Rolling!

DS2 learned how to roll over (front to back) last night! He did it 3 or 4 times in a row, and looked so happy that he can get off his tummy now, haha. Anyone else's LO figure this out yet? (I skimmed the first few pages, but didn't see any other posts about rolling...please point me in the right direction if I missed them!)

We were so close last night!! My whole family was watching him, waiting and he never quiet made it past his side. Can't wait for him to do it.

  • Violet did it last week! She rolled like 4 times in a row and hasn't done it since, lol. Maybe our 'yays!' scared her

  • Yes my little one did it twice in one day i was sooooooo excited i scared her the first time she did it because of my reaction. But when her father got home and i wanted to show him she didnt do it. :-/ So we are waiting for her to do it again hopefully this time when her dad is home. But she did look happy that she could get off of her stomach during tummy time. I'm quite sure she use this to cheat tummy time in the future LOL
  • My LO has been doing this for a while and no longer stays on his tummy for more than a minute he just rolls over :)

  • My DD did it once at 7 weeks, but I don't think she meant to because she hasn't repeated it since and she's now 12 weeks. My DS rolled over at 12 weeks so I've been waiting this week to see if she would be the same, but she's perfectly content just hanging out on her belly

fine with me really, I'm in no rush to have 2 active kids! DS also walked at 9 mo so I don't mind it DD takes a little longer ;)
  • Jordyn started rolling last week. We were so excited and she was looking at us like "what? It's no big deal..." ;)
  • Just curious, when your LOs rolled over, were they crying? Riley still hates tummy time so much that she starts crying very quickly and sometimes I feel like she could get close to rolling over herself but she is crying so much I pick her up to give her a breather.
  • Yes! Cole does it when I put him on his tummy and stand behind or above him. He just goes until he can see my face again.  :)
  • Braiden has been rolling from back to belly, yes back to belly, for about 2 weeks now (he is 12.5 weeks now) once he gets to his belly he kind of panics but hasn't figured out how to get back onto his back yet.
  • Aria started rolling off her tummy at 11 weeks and did it for a few days. She has no desire to it anymore, so weird! This week (15 weeks) she has rolled several times from back to belly and seems quite happy about it so she can put her legs under her tush in order to sit up/crawl and she can now scoot backwards. She seems super frustrated by her inability to sit up or crawl. I think she's basically decided "screw rolling, I wanna crawl!!" LOL

  • Riley hasn't rolled at all but she scoots across her playmates so fast almost every time! I think once she learns her arms she will be mobile so fast cause I don't think she cares about rolling either!
