I didn't see this started yet.
My win is that just when I was getting hungry and trying to figure out an afternoon snack, my super awesome co-worker walked in with about 200 Chicken McNuggets for my department, more than enough for everyone to have 5 or more. They were so delicious and just what the baby wanted!!
PS, sorry no GIF, I never figured out how to on mobile.
Re: Winning Wednesday 3/23
1. Bacon for dinner.
2. He can work on the pool so we can hopefully swim this weekend.
3. He can play with DS so I can have a much needed bubble bath!!
Winning!
- I have a week off for spring break which means more time with DS and DH, not being pathetically exhausted by the end of the evening, and lots of naptime nesting.
- I just got a call that my cousin/one of my best friends is in active labor with her first! She was due a little over a week ago, so she's been on baby watch for a little while now.
- LO has finally moved out of being trapped on the right side of my uterus and is still malpositioned, but is at least better balanced so it doesn't hurt. Eta: nope, nevermind...he's returned to the right and is kicking me in the back.

Long story short we have already reserved a spot in a daycare for our Lil Bit. It's 192/week. So when we were doing our taxes we discovered that payroll at DH's work had somehow changed the tax withholding percentages (he did NOT authorize any changes with a W4) and as a result nowhere near enough was taken out and we now owe over 3600 to the good ole IRS. This pretty much eliminates the majority of our savings. And now we can no longer afford to put her in daycare when the time comes.
We had been planning on selling one of our vehicles. That is background information
So anyway I used to work at the mall and a lady out there used to work at the info desk. I know her vaguely and know her on Facebook. She also watched/was a nanny for one of my bff's kids for a few years. She then moved to Florida. She is currently back in NC. I think there are some problems or something in her life or something going on, but that is neither here nor there. She's back here for six months to a year. We talked to her and asked her how much she would charge to watch our baby. She charges 80 to 100 per week. AND she is in desperate need of a car.......... So we made a deal where she is going to be a nanny to our baby in exchange for the car. We are asking 3000 for the car and she is going to do 3000 worth of nannying for us. To me that is WINNING! AND she will watch the child in our home. I will be here b/c I work from home. So that is a relief as well. I will know my child is cared for and I can keep an eye on things. Really I believe that God had a hand in that, b/c she really needs a car and we will really need childcare. We are going to play it smart and draw of a contract etc and get it notarized. We are going to do it the right way so that both of us are covered.
Second thing is a while back I posted about how Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot had really screwed us over on the furniture set. I posted this a while back. But basically they found out three days after the order was placed that they could not get it in the color we ordered so our order was canceled and we just were told about it two weeks or so ago. Our neighbor works for them and she went above and beyond the call of duty to get us another set ordered and told us yesterday that a set had came in and she put our names on it so we get to pick it up this weekend. I am so happy about that b/c it was looking like the nursery furniture was not even going to get here until after Lil Bit was born.

Anyway I had a winning Weds because I broke up with my OB today at 33 weeks pg! She told me they just changed their vbac policy last week, which means I would be forced to have a repeat csection. Nope! I want to try for a vbac! I am switching to a midwives group at a very pro-vbac hospital, #1 in the state! Only problem is its in downtown Chicago and I am waaaay out in the suburbs. Lets just pray I don't go into labor on a Fri at 5:00 pm (although DH says we can take the train, ha ha). Feeling super empowered!
That's funny.. we've both been great with weight gain, no GD, and both of us got our sweet tooth back! lol Mine didn't come back until the middle of the second tri though. You can always send me some of those chocolates!

One of my old colleagues was from South Africa and whenever I'd come to work with a bag full like that, I had to make sure to save her some of the good Cadbury stuff
@AdorkablePixie : I still have some chocolates my FIL bought me when we went to visit when I was 7 weeks pregnant, at the height of my chocolate aversion. Maybe because those chocolates were associated with that time in my head, but I'm not sure I can ever have them (and it's been more than 6 months now, so they're probably not very good anymore...). Thank god we announced to them I was pregnany then because he would have thought something was seriously wrong with me!
Umm.. I will repay you shipping to send me some chocolate. For serious.
Also, I don't understand why we don't just have the same chocolate in the US. That doesn't make sense. We like good chocolate here too!! I get the Cadbury crème eggs and the Cadbury mini eggs, but that's it.
