.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing until I see the u/s, maybe after first tri.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
I've had a stomach virus & fever all weekend & my boobs stopped hurting. Nerve wracking!

When is your next appointment: u/s tomorrow

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date.
It was also the first time we met. Went to dinner & we're enjoying talking so much we went to a beach bar after to continue.
  • Week: 6

What's new with baby (size, development): Size of a lady bug, or one of those firework popper things.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: We told our immediate families yesterday.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I am so tired! Ugh I am trying to figure out how I will get a nap in when I get home. Our dog has been in the crate since about noon and I will be home around 4:00. I plan on taking him for a walk when I get home, but I feel bad to put him right back in it so I can nap. We have only had him a little over a week and he still has accidents.

When is your next appointment: Ultrasound tomorrow. I cannot wait. I am so glad it is in the morning.

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I don't remember, we have been together since I was in 8th grade (H in 9th).

  • Week: 8!

What's new with baby (size, development): Arms and legs are moving, taste buds are forming, and never stems are branching out to connect with one another.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing new really. Just trying to make it through the day without a nap at this point!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Feeling pretty gross almost all day but definitely worse after 4pm, exhausted, very, very sore boobs, and food does not sound good at all so all I have been eating is CARBS!

When is your next appointment: Thursday!

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We were in college and we went to the movie Juno and last minute he invited our friend Jon to come along! Then we dropped him off after and we went to a chinese restaurant and ended up getting kicked out because they had to close for the night.

What's new with baby (size, development): Baby has webbed fingers and toes

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Trying to pick a boy's name! I have a hunch that it's a boy and we only have a girl's name picked out.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Rave: H is picking up Chipotle for dinner. I'm so excited I could cry.

When is your next appointment: 4/14 at 10w3d. I've been lucky in that I've already had 2 ultrasounds, so the wait isn't too hard. Waiting for those US bills to start rolling in...

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I thought it was a date, to the point where I even bought a new outfit. H thought he was just catching up with an old friend. He realized when I waited around for a kiss that it was indeed a date. That first kiss was awesome.

  • Week: 8!

What's new with baby (size, development): I love the fact that little dumpling is looking less like a tadpole and starting to wiggle around!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing really just yet other than making healthier eating habits.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I had my visit with the nurse appointment today and it actually went VERY well unlike the person who just had no idea what she was doing, gave no advice, and didn't know how to enter anything into the computer. This nurse was SO much more friendly, and gave me perfect ideas of what to eat throughout the day so I don't feel so fatigued or sick. My breasts aren't as sore as they used to be which makes me both happy and worried. Ive mainly been just really tired and hungry but have aversions to everything which contributes to my moodiness. Also, the blump.

When is your next appointment: April 14th for ultrasound and I cannot wait!

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. I don't really remember when our "first" date was! We started by hanging out with a bunch of mutual friends in high school at my house or the movies or out to eat. I think our first date alone he took me to a movie and dinner. Nothing too special!

Ours was a random Thursday cause we hadn't seen each other the whole week!

I know, I feel like a cliche! The way it went down was much more like "well... you might still be in the fertile window so I guess we should..." We were sick of trying at that point.

Yeah, birthday joke aside, it was "holy crap I'm probably actually going to ovulate this time! BED!"

Same here! My husband keeps calling it a valentines baby and for some reason it bugs the crap out of me because of how cliché it sounds! Also cliché: we weren't trying either that month because of my upcoming surgery. It happened more so because my period actually came early for his birthday and we were doing a rain check weekend. ;) After looking back and recording we realized what days that fell under.
  • Ours was our first time trying. Used OPKS's and didn't get a positive till CD18 (feb 18th).  I thought that maybe I just wasn't going to ovulate. I called him and was like hey I got a smiley Come home!!!
  • @honeybeewebb2424 were you stil able to have your surgery?

@honeybeewebb2424 were you stil able to have your surgery?
I actually had the feeling I was pregnant due to symptoms and I just knew it then. I took a test two days before surgery and it came up negative, and they tested me again at the hospital the morning of the surgery and that was negative as well. Im thinking the first test was too early and the second was too diluted. I took another test about a week after my surgery and sure enough it was positive! I took it as a sign from the universe that I needed to have that surgery. Last time I was pregnant I developed gallstones and had an almost constant sharp pain in my chest. I had a miscarriage in sept, and started having gallbladder attacks in January. Hoping having it removed helps lead to a healthy pregnancy! edit to add: they would not do the surgery had I had a positive test.
  • That's awesome that you were able get it done before the BFP! Hopefully this pregnancy will go nice and smooth for you. Sorry about your loss.

What's new with baby (size, development): measuring 5 days ahead of schedule

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: my body is doing plenty of work so I'm just chillen

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: my parents are awesome.  They took my son to his park explorers class today at 9:30 in the morning in the pouring rain while I had an ultrasound. They are 70.

When is your next appointment: had one today so end of April

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date. We went to a really popular and highly rated David Chang restaurant here in NYC and both hated it. We cook a lot and are total food snobs so both hating a highly revered place was essentially love at first sight for us. Then we went to the bar next door and made out for an hour. The rest is history.

What's new with baby (size, development):

     sweet pea

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing much.  Just waiting to see if a baby is growing in there!

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
I've got a rave for my H tonight.  Today I felt really terrible. Nauseated all day, couldn't find anything I could eat much of, and still had to feed all the kids in my home daycare and play all day.  I was trying to make dinner tonight, feeling crappy, when H came home.  He took over dinner, took over with our kids eating and bedtime, and sent me out to do the grocery shopping (which I normally do after they go to bed) and pick up Pho which was the only thing that sounded good to me. It was awesome.

When is your next appointment: Wednesday!  I cannot wait to see if anything is growing in there!

GTKY: Tell me about you and your SO's first date.
We met on match.com, and for our first date went out to sushi lunch.  We had such an amazing time we decided to take a long walk afterwards, and ended up in a Starbucks, chatting for hours.  It was perfect.
