I know I'll get another c section I'm not ignorant mrsDoh11, I'm merely asking other people's experiences cause I don't know what sorta answer to expect or how other people found it
I had an emergency c-section with my now 7th month old. The hospital here doesn't allow vbacs, so another c-section it will be! The good news, I guess, is that apparently the recovery period is a lot shorter with your second c-section.
I'm sure it will be a little more stressful on your body, because it's not been that long. I had a c-section with my son & my Dr told me to wait a minimum of 9 months to get pregnant again for everything to fully heal. But I've heard of it happening as early as 4 months after for some & going just fine.
@ewiltz1921, my doctor said if there is at least 12 months between pregnancies, VBAC is an option. If yours is okay with VBACs, you might be able to.
@Shawnee11507 that's awesome. I am really hoping so. I am looking into a midwife group now that delivers at the hospital. Hoping they may be willing to at least let me try. Did you or are you planning on having a vbac?
I'm in the same boat. I haven't officially introduced because I don't know which board I'm in yet. I'll come in right at the end of Nov or very beginning of Dec. I see my ob the end of april. When I ask I'll tell you what she says. I know it will be specific for me, but it may be a little useful for you. *hopefully
@ewiltz1921, no I think I am going to have a repeat C. My new Dr asked me about it today & said if I went into labor naturally they wouldn't try to stop it, but I've had LEEP before, so that can make the uterus lining weaker and I don't feel like a good candidate.
