I looked for a thread- not very thoroughly- but didn't see one on this subject. I was wondering if anyone was in college or taking classes that they'll have to postpone? I'm in school to be a Pharmacy Technician which is a 9 month course and I started it when I was 5 weeks pregnant. Because of the way classes are set up my last day will be May 9th even though im not due until May 26th and I'll have to wait until the next start date- or start date after that- to finish my last 6 week long externship. This means I could go up to 13 weeks (there is a 1 week break between the start breaks I'll be missing) being out of school and 19 weeks with no pay. (Because if I'm lucky I'll get an extern go hire position within a pharmacy) This also means that because I'm currently not working to focus on school I have no paid maternity leave and will be relying solely on SO's income for this time period. Is anyone else going through this? If so, how are you handling it? What's your plan?

Re: Any mommy-to-be's in college?
I am so thankful for my full time job though, they pay for all of my tuition and half of my books so that at least takes away the financial burden. It will be different when I'm staying at home though and have to fork up the funds myself on just my husband's income :-/
Good luck to everyone!! I think we'll all be so happy and proud of ourselves in the end!! And inspiring for our LOs as well!!
I feel extremely lucky to be able to take the summer off from both school and work to be with LO. I'm planning on starting back to school and work in the fall, although I'm only planning on taking one course, instead of the three I have right now.
While this doesn't answer your question OP, I appreciate the opportunity commiserate with fellow students who are also in our third trimester. Good luck to us all!

Hyperemesis threw the work plans out the window, and even though my chosen school program is mostly online...yeah, no. I'm super scatterbrained as is on a normal basis, and pregnancy has made it 1000x worse. And let's face it...finals are in May, right around when I'm due. I've seen the article about that super awesome lady who powered through contractions while taking her finals, and while I definitely admire her strength and determination, I have zero desire to emulate her. :P
I'm planning on doing the SAHM thing after LO is born (at least until she is in school), but I'll definitely be picking up classes again in the fall. Even if they are online and more flexible, I'm hoping that we'll be on something of a more set schedule than I know we'll have during the previous months.
I kind of want to take one of those free online go-at-your-own-pace Open Courses, though. I actually really love the learning experience (most of the time), and have been kind of missing it. And there are some really good topics in some places.
