Any expecting moms have auto-immune disorders and can't take their medication during pregnancy?  I have psoriatic arthritis looking for ways to cope during the next 8 months.

Re: Auto-Immune Disorders while pregnant

  • I have something auto immune going on (in the process of diagnosis) and my symptoms all went dormant last pregnancy! It was the best I've ever felt. Unfortunalty postnatal was rough, my symptoms came back with a vengeance. I would definitely have a chat with your doctor and see what your options are!

  • Im dealing with an already suppressed immune system (from chronic Lyme Disease) becoming even more suppressed because of the fetus. It just took me two weeks of being in bed to get over a cold. So not how I usually am! Most auto immune diseases are very connected with diet and exercise, so I would encourage you to eat REALLY clean and exercise even when you don't feel like it. Thats how I went off my Lyme meds to begin with.

I know it's hard! Best wishes for a happy, healthy 8 more months!
  • Thanks ladies! Good advice. So far it hasn't been too bad and I'm hoping that I just go into remission soon. Good luck to the both of you too!
