Baby Books :)

Hello! Just wondered what books you are enjoying reading to our little ones? My LO is starting to look at the books and this afternoon we got a smile as I was reading! (As a book geek this makes me incredibly happy!).

She smiled at Don't let the pigeon drive the bus.
Other books we're enjoying:
Oh! The places you'll go
Chica Chica Boom Boom
The hungry caterpillar
Goodnight moon

@kksquared we love Pout Pout Fish! & we have similar shelves ☺️
DS loves black & white books. They really grab his attention. His favorite is Hello Bugs. We also love DaDa because the silly animal sounds and Don't Push the Button. We recently started getting touch an feel books and they've been getting a lot of attention.

LO is still a bit wee to REALLY understand, but she seems to like Dr Seuss.  We've been reading "Hop on Pop" and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" before bed.  The bold colors keep her attention. She also LOVES "Moo Baa LaLaLa", and my mom got her a personalized storybook called "The Girl Who Lost Her Name", which she seems to dig ;)

Edit: My husband reads her "Goodnight Dune" from the website before her naps.  Twice through works wonders!
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • The only book that I've read that has good a reaction from him with was "Beneath the Sleepy Stars", but I think that he will be into all his books soon.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Giraffes Can't Dance is the best!
    Very Hungry Caterpillar
    Hot Dog, Cold Dog
    Rhymoceros
    Chica Chica Boom Boom
Guess how much I love you
    Corduroy
    Moo, Baa, La La La
    Dear Zoo
We have a book called Black and White,  and she likes that a lot. It's just random pictures of objects on a white background
    Various touch n feel books
    Cloth/crinkly books
And DH reads Harry Potter to her
  • I read LO Harry Potter as well... Or whatever book I'm reading. I've also just put on A Song of Ice and Fire audiobook.... He babbles whenever I read. :)
I have a TON of baby books but I feel super silly reading them. I think it's just as good reading books that interest me as well, right? I have been reading him the illustrated version of Harry Potter so he had pictures. :)
  • I Love You Forever (my mum read that to me when I was little)
Guess How Much I Love You
    The Hungry Caterpillar
    Fox in Sox
    Cubs First Winter

We bought similar shelves (picture shelves) from ikea.
  • If you are a literature nerd like me, check out BabyLit books. We're talking counting and alphabet books of Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, The Secret Garden, etc. https://babylit.com/collections/books
  • DD gets to listen to whatever DS picks out. Usually Good Night Construction Site and any Pete the Cat books. I also insist on Introductory Calculus for Infants once in awhile...that's just the math teacher in me.
  • DD isn't super into books yet, but we enrolled her in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. She gets a free book every month until she's 5 years old. It's great!
