  Brown discharge is typically not something to worry about. Bright red blood, or increased discharge with cramping/back pain would warrant a call to your MD but if it's just a bit of beige discharge with no other symptoms, you are probably safe to watch and wait.

  I had this yesterday as well. Called my OB office and spoke with a nurse. She said the same. If it is the only abnormal symptom (not that much IS normal right now), to watch it and wait. She said to call if it worsens, but if you see serious red (enough to fill a pad quickly) to go to the emergency room. No red here yesterday either, but man did it freak me out!

  I've had this.  My doctor's nurse said it can happen from sex, vaginal ultrasounds, and sometimes for no apparent reason.  Like PP's have said, brown/beige is pretty normal and not anything to worry about.  My doctor told me to call if my spotting is red or if the brown/beige discharge does not go away after several days.

  @kimberdubs I'm glad you got some peace of mind as well and yay for no red!. It freaked me out too, but I'm PGAL so every little thing sets me off. Not fun ha.

  I just had this recently and the doctor and nurse basically told me 1/3 of their patients experience this in the first trimester.  Haven't had it since the one spot.  They said it was probably a mix of sex and standing all day but that it could be anything.

  Can be implantation bleeding, happens around 7 weeks. I've had it with all 3 pregnancies now.
