SO brag time

What has your SO done lately to make you happy?

H had to work 2 hours away today. This morning, I realized he was going to be driving near this town that has awesome loaves of bread and homemade ranch dressing that you dip it into (I know it sounds super weird), and in my morning sickness glory all I could think about was eating this bread. He picked up 2 loaves on his way home even though it was out of the way :)

  • He drove to get us frozen yogurt after he was already showered and in his PJs on Monday night because I said I was craving it :)

He created a cute new nickname for the LO, Munna :)

  • @alqizwik the prenatals I take are gummies so it is SOOO much easier! I found them at Walmart and they saved my life!

My SO.. where to start? He's seriously been the best from the beginning of time. Since I got pregnant, he's just been so understanding! I was scared to tell him because this is our 2nd (first born in July of 15) and we never planned for more. He has been my rock to promise that we're gonna be okay with a second
  • Seriously, my hubby deserves husband of the year award. He's been squirreling away money for years (paid off his motorcycle, got a few raises at work he neglected to tell me, etc) and just called yesterday, unbeknownst to me, and paid off both our cars. It was $12,000. So freaking awesome.
We discussed continuing to put the same amount he's been saving into savings and paying off debt in $5000 increments. Hoping to have my student loans gone next year.

  • Huh. @atcwagI'm glad you're happy, but I think if my husband didn't tell me what he was doing with our finances I'd be pretty apeshit furious.

  • @SRose109 - I totally get that point of view because I have a small part of me thinking the same. I am thankful because there are so many non-debt eliminating things I would have done with that money. It never would have been saved in such a lump sum - a weekend excursion here, a few more Christmas presents there...it adds up.  He and I were/are living just fine, so the money he was saving was never missed.

  • DH just put two brownies down in front of me alongside a glass of milk. I haven't smiled so big in a long time!
  • @atcwagThat is really amazing!
  • Our dog puked this morning 15 minutes before my alarm went off. She weighs 100 pounds so it's pretty gross. H jumped up and cleaned it for me. I'm the one that usually jumps to clean things but there was no way my stomach was handling that one. I feel like we're practicing for baby already with our elderly pup.
