Spent the weekend getting Easter outfits for everyone. Dh,dd1 and lo are going to look so good. Then there's me, all flabby with clothes that don't fit right. I look ridiculous. Plus size is too big, regular sizes too small. And my already big feet grew, so I'm having trouble finding good shoes in my new size.
I'd like to start a trend, yoga pants can now be considered dressy and I'm going to suggest to target, because they're so wonderful and I'm sure they'll understand, that they create a post maternity clothing line.
Re: Stupid clothes rant
Im in the process of downsizing my closet. What size do you need? I could take some pics of items I'm ready to part with.

I'm all about starting a clothing line for this transition! That and for baby boys. Again, target, I'm tired of going there and having 3 overflowing racks of girls clearance, great for my 2 year old, then seeing one rack for boys, barely filled and still has some girl stuff. The selection for boys is crap. Zulily has cute boy stuff but I can't wait 3 months for clothes only to find out it doesn't fit and I can't return it.
I'm going on Amazon today and ordering some, thanks!
Still not warm enough here to go on walks with them. And our house is small, no space for big equipment. Anyone try the maxiclimber?
And I know gym daycares were discussed already, still going back and forth about joining the Y.
I workout at home and eat healthy, it has taken until now- but I am down to my pre pregnancy size. I began working out- lifting weights and some HIIT 5-6x a week beginning in November. I focus on one muscle group a day typically, and I found a little instagram community for moms trying to get fit. I also began trying to have healthy fats, complex carbs, leafy greens and protein in each meal. My fav go to breakfast is a slice of whole grain toast with avocado, and a fried egg with sauteed spinach on it. I can't have any dairy per my son's dairy protein intolerance so that eliminates almost all un healthy food- so I have no choice but to eat clean, and have found that helped me more than anything. I didn't have a huge amount to lose- about 20-25 lbs but it wasn't easy. I try to workout before DS wakes up, or during his first nap because he also wants me to hold him. I follow a blogger named Lauren Gleisberg who has really effective workouts under 35 minutes. Also, get a fitness blender account. It's free and you can search for workouts based off of your time, equipment etc.
Good luck lady, you got this! Again, avoiding bad food (which I have to, it's not just willpower) is the single most effective thing, but once you begin to see results it becomes easier to maintain. Don't count calories or go crazy! And look at the workouts as "you" time and find some thing you enjoy! I hate cardio, but I love weights- so I stick to weights. Women's bodies are incredible- we are sustaining humans so go easy on yourself!
Thanks for the tips!
