  It's normal to feel overwhelmed, I think we all do sometimes! For a first pregnancy with no risk factors, having a first appointment around 12 weeks is totally normal--it just depends on what's standard for your OB.

  FYI, there's a lot of helpful info in the "PSA" thread at the top of this board that will help you navigate how people around here use it and how different threads are organized. For example, there's a thread for symptoms you might find helpful, and weekly "ticker change" threads depending on what day of the week you cross to a new week milestone (eg I'll go from 12 to 13 weeks on Tuesday, so I participate in the Tuesday ticker change thread). You can also search for most things if you have a specific question--odds are someone else has thought about the same thing and there's likely a convo going that you could join or reignite by posting there!
