I just randomly got an invite for Sephora Play subscription box and I signed up because it was only $10. This was the first one I've signed up for. But I see soooo many subscriptions you can get (Stitchfix, birch box, ipsy, Blue Apron, Fabletics etc etc) that I'm curious what ones you ladies get. Any raves that you recommend or ones to avoid? What ones are horrible to cancel?

Re: NBR- Subscriptions
i get stitch fix. I really like it actually. My stylist does pretty well. I've only returned a couple of items. The quality on the items kind of varies though. I'm a little grouchy because a sweater I got from them several months ago has started to have a pull in the fabric. I linked my profile to my Pinterest style board and they can see what I pin and pick similar items. If you want something specific each fix you can tell them and they follow it. I know some people have said they feel their stylist ignores the request but mine always follows it well!
I've been wanting to try Stitch Fix, but I'm a little hesitant. I work in a super casual office (yoga pants and sweatshirts are the normal uniform here) and am at the gym right after, so I just don't see myself wearing the pieces I would get. But I totally aspire to dress nicer, so I would like to give it a shot.

I subscribe to Just Fab and Shoedazzle, and I like both of those sites because you have the option to skip the month if you don't see anything you like in your showroom, or if your budget can't accommodate a new shoe or bag purchase. I have ordered several items from them over the years, and the price is great, and quality is impressive.
Right now the subscriptions that I have that come automatically each month that I am loving are Naturebox and Scentbird. Naturebox is a monthly healthy (or well all natural, I'm not sure how healthy some of the snacks are because every box I have gotten has been delicious) snack box, and you can choose 3 or 5 snacks for your box, and you get to choose what you get each month. Like I said I've been getting them for almost a year now, and not one box has disappointed me. Scentbird is a monthly perfume subscription box, and it's similar to naturebox, where you get to pick out a perfume each month and they send it to you. If you don't like it you can send it back, and they will replace it. It's a good way to try out perfumes before committing to a full size, and there's more product in what they send you than in a rollerball I believe. It's $14.95 a month.

I subscribe to Birchbox (and my husband subscribes to Birchbox Man). He loves his, but I feel like I get the same thing every month. I'll probably cancel mine soon.
I also subscribe to Happy Mail from A Beautiful Mess. It's a monthly stationary service where they send you cute greeting cards, stickers, and a print that is frame worthy. By far my favorite subscription service -- I am a stationary junkie. I LOVE sending snail mail.
I subscribe to Blue Apron and Hello Fresh and alternate every week depending on which recipes I like the best for the week. I love them. I get so stressed picking out recipes for the week, and I don't have to worry about it with them. And I feel like a gourmet chef when the meal is complete. I've been doing it for a month, and all meals have been delicious.
I have also tried Stitch Fix, but I wasn't a fan. I bought a pair of jeans, a cardigan, and dress pants. I feel like the stylist just didn't get me, and I don't think the items she sent were worth the price.
I also used to subscribe to the "Treat Yourself Box," but the price was outrageous for the little items they were sending to me every month.
I also subscribe to Netflix and get 2 DVDs at a time. I like the streaming service, but I like getting new new releases.

I've been wanting to try out Hello Fresh or Blue Apron, but I can't convince DH that it's a good idea. What do you ladies think that use it? Are you paying about the same you spend at the grocery store or do you notice you are spending more but saving the hassle?

I use Blue Apron, have for the past year and I LOVE IT! It really mixes up the monotonous weekly cooking schedule, and it makes me try a lot of things that I wouldn't have thought to make!
I have also used RocksBox and I loved it! Birch box as well, but I ended the subscription after a year because I now have a huge box of beauty samples that I need to work my way through, but def worth it!
One of my favorite ones recently was Ditto, it is a sunglasses one! I loved it because I could wear them around and try them out before deciding to buy, I am super picky about sunglasses, so this was a big plus for me!

I've done a few of these. I got BirchBox for a while and really had fun with it but I got backed up in samples so I canceled it. About a year later, I tried out ipsy, and I've just canceled it because the same thing happened again!
I've also tried out graze, which I really did enjoy, but I had braces put on a few months ago and had to cancel it because most of the snacks are too crunchy. I thought it was all delicious, though!

you can use the code KRGGQT at Hello Fresh for $40 off your first box (so you'll only pay $20!) AND it gives me a $20 credit.
To the girls that messaged me for the codes, I hope you love it! Let me know which one you liked best! I should be a spokesperson for these companies! I'm getting them so much business today! Haha!

I also get Blue Apron.
@MamaMunn my H wasn't too happy about the price but once he tried it he was on board. I love that there's no commitment to Blue Apron. I can choose no shipments for the next 8 weeks. DH is picky so this is a perfect system for us. We usually only get a box every one or two months. Groceries here are expensive so $60 for 3 meals is do-able.

It is a WAY better version of something like Stitch Fix, however, it's done through Nordstrom so it's all name brands and quality you can trust. You give them your budget for items and they do have a wide range, it's surprisingly affordable. You have your own stylist, I love my girl Jessie. Your box comes FULL of stuff from clothes to jewelry to shoes, whatever you want. If you don't like anything you can send the whole thing back and it doesn't cost you a dime. I have gotten some really great pieces, even active wear, from them.
I cannot say enough good things about the service.
I told her we are TTC and that I'm only investing in flowy tops and looser fitting things and I have a box at home now that has some really great stuff in it that I haven't had time to try on. The hardest part is only picking out a few things to keep! Oh and they give you 10 full days before you have to return the stuff, which is nice. You click a link and UPS picks it up from your front door.
I use TheFresh20 (www.thefresh20). It's a meal planning service and it basically taught me to cook. I have been using it off and on for about two years and love not having to figure out what to make. They have different meal plans (for one, classic, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.), but they're generally very healthy. They send you 5 meals with a prep page (all the things you can get ready ahead of time), shopping list, recipes, and nutrition facts. I do the classic and there's always four meat meals (one meal makes enough meat for two meals - so you're only cooking meat three days) and then a vegetarian meal on Friday. There have been a few meals that I didn't like, but in general they're delicious. And if there's something in there that I don't like or something I'd rather have, it's not difficult to cater more to my family's tastes. I originally found it through Groupon, so if anyone is interested, check there first to see if there's a deal!
@AMGreely How's the price of Trunk Club compared to StitchFix. I looked at StitchFix, but couldn't justify the price on a regular basis. Plus if you don't buy anything, they still charge you $20.

@houseofsetters Yay, I hope you love it!
@SandwichLover You will not be disappointed and I'm sure you'll cancel your Stitch Fix after your first trunk. I've converted several of the girls at my office and they get so excited to show me their items they kept, haha!
One tip, definitely "preview" your trunk when you get the email and don't be afraid to hit the "don't send" button, it helps them get to know you and they will add other items to the trunk before they ship it out. I always get more than what's in my preview. Some people (my DH) are apprehensive to use the don't send button. I use the crap out of it and my trunks are always better than his, haha!
