Have to skip a month :(

I just got back from my CD3 baseline sono and I have a cyst on my ovary (I only have 1) so the doctor wants me to take a break this month. This was going to be our first IUI and I was so hopeful. I also made the mistake of asking exactly what my AMH was last December and found out it's very low at 0.389. Sometimes I wonder if I just need to give up and focus on my DH and DS more.

I am looking forward to a break from all the hormones, but I'm beyond sad that I basically have no chance of getting pregnant this month. Has anyone else had that low of an AMH and been able to get pregnant at all?

    So sorry you're benched this month. If focusing on your DH and DS helps, by all means, throw your energy into that. But it's ok to feel lost and longing for a bigger family. Wishing you luck. Take the opportunity to treat yourself.

    I"m sorry you have to take a month off..It sucks but I had to take a month off two different times due to a cyst.  So I know the feeling.  As for your AMH, you can still get pregnant..do you happen to know your FSH and AFC (follicle count) They really all go together to make a bigger picture.  I have an amh lower than yours.  Mine was tested twice..first time was last march and came back at 0.36, then in May was tested with a different RE and came back at 0.1.  So very low.  I am currently 5 weeks pregnant so it can happen but can take longer.  For now focus on your DH and DS with this month off but then know it is possible for you to still get pregnant again

    Thanks rachlee2010 and I'm so happy for you!. I know my FSH is 9, but I don't know if my AFC has been tested. I'm going to enjoy my break from the hormones and try to stay positive that May will be our month!

    What does AMH stand for again? I feel ignorant for not knowing. But curious. I may ask the doctor submit a test for myself for this.

    10/2009 - TTC#1 Stopped BCP! Let's DO this!
    1/2010 - BFP (Natural) --> 10/2010 - DS born! Yay!
    12/2010 - DH diagnosed with stage 3B testicular cancer. #cancersucks
    10/2011 - Complications with DH and lymph nodes in groin area removed. No longer able to ejaculate.
    1/2014 - TTC#2 - IUI#1. No luck. Findings: DH sperm did not survive freeze. RE recommends IVF with ICSI.
    3/2014 - IVF Cycle #1 Started BCP
    4/2014 - Lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur
    5/7/2014 - ER day (25 eggs retrieved, 15 mature)
    5/10/2014 - 6 fertilized, 3 embryos frozen - one grade A and two Grade B. Plan was to grow out to blastocyst stage but rest of eggs arrested by day 3. Decided to freeze on day 3.
    2/9/2016 - FET #1 with Grade A (8 cell - 3 day embryo); 2/20 - Beta was <5. BFN.  :/ Waiting for period and start next FET.
    7/8/2016 - FET #2 with Grade B (8 cell - 3 day embryo), fingers crossed this one sticks. :)
    7/19 - Beta was 74. BFP!!!!; 7/21 - Beta was 182; 1st U/S on 8/2; 2nd U/S on 8/16 :)
