2 to 3

those of you who have 3 or more, was it harder going from 0-1, 1-2, or 2-3? I've heard mixed thoughts. This is our third, my son is 5 and daughter will be 3 when the new babe is here.

Re: 2 to 3

  • 0-1 was the hardest for us. My oldest was a very difficult baby. The rest have been easy compared to him. Transitioning to an additional kiddo was easy for us. We did have to get a new vehicle when we were expecting our 3rd, since we wouldn't have been able to fit 3 carseats in our car.

What car did you go with? That's something we are looking at right now!
  • My husband had his heart set on an Infiniti QX60 with all the bells and whistles so that's what he got. With 3, we folded the back seats down and could fit all 3 carseats in the middle row.

I can't help since I am in the same boat. We will be going from 2-3 and I've heard many say that's the hardest transition. Worries me a bit! DS will be almost 4 and DD will be almost 2. Just wanted to sympathize!

...oh and we just bought a new car hoping that we'd have more kids. Really happy with our Honda Pilot.
  • I've heard the Pilot is kind of supreme in regard to car seat use. Whatever you buy, make sure you have enough top tethers/head rests for when your Littles are FFing.

  • I'm going from 2 to 3 too. I've heard it's the easiest, so I'm just going to go with that. I mean I've already had two newborns, I've got some good tricks up my sleeve. I'm so excited to see the three of them together!

    2012: Baby #1
    2014: Baby #2
October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)
    March 2016 BFP#5, due November 2016.

    My Charts since 2009

  • For us the hardest was going from 0 to 1. We currently have three ages 10, 8, and 6. We are expecting babies 4 and 5. We know this will be a challenge due to the age gap.
  • Hi I have 3 girls ages 7.10, 5.3 and 3.8 and expecting number 4. I was most nervous about going from 2-3 because of the age of my 2nd she was 17.5 months but she just loved her baby so much and we involved her a lot so she wouldn't feel left out. My 4 year old at the time just wanted to do anything she could to help so I felt it was easier then just me by myself lol!! It will all work out even if it's a little bit of a challenge at first!
