Anatomy Ultrasound (first time mommy)

Hello everyone!! I am scheduled for my anatomy ultrasound this coming Wednesday and honestly I'm very nervous and I'm not sure why. This is my first baby and I'm very happy about being pregnant but I think I'm still in denial a little. I also had my gender ultrasound done at 16 weeks and IT'S A GIRL!!! I'm very excited about it but for whatever reason I've been having a feeling that my doctor was wrong... Is that normal for first time moms ?

    It's normal to be nervous for the anatomy scan. I was nervous and excited for me. They are, however, a really amazing experience. You'll love it! Gender identification is pretty easy for an ultrasound tech, so I would be surprised if it was wrong. It can happen, but it's not common.

    I was told girl at 14 weeks, 16 weeks, and 19 weeks. It's definitely a girl.

    It's totally normal to be nervous even as a non-first time mom! There's a whole thread on anatomy scans where people post their experiences and how things went (I think the title is "how was your anatomy scan") that might be helpful to ease some of your anxiety. Sometimes hearing other's experiences can make it feel a little less scary!

    I just had my first anatomy ultrasound and it was exactly like previous ultrasounds except they take more pictures of every part of the babies body and u get to see the brain, the bones, kidneys etc it was pretty neat

    I hardly enjoyed the anatomy scan, I was supposed to be excited about seeing our little man but I was looking at every little body part as closely as the sonographer was. We had a loss last August so I'm definitely a little on edge this pregnancy. But in all truthfulness this is just parenting! You'll be just as worried about little things once she's here too
