I would say nothing is locked down unail you sign the birth certificate paper
Kind of funny, but not totally related story. I actually know a girl who had a name picked out for her son. She even had things with his initials on them. She went into labor early and had him at 35 weeks. We live in a remote area and the closest NICU is 2.5 hours away so after he was born him and dad were sent to the NICU while mom recovered. Dad called a while after they got there and said they were there and doing good and by the way I changed his name. He straight up used a completely different name than the one they had planed on! I'll give him credit though, the name she had wanted was terrible and the one he has isn't bad. But I would be livid!!!
I have a name picked for a boy & for a girl (team green) but we aren't telling anyone and are allowing ourselves to meet our little one before it's set in stone.

We are 99% sure we are final on names. We've changed them once but that was awhile ago and I don't see us going through the negotiation process again. Especially because we are so close to them coming and I want names set before delivery because I think it will be make things less complicated.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
We are team green and as of right now are totally set for both a boy and a girl. I haven't gotten names or initials on anything yet, though. Guess we'll have to meet our LO just to be sure
Right now we have: Savannah Jane William Christopher
I said we haven't thought about it yet, which isn't quite right. I think about it all time time, as in "oh geez, I need a name for this little dude". But my husband and I haven't been able to come up with any that I would say make a short list (team green too - so we need to come up with double the names). So I get frustrated and stop thinking about it.
We are set on a name. The middle name could change, but we are pretty sure of that too. I suppose nothing is "official" until it's on the birth certificate, but this is as official as it gets otherwise. I got wooden letters at Target for both boys' bedroom doors and Name Bubbles with first and last names since I needed more clothing labels for my first anyway.
Sometimes it's not even set once it's on the birth certificate. My name was Emily until I was over a month old. My mom just kept saying "She doesn't look like an Emily". They ended up changing it to Jacey (wtf does a Jacey look like?!!?!). With that being said, we're pretty set on our names. We always only had these, so we'd be screwed if we decided we didn't like them!
The baby is due 5 days before my grandpa's birthday. If I go over and he's born that day we'll surprise him and name the baby after him. So his middle name would change from Alexander to James.

That's crazy! I didn't even know you could do that. That's a pretty awesome story though.
We'd narrowed it down to two names, one he liked and one I liked. I think today I've finally agreed to Acadia Estelle. My husband is from Louisiana and Acadia is the parrish his grandpa was from. His grandma's middle name was Estelle. My maiden name is Hester, which is also a girls name, derived from Esther and Estelle also comes from that, so I feel it's a nod in the direction of my family too. I really wanted Adelaide but when I say it out loud it sounds weird to me. Btw, my name was almost Opal (shutter), thankfully my mother named me Kira.
We are 90% set on our name for baby girl, but I chose that we're decided because if we change our minds we know what our other choice would be. Right now it's 1st choice: Audrey Kate 2nd choice: Natalie Itzel
we've started calling her Audrey, and I think it will stick
We are set. Baby girl is Norah Faye and is already referred to by name. My great grandmas middle name was Faye and Hs moms middle name is Faye so we killed two birds with one stone.
we were set with our son too (Matthew) and at first I thought the name didn't fit, but at 1 1/2 years old now I think he's totally a Matthew
We are all set on first name for her but the middle name is giving me hell! To me, it was hard enough to get a first name, let alone find a middle! If my son didn't have one like I originally planned, she wouldn't either! First name is Gwen...middle is non existent! Our last name is 11 letters long and not one of those letters repeat! So I am hoping to find a middle name that is both short and flows well with her first.
My dad kind of did the same thing. Ish. They chose a name for my brother but my dad soon realized that there had been a Harrington in the family every generation dating back to 1624 (my great aunt put a massive family tree together for our family.. It's very impressive!) (also, we are English). My dad went to register my bros name and came home with that as a second middle name for my brother. It just so happened that my mom loved it and it fit really well with the rest of his very British name.
As far as a name for this baby. We have some ideas but we still aren't entirely sure. We will make up our mind when she's here.
We thought we had a name, but so much b******n about is has made me reconsider. She'll either be Irene Renee (original choice) Or Irene Adeline (which I equally love)

H didn't care as long as she is Irene
I like your original choice. It flows much better.
@ahernandez16 Good job labor buddy! I LOVE the name Lincoln it's adorable for a baby but yet sophisticated for an adult!
@AmberLiz99 I love the name Audrey!! I vote for that (even though I'm just an Internet stranger with no say in the matter lol).
We don't have anything set in stone yet but our two choices are Andrew and Evan. H wants to name him Andrew James so he can call him AJ. James is FIL's name (and 2 of my uncles) and Evan is H's middle name. I think I'm going to start calling him both and see which I like better.
With my first daughter I told everyone including my job that my daughter's name was going to be one thing. The day I go to fill out her birth certificate stuff my SO reminded me that I had pledged to name her after my work's mom daughter's name who died. So for 2 days my daughter was a Taylor. We finally figured out our name for our LO(this weekend), Scarlette McKenna.
We've always had the first name set, so it's just been debating the middle name. I love James as the middle name, and my husband wanted Christopher (his first name because I won't let him do Christopher III since he is a junior).
So so after some compromising, we decided on Ethan Christopher. Can't wait to meet this special guy in 11 weeks!
We were a little backwards in picking a name. LO's middle name is basically set in stone, but we are still having a hard time committing to a first name. We have a few we like, but nothing that has made us say, "yep. that's definitely her name!"
Thankfully we're completely set on Brayden Lucas for our little guy. We're keeping it a secret from everyone, which is hard! H let it slip the other day, but not too many people caught it. Of course I burst into tears (damn hormones haha).
I thought we were 100% set but all of a sudden my DH is throwing out that he'd like to use his dad's name as the middle name for Dylan. So we were set on Sean Michael and Dylan Jack but now he wants Dylan Craig. I hate his dad, so I really don't want to name my son after him!! Plus, I don't like the name Craig! I'm trying to hold strong, Jack is after DH's grandfather, so it's so after someone in his family. Plus it's my DH's middle name.
We're set on Gabriel for a first name and I think 90% set on Sean as a middle name. We don't want a jr. so Sean is not an option for a first name and Gabriel is the only name we can agree on. I had some others I liked better but my husband wouldn't even consider them, so we've already started calling him Gabe and my three year old son has embraced calling him "baby Gabe" instead of "sister" so I don't want to mess with the first thing to finally make him ok with this baby being a brother.

Our top contender is Andrew (MN Joseph, after H), and H has been calling him AJ for a good six weeks
We are screwed... we have 3 girl names that we mostly like and 1 boys name that we mostly are okay with. At this point, we've gone through everything that I can think of. If it's a boy, it better come out able to speak so that it can tell us what it wants to be named. If it's a girl, we are going to have to make a last minute decision. Did I mention that we're screwed?
We're about 90% there. We've agreed on Margo(t) Rae, after H's grandmother (M for Marilyn) and my Grandmother (R for Rita). We just need to agree on a spelling. H thinks that the T makes it look old-person-y and that without the T it looks more "modern" whereas I think without the T it looks trendy/incomplete and with the T it looks timeless and classic. Aka, the reason I like the T is the reason he doesn't like it. I'm tempted to go back to bat for my preferred middle name (Renee) and remind him I agreed to his middle name to get my preferred first name spelling. We've still got 3 months so hopefully we'll manage some sort of compromise in the mean time!
Disregard my earlier response.. DH introduced 3 other names into the mix today - all of which I'd consider so this baby won't be named until they are born and we can tell what we think he or she looks like!
