Harrison Michael Schenck March 17 at 4:31 pm 7 lbs 6 oz, 21 inches
Induced at 41+1 on Wed night. Started with Cervadil and had contractions all night. Started Pitocin at 8:30 am and he my water broken at 10:30. I received the epidural at 11:30 and we waited throughout the day as I increased nicely to 10 cm. At 4:18 pm the doc said we could start pushing. He came out in 5 pushes in about 12 minutes!
Charlotte Blythe Elizabeth. Born March 18, at 09:08 AM. Weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and measuring 20 inches long. She's as healthy as can be, and took to nursing beautifully.
Caleb Allen was born March 18th at 3:42 am. We went in Thursday morning to be induced at 40wks 3 days. I was already 2 cm and 70% effaced so we started pitocin around 6 am. Pitocin was turned off twice between then and 11 am cause LO wasn't handling the contractions well. DR checked me at 12:30 and I was 4 cm and my water had broke. We decided to wait it out and see if I would start labor naturally and by 5 PM decided to turn the pitocin back on. We had some really good contractions going and Caleb was handling them amazingly so i got my epidural around 7:30 PM and we were ready to wait it out. Come 11PM I was a solid 6 and all was good, over the next three hours nothing changed and LO started having major decels after contractions. At about 2:30 AM we decided it was time to get him out. I was in the OR by 3:15 and Caleb was here less than 30 minutes later. 8lbs 4 ounces and 22 inches long. Turns out he had his head turned in my pelvis which prevented him from ever dropping below -2 station. He is a full head of long black hair and is the love of our lives!
Labor went so fast! Contractions started at 4:30 in the morning. They stayed between 14-18 minutes apart all morning. My water broke around noon and within 15 minutes they progressed to 4 minutes apart!! My husband raced home from work and we got to the hospital at 1:30. We had DD with us because my mom hadn't arrived from out of state yet! I was 4cm and 80% effaced. By 2:25 I was 10cm and started pushing (no time for an epidural!!! Oh and DD hung out in the nurses lounge eating Popsicles, haha!! My mom got to the hospital like 5 minutes after I started pushing).
My beautiful Adeline Jeanne was born at 3:11 pm! 7lbs 1oz, 19 1/2 inches long! Spitting image of big sister, Juliet! I got my Ides Baby!!
Brooke Summer, born 3/15/16 at 4:45pm. . After 5 years of trying to conceive and unsuccessful fertility treatments, we finally have our baby from IVF! EDD was 3/11/16 so I was induced at 40 weeks 4 days. I went in having been dilated 3cm for a few weeks already and I was 90% effaced that morning. Started pitocin around 8am and after a few painful contractions I asked for the epidural (thank God!), so the whole labor was relatively "easy" to handle. I quickly went to 6cm dilated to 10 cm by 3pm, but even then I never felt the urge to push. I stayed at 10cm for about an hour to allow baby's station to get lower- still didn't have the urge to push so they asked me to "practice" pushing and see what happened. Weirdly enough I only felt the contractions coming on when my right hip started hurting so I knew when to push...an hour and ten minutes later, I pushed out a healthy 9 lb baby girl!! . Tore a bit and had stitches but of course she was worth it!!!
Madison Marie Born 3.10.16 at 40 w 6 d Weighing 8lb 5oz 20.5" long I am proud to say I am a first time mom to this baby girl (: I had cervidil placed in me at 6 pm on the 8th only to have it taken out at 3 am because the baby's heart rate was too low. At 8 am they gave me pitocin..no progress. Stopped the pitocin and then gave me cervidil again at 4 pm on the 9th. After 12 hours of the cervidil I had made it to 1 cm dilated. Pitocin began a 8 am and I was given my epidural after they broke my water at 10 am. By 6 pm I had gone from 1 to 4 centimeters and from 6 to 8 pm I got all the way up to 9 cm. At 952 pm after an hour and a half of pushing this beautiful little girl was born. We love her more each and every day
Charles Preston made his big debut 3.15 at 9:10 pm. Charlie weighed in at 7lb 11oz and is 21 inches long.
I was was admitted on Monday evening (3.14) after another high blood pressure reading. It was semi-expected after being diagnosed with gestational hypertension the week before. I was only dilated to 1 cm, so my OB inserted a foley ball catheter around 10:30 pm with the idea that it would stay in for about 12 hours, or a little less depending on my progression, and then I would start pitocin. Well, after it was inserted I immediately went to the bathroom and it fell out. I went from 1 cm to 4 cm in less than 10 minutes.
Undortunately, that was the extent of things happening quickly for a while for me. They started pitocin overnight and I was still at 4 cm in the morning and until my doctor broke my water at 1:30 I went pretty quickly to 6 cm. That's when the pain started. My contractions became super intense and I decided that if I was an 8 or 9, I'd try and do it epidural free. Doctor checked me at about 4:30 and I was still dilated to just over 6 cm.
I got an epidural shortly after and it was awesome. Loved every minute of it. I was checked again around 6:30 and I was STILL just over 6 cm. DH decided to take a shower while he could and by the time he came out I was feeling major pressure, but I was literally just checked about 30 minutes before that. He insisted I call the nurse in and sure enough I had progressed to 9.5 cm but about 90% effaced.
I was really fighting the urge to push waiting for my doctor. She got there at about 8:15 and I was ready to go! I pushed for just under an hour and ended up with a second degree tear so I'm a bit uncomfortable and my feet are super swollen but we are so in love and adjusting to raising a tiny human!
Late to the party. Vincenzo Luca was born at 36w3d via urgent-turned-emergency cesarean due to a rapidly progressing placental abruption. Half had detached by the time he was born at 11:03pm on February 18. He was 5lb 13oz. We started bf'ing, but he lost more than 10% of his weight and pumping to supplement wasn't enough, so we started formula supplementing.
A a month later and I suspect he's finally over 7lb (appointment tomorrow), and it's more like supplementing formula with my milk. We have an ineffective suckler, and I'm just not producing enough with a pump. He's growing strong and healthy, though.
The experience was traumatic, and I still feel afraid of losing him since we really came close. Given the circumstances, he will likely be an only child.
Laiklyn Waverly was born 3/18 at 3:05am - weighing in at 7lbs 6 ounces and 20 inches long. I was induced due to high blood pressure at 40.2 weeks. I went in at 8:00AM on 3/17 and started cytotec at 9:30am - started contractions around 10:30am, they progressed and my water broke around 5:30pm. I was still only 2cm dilated so they started me on pitocin at 5:45pm - I was set on not getting an epidural, but the contractions were SO TERRIBLE and only 30 seconds apart I couldn't breathe. They gave me fentanyl to take the edge off around 8:00pm which was followed by an epidural about an hour later. I jumped to 9cm by 11:00pm and started pushing around 12:45pm. I have to give it to my DH because we are first time parents and he helped hold my legs as I pushed for over 2 hours. Our sweet little girl arrived and every little thing is worth it and we are so in love with her.
Siena Sage Born this morning 3/20 @ 3:01am 6lb15oz, 20 in tall and long nails! My water broke the night before at 40w3d but active labor didn't start until 9pm. I delivered at home in the water with no interventions as planned. I pushed her out in about 10 minutes! So grateful for my husband and midwives. Never had any moment of doubt. .. she is perfect and we are all doing well.
Samantha Mary was born on 3/18 at 7:20 PM without any pain relieving medications.., 100% natural which I am so proud of making it through! She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and is 20.5" long. Only 12 hours of labor, as a first time mom I only prayed that was a possibility. Woke up at 7:30 am with contractions at 9-13 mins apart but by 2;00 they were 3-4 lasting 90 seconds. Got to the hospital by 2:30 in very dramatic fashion, via the ER was whisked up the elevator where it was discovered I was 7 cm dilated. Went on to labor in the tub until about 5 pm I was at 9 cm. out of the tub I labored on the bed for 10 mins and made it to 10 cm, at which point I pushed and broke my water. Little less than 2 hrs later, she was out and we were in disbelief about how perfect she is and how blessed we are with our overall experience. She's the greatest thing we have ever done!
Hunter was born monday 2/21 at 6:26 pm after going in at 6pm on Sunday to be induced it took a while to get things going but only had to actively push for ten short minutes and he was here so fast and no tearing which mommy was very happy about! He weighed 8lbs 4oz and is 20in long mommy, daddy and big brother kaiden are so excited he finally here .
Rowan James arrived on his due date 3/21 @ 5:50am. I felt like contractions were getting stronger about 2:45a.m and woke the hubby so we could go to the hospital. He weighed 8.15 and was 21.5 in long. Mommy and baby are doing great and big sister is so in love!
Ziva was born on March 9th at 2.14 pm. She weighted 7.1 pounds and 21.5 inch long.
My water broke at home on March 8th at 11pm.we rushed to hospital and aft 14 hours of labor our little girl was born. She is absolutely gorgeous and we are getting there with breast feeding .
Benjamin Joseph born March 6 at 10:05 pm (Due date was March 9). He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz at birth.
I went into labor at 8:30 am with contractions already starting around 1:30-2:30 mins apart lasting around 30 seconds long. The midwives were confused and first thought it might be false labor because of how close the contractions had already started. I went in at 2:30 pm and was only 2 cm so they sent me home. The contractions went from bad to worse and I called them around 5 pm and they said come in at 8. When I got there at 8 I was 6 cm so they prepped the room for me and an hr later I was fully dilated, ready to push! Pushed for an hr, and out came little Benji! We had had THREE ultrasounds saying he was a girl and the entire nursery and all the clothes we bought were PINK! It was a big surprise!!! First photo is him at 3 days old.
Mila Grace due 3/19, born 3/22 via scheduled C section. This girl weighed 10#12oz at birth, are you kidding me! Such a chunk and I love her to pieces. First time single mom and she's the absolute love of my life.
Gage Kellogg was born 3/22/16 at 835am. After days of fluid leaking and being sent home from the hospital once already I had a doctors appointment they checked fluid levels and they were at 5.9 (dropped from 8 on Thursday to Monday). Even though I wasn't considered low levels (have to be a 5) they sent me to be induced. After 15.5 hours of labor I gave into an epidural something I did not want and was then checked and the baby was there. Four pushes later he arrived. Baby was placed directly on my chest as daddy let me know it was a boy! Still having a difficult time dealing with getting an epidural but just happy our little boy arrived and is healthy.
Leon Austin was born 3/10/16 at 39 weeks. Induced due to low platelets and fluid. I was dilated to 2 1/2 cm when I got there. Started pitocin at 9 am (after 4 failed IV attempts). They were having a difficult time keeping babies heartbeat on the monitor and were still unsure if he was tolerating contractions when the on call doctor came in to break my waters. I told her I did not want it broken without my doctor and she blatantly disregarded me screaming no and stop and broke my bag of waters under the guise of just checking my cervix. My regular OB came to the room 2 hours later to break my waters and was super pissed that the on call doctor had already done so. Anyway, after that the contractions picked up but by 4 pm I was only dilated to 4 cm and I requested the epidural. Since my contractions were not registering on the regular monitor they also placed an internal contraction monitor. They figured it would be awhile for me to finish dilating and they advised me to take a nap. About an hour and a half later I started shivering uncontrollably and my nurse decided to check me again as this can be a sign of complete dilation. Sure enough, I was fully dilated and ready to push. They called my doctor who needed 20 minutes to get there as well as the alternate on call doctor (I wouldn't let Dr.waterbreak in my room again). I started pushing at 6:15 and after 6 pushes, Leon was born at 6:22 pm! My husband, mom and 3 sisters were all in the room as well as 2 doctors (one training) 2 med students and 5 nurses (2 of which were training). My oldest sister cut the cord. We were able to do skin to skin immediately and he started nursing like a champ right away! He was 8 pounds 9 ounces and only 17 1/2 inches long. We are so in love with our son and cannot believe what a calm and happy baby he is.
Amelia Madelyn DOB 3.15 7pounds13 ounces 20.5inches
I was induced due to high blood pressure on 3.12. After 45 hours of labor (11 with a foley catheter) with no pain meds or epidural and I finally have my sweet girl
My sweet baby Josephine was born March 22nd at 2:09 pm via repeat csection. She was 9 lb 1.5 oz and 20.5 inches. She is such a sweet baby and her big sister is absolutely in love with her and so are my DH and I!
Julia Marie born today, 3/27 at 9:30am due 3/22 but decided to wait until Easter 8lbs 12oz, 20 inches
I was having mild contractions all afternoon yesterday but I honestly thought they were false. Went to bed early just in case and sure enough, woke up to a POP of my water breaking at 3:30am. Hung out for about an hour while we waited for DD to get picked up and contractions started to get stronger. Went to the hospital and was admitted. Thankfully asked for the epidural right away so they got the fluids started asap and it was good to go around 6:30am. Hung out for a couple of hours and when the doc checked me around 9 (shift changes definitely delayed things) it was time to push. About 5 pushes later there she was! It took forever for my left leg to unnumb but overall I feel super lucky and happy with the entire situation. Minor 1st degree tear with 3-4 stitches but not really in any pain. We're super in love but no one more so than big sister.
Porter Francis born March 24 (on his due date!) at 12:26am. Contractions started 3/22 around 4am at about 30-40 minutes apart and maintained at that pace throughout the entire day. I woke up on 3/23 around 3am with contractions, took a shower and tried to stay calm. When I woke up they were about 10 minutes apart and by 5:30 they were at 5-6 minutes apart so we headed to the hospital. I was only dilated to a 2 but went up to a 3 within an hour of getting to the hospital. My Dr came and broke my water around 8:30am. He was 7lbs 15oz, 21 inches and was born after 21 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing! Unfortunately he was born with an infection and has to stay in NICU for 7 days. The original plan was to have a med free birth but as we all know things to always go according to plan. Ended up with an epidural due to high blood pressure but he made it and that's all that matters. Love this little man so incredibly much ❤❤
Adalie Grace, born 3-2-16. 7lbs 18 1/2in. Was in labor for 15 hours and couldn't dilate past a 5. Went in for a c-section around 10:30pm and our princess made her appearance at 11:06pm.
We went in for induction on Thursday night at 9pm and got all set up. The nurse that started my IV tried in my left hand first and dug around a lot and bruised me good, so I immediately almost passed out but little man did really well with my blood pressure drop so they were happy about that. Once they finally got all that set up they got the cervidil put in around 10. I ate some spicy tacos and was having contractions already, but was still at a 1 when they initially checked me. After about an hour I was having better contractions and got to a 1.5 and asked for pain meds, that lasted no time at all. Lol. Within a half hour of getting it my contractions were way stronger and I hit 2 cm. They had my doc on the phone for another patient and she said I could get the epidural at that point, I was really worried about that but my anesthesiologist was awesome and all I felt through it all was strong contractions. Once I was numb she checked me again and I was at 4 cm. My mom had just gotten back and I was laying there and I told my mom I felt something wet down there and it was my water breaking! She rolled me on my left side and within maybe an hour I told my mom and chad that I felt a lot of pressure and like I had to poop. Called the nurse and she initially said there wasn't a whole lot they could do for pressure. 10 min later it was way worse so I asked her to check me and I was complete! That was around 3 or 330. They called the doc and I pushed for an hour and at 4:47 he literally came flying out of me, with A LOT of fluid to go with him. My mom threw her blanket on the floor on top of it. Lol. It was crazy cool! I thought it was going to be wayyyyy worse than it was. I'm pretty proud of myself. We are over the moon in love with our little man. He is breastfeeding great and sleeping great and gaining weight by the day. I cant even begin to describe how lucky I am. Congratulations to all of you on your LO's!!
Aletheia Vela Brunsvik, born March 26th (her due date!) at 11:20pm.... 7lb15oz, 20 inches long with an adorably full head of hair.
Her birth was everything I could have hoped for and more. From the first contraction to her birth it was 12 hours, with only 3.5 hours of active labor and 30 minutes of pushing. Completely unmedicated in a little birth center with two wonderful midwives, candles lit and spa music playing. As a first time mom I was wholly expecting to be in labor for at least two days, and both I and my midwives thought she'd be at least a week late. But she was right on time! And labor was unbelievably fast, it still feels so surreal. The whole birthing process was intensely painful, but it was also deeply spiritual. It amazes me the instantaneous love that washes over you when you first hold your baby. That was the greatest night of my life and she is the greatest blessing! Breastfeeding has been really difficult though. She's had a rough time latching well, and boy have my nipples been put through the wringer, but she's 1 week old today and we're finally getting the hang of this. Everything is worth it for that precious face!!! We're so in love with her and so grateful for how everything went. She's an angel.
After 26 hours of unmedicated labor and no interventions, I was able to catch my little Ameron (pronounced like Cameron, but without the "C") myself. It was a wonderful experience getting to catch my own baby and its something I will never forget. He was born on March 22nd at 117am, 2 days after his "guess date". 6lbs 10oz, 20in long and absolutely perfect.
Our little Harper Grace was born 03/31/16 at 10:13pm at 40+1. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz & was 20 and 1/2 inches long. She is so perfect, she has daddy's nose & mums hands & ears and we are so in love with her!
Originally I had planned to go natural, but was open to anything as long as both her and I were safe and healthy. We went to L&D on her due date after several hours of regular contractions that continued getting more intense and closer together. After 6 hours there I hadn't dilated more than 3cm even though my contractions were at 2 min apart and because they were busy they sent us home. We had an appointment with my doctor the next morning (literally 9.5 hours later which was frustrating as we live about 45 min from the hospital, and my OBGYNs practice is partnered with and located in the same hospital). At my appointment I had dilated to a 4 so my doctor had me admitted because she's an angel! After another 3 hours of contractions that were unfortunately localized to my lower back, I opted for the epidural. I also got the lowest dosage of pitocin which I believe they said was only 2ml. The epidural was a little strong and they gave me Benadryl for the itching which made me loopy so when I got checked 2 hours later we were shocked I was at 9 cm and almost ready to push. The doctor on-call Broke my water and it took 2.5 hours and the epidural FINALLY wearing off enough for me to actually feel the urge to push and she was here! My doctor made it just prior to delivering which was great as well as we originally didn't think she'd make it back. Just a minor 1st degree tear & about 14 hours of labor which I can't complain about too much as a FTM. She was the only little girl born at the hospital that day and just made it into March under the wire. Mum and Dad and baby are already home and settled, working on breastfeeding, but we couldn't be happier!
Tikka Alan Ross Born March 23 at 8 lb 1 oz, 20.25", and with tons of hair! Labor was short and intense at just 12 hours from my water breaking at home until he was in my arms at the hospital. I cannot say enough about the support system I have at home and could not have made it through the last couple of weeks without them. Both Tikka (pronounced Teeka) and I are recovering well despite a few minor complications (he came out crooked and has a decent sized blood pocket on his head and momma tore pretty severely from it). We are so incredibly in love with this little human!
Evelyn Michelle was born 3/11 at 323am weighing 9lb 6oz.
I was scheduled for induction on 3/9 but went into the hospital the night of 3/8 as my cervix was still very hard and closed due to a ring of scar tissue from a cerclage that was placed at 18 weeks.
That first night was for cervidil to start softening the scar tissue/cervix. By the next morning I was 2cm and had started having contractions. By that night, there hadn't been any progress so they used a Foley (sp?) balloon. After 3 attempts at insertion (ouch) it was finally in. By the next mid-morning I had gotten to 4cm. Later that day they started a pitocin drip and sometime after that I had an epidural. By the end of that day, I was still only at 4cm.
The doctor decided we would do a c-section since my cervix was hot and puffy and I had a fever. They got my husband and I prepped and we were just waiting for an OR. By that point, I was relieved to almost be done as the epidural had already fallen out twice, I hadn't slept or eaten and I had just hit my emotional wall. Then, while waiting for an OR, the doctors had a shift change. Not only did the new doctor walk in, whip off my blankets and cram her hand up my vag in front of my mother in law without so much as a "hi, my name is..." but she decided no c-section. I had to labor it out. Ultimately, I am happy I did but I wanted to bite her face. Repeatedly. Like an angry badger. Especially when my epidural failed a 3rd time about a half hour later.
Finally, I hit 10cm around 230am and she was out an hour later. All the pressure from pushing caused my eyes to mostly swell shut and so many vessels broke in my face I looked like I had been beaten. I could still see just enough to see her when they put her on my stomach so Im content with that.
At no point was Evie in distress and she was perfectly healthy once out. Her glucose levels were borderline and she had to do 2 days in NICU to receive antibiotics because of my fever. Despite being a NICU patient she still spent a lot of time in our room, which really helped with breastfeeding.
To be fair to the delivering doctor, she had to run to another room after one of my contractions, delivered another baby and literally ran back to my room and delivered Evie at my next contraction. Then immediately after stitching my up ( episiotomy and 2 tears) ran to deliver a third baby. So she ended up being a minor rockstar. My MIL and I will just pretend she has never seen my lady bits.
Our team green March baby turned into a team pink April baby on April 8th at 41w2d! Claire Christine was 9 lbs 8 oz and 21.5 in long! She wasn't tolerating labor very well and did not tolerate pushing so after 12 hours of labor we had a c section. Definitely did not go as planned but over the moon for our little girl now
Riley Edward March 17, 2016 (late in posting, I know!) 8 lb 15 oz, 20 3/4 in long
I was induced at 41+2 (Never did I ever think I would last that long!). Labor started slow, but between 4 and 4:30 I went from 4 cm to 10! My sister and MIL barely made it to the hospital (in their defense I had told them there was no rush haha) About 20 minutes of pushing and Riley was here!
Recovery has been good. I had a second degree tear, but the healing was much faster this time. Nursing has been crap, honestly, and I'm about to throw in the towel. But I've had a much easier time handling the sleep deprivation this time around!
I'm trying to load pictures from the hospital to my computer, but my phone is being a jerk. So here's one from our newborn session:
Our rainbow baby, little Sigrun was born March 30, 2016.
Labor started with irregular contractions around midday on the 29th. They got stronger and more regular throughout the day. We had my brother and his GF come over to watch DS that night and went to the hospital. When we got there I was in active labor and got admitted. I tried laboring in the tub, but couldn't find a good position for pain relief. I opted for the epi and got it shortly after. Then both I and DH was able to get some very mutch needed sleep. After 1,5 h the midwife woke me up so that I could use the birthing ball for a while in hopes of getting LO further down. After nearly 11 hours of active labor Sigrun was born, a good 19 inches and right above 7lbs. Mom, Dad and big brother are all in love
Cameron Alexander, born 4/7 at 7:56p at 41 weeks, weighed just over 7lbs. and was 21in long. I had an induction scheduled for the next morning and he decided he wanted to come on his own time after all!
Re: March 2016 Birth Announcements

I am proud to say I am a first time mom to this baby girl (:
I had cervidil placed in me at 6 pm on the 8th only to have it taken out at 3 am because the baby's heart rate was too low.

6lb15oz, 20 in tall and long nails!
My water broke the night before at 40w3d but active labor didn't start until 9pm. I delivered at home in the water with no interventions as planned. I pushed her out in about 10 minutes! So grateful for my husband and midwives. Never had any moment of doubt. .. she is perfect and we are all doing well.
He weighed 8lbs 4oz and is 20in long mommy, daddy and big brother kaiden are so excited he finally here .
My water broke at home on March 8th at 11pm.we rushed to hospital and aft 14 hours of labor our little girl was born. She is absolutely gorgeous and we are getting there with breast feeding .
due 3/19, born 3/22 via scheduled C section. This girl weighed 10#12oz at birth, are you kidding me! Such a chunk and I love her to pieces. First time single mom and she's the absolute love of my life.

Congratulations to all of you on your LO's!!
born on Easter 3/27 at 12:24 am.
beautiful rainbow baby!
Big sister Kaitlyn is so excited and everyone is healthy!
Born March 23 at 8 lb 1 oz, 20.25", and with tons of hair! We are so incredibly in love with this little human!
our 4th team green babe is a GIRL (much to my surprise)!
born at 1:51a on 3/22/16 (41w, guess date was the Ides)
7lb 8oz, 19inches
after a blazing fast 90 minute labor, my TinyCompanion was born in the water at our local hospital
took us three full days to name her ~
Rose Marie is our sweet li'l caboose, and our family feels complete … we are so in love with our rainbow!

March 17, 2016 (late in posting, I know!)
8 lb 15 oz, 20 3/4 in long
I was induced at 41+2 (Never did I ever think I would last that long!).
