What has your SO done lately to make you happy?

H had to work 2 hours away today. This morning, I realized he was going to be driving near this town that has awesome loaves of bread and homemade ranch dressing that you dip it into (I know it sounds super weird), and in my morning sickness glory all I could think about was eating this bread. He picked up 2 loaves on his way home even though it was out of the way

He surprised DD by showing up at her gymnastics class tonight. Her class begins while he's still commuting home so he never gets to see her and today he showed up without even telling me, she was thrilled! Its those little things that make me love him even more.

He is cleaning the kitchen right now. He cleans up almost every night. I never even have to ask him. He doesn't even seem to mind it!
God definitely knew what I would need in a husband.

My friend went into labor last night, water broke around 2am so I went up to the hospital. Normally he and I leave at the same time for work so since he drives right by he takes the kids to school. Except Tuesday's when he has to leave a hour and a half earlier so I normally take them. Of course today I was at the hospital so he had to get both kids up an hour earlier than normal, do all the morning stuff on his own and get them to my parents house (so my mom would get them to school) all by 5:30am.

We already have 2 children, so it's a little been there, done that. But before we started trying we talked about how this would likely be my last pregnancy, and I told him that I really wanted to make a big deal about it. Like the first pregnancy. He's been super sweet about it. And at dinner I was complaining that I was already sick of water. So when I sat down tonight after the girls went to bed he made me a delicious strawberry basil seltzer drink. It's just a little thing, but it's making me very happy.

We've been getting ready to get our house appraised and he has been super attentive to what needs to be done. He made this really cute collage with some of our wedding pictures he found while cleaning up.

He is usually up and out for the day before I'm up so every single day he makes sure to text me that he loves me. Ten years and he still says it every single day.

We are moving this weekend and I have not been feeling well (all day sickness) and he let me lay down and sleep all night after getting home from work. He took care of our 3 yo and gave her a bath and put her to bed and stayed up late to continue packing. He doesn't even complain about picking up the extra slack!

My DH has been talking about the possibility of me not going back to work (unless I want to) after #2 comes along! I'm so beyond excited! I went back when DD was 5 months old last time but I've always wanted to try the SAHM thing. I know it stresses him out a little bit to be the only one making an income but it makes me so happy that he is making it so easy for me to not go back to work this time. I guess the real question will be if I will want to or not when the time comes.

Last night after we both had pajamas on and were in bed, DH could tell I was grumpy and having trouble sleeping. He gave me a big hug and asked what was wrong, and I told him I felt like I was going to vomit from not eating anything when I took my vitamin supplements before bed, but that all of the food in our house sounded gross and nauseating to me. He immediately got out of bed, went to the grocery store, and came back with saltines, pretzels, ritz crackers, and ginger ale!

I love this thread. It makes me happy to see women appreciating the little things our husbands do. I understand women need support from other women when their husbands are being insensitive, but I still feel bad for their DH's when I see a thread dedicated to bashing them.

DH knows I hate my prenatals b/c they make me gag. So he is on my butt every night about taking them. He asked, "do you want me to dip them in Nutella" lol. He has also told me multiple times, if I have a craving, he doesn't mind taking me to get that food even if it's a ways out. He thinks it's important to satisfy my cravings for the baby's sake

I don't mind at all.

DH started researching books about twin pregnancy and raising twins last night and ordered some off of amazon. It's so sweet how excited he is now that we're past the loss milestone and (knock wood) things seem to be going well.

@alqizwik the prenatals I take are gummies so it is SOOO much easier! I found them at Walmart and they saved my life!

Seriously, my hubby deserves husband of the year award. He's been squirreling away money for years (paid off his motorcycle, got a few raises at work he neglected to tell me, etc) and just called yesterday, unbeknownst to me, and paid off both our cars. It was $12,000. So freaking awesome.
We discussed continuing to put the same amount he's been saving into savings and paying off debt in $5000 increments. Hoping to have my student loans gone next year.

@SRose109 - I totally get that point of view because I have a small part of me thinking the same. I am thankful because there are so many non-debt eliminating things I would have done with that money. It never would have been saved in such a lump sum - a weekend excursion here, a few more Christmas presents there...it adds up. He and I were/are living just fine, so the money he was saving was never missed.

Our dog puked this morning 15 minutes before my alarm went off. She weighs 100 pounds so it's pretty gross. H jumped up and cleaned it for me. I'm the one that usually jumps to clean things but there was no way my stomach was handling that one. I feel like we're practicing for baby already with our elderly pup.

He takes our 20 month old every weekend morning so I can sleep in. Since December! I come out to homemade breakfast, he puts him to bed every night. I have gotten fresh flowers in my vanity every week. He brings home various chocolate when I've had a rough day. He demands I get mani/pedis to get a break.He goes out immediately and gets whatever food I'm craving, no questions asked. I got scratch pecan/almond coffee cake for breakfast this weekend for pete's sake.

I was putting my warpaint on the other day and I hear him with our son, he goes, "where's our girl? where did she go?" so I yell, "I'm in here" and as he walks into my vanity him and our son both beam at me but then my husband pulls my shirt up and goes, "THERE SHE IS! THERE'S OUR GIRL!" - he is positive this baby is going to be a girl, obviously.

I about melted into teary goo.
