  • Still it makes me frustrated as my due date is approaching
  • Someone please help me out

  • I am a student and I'm not getting any maternity leave
There's so much on my mind.. all i want is to focus on my baby.. but i can't
  • I should have started a discussion panel rather than question..
  • Kinda confused by this post...as a student can't you take a leave of absence?
  • How can i delete this thread?
  • Posts can't be deleted.

You can't. You can edit them, but that's considered poor etiquette. Better off just letting it die of old age :)

  • Just 14 days leave.. would that be enough?
  • There's no need to be rude.
  • Each person is different in how much leave they take. If you end up with a c section I would say that might not be enough since you can't drive for about 2 wks. Have you tried talking to your admin office? When I was in school they had a process for a leave of absence that consisted of a longer leave. Hopefully something like that is available to you. Not sure of your full situation but maybe consider getting help from family or friends if you do need to return sooner.

I highly encourage you to use the search option to check out recent conversations. One of the trimester boards has one going already.
  • We also don't know what level of school are you in. That could help us out some in giving recommendations on leave or who you need to talk to or what kinds of questions to ask.

And I will piggy back on what PP (and myself) already mentioned. You do need to search around the board before you ask additional questions, because if there is already a lengthy discussion on the topic, you could find information without having to ask. If you repeat questions that have already been discussed at length, you are going to get the responses you deemed as "rude"...though I'm pretty sure the one or two you have seen so far are far from "rude"...so if you don't want that, just do a little looking before asking. The snark be plentiful here...

  • What kind of student are you? College, high school, technical school? Maybe that would help people answer your questions as there could be someone who has gone through a similar situation.
  • Studying textile design
We don't have any birth classes where i live..lamaze..nothing..no one to talk to or explain..
I really liked my previous doctor but i had to change my doctor too
As I'll be living with my mom till after delivery
  • Rude part was not about you... you've been quite kind and helpful
And about search thing..i still can't find it
  • Your mom would be a great resource to ask questions about birth.

  • I am going to piggy back on the others here ... No one has been rude; lurk and search to see if someone has already asked what you are trying to ask.   If you haven't found the answer to what you are looking for, feel free to ask.  However, we need more from you; complete sentences and questions will be helpful.

The ladies on this board are a wealth of knowledge, but again, you have to spell out what you are asking, we can't read your mind.

  • She says she doesn't remember much..as she was stay at home mom and had a lot of help..
  • Are you in the U.S. or international? I have some experience with having my first during a college term but I'm not sure what type of educational system you're in? How close are you to the end of your term at school?
  • If you make a complete list of your questions, number them and post them here as a single reply to this discussion. It will prevent additional posts from clogging up the board. We can reply to them by number. If you make individual replies (or posts) for each question it makes the board really messy and hard for us to give you the answers you need.

  • You could go to the library and find some books if it's general information you need.
  • The search bar is at the bottom if using your phone.

The boards are useful to learn about other lady's experiences but talk to your doctor about medical concerns to be sure. Remember each pregnancy is different.

Will your mom be able to help you after delivery? Any friends you can get support from? Check with the hospital for class information (if it's not too late) or even YouTube it.
