Huge and uncomfortable but generally okay. I noticed I'm starting to get really tired from even a slight increase in activity which is a bummer but I'm healthy so it is what it is. I'm on spring break this week. Even though I have to work all week, that is a huge rave. So close to being done in May.
Upcoming appointments/updates?
I have a routine appointment on Tuesday. I'll get my tdap that day too. I'm not looking forward to that.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why?
I usually clean the kitchen first. Only because I'll likely have to use it again that night and it'll get messed up. So I prefer it to be clean longer than 10 minutes, lol.
How many weeks: 29 (Monday) I think it is acorn squash???
How are you feeling? Rants/raves: feeling ok, contractions haven't been as bad today. Hopefully I can work a few more weeks, I stopped working at 29 weeks last pregnancy and was on bed rest 8 days later. Trying to get some gentle cleaning tasks done like dusting and folding laundry. I put my PISA pump into the tote I bought off eBay for it and I'm so glad I bought a bag for it!!!
upcoming appts? Have my 30 week on March 30.
GTKY: I always have to do the kitchen first, I can't function if it's a wreck, although with 4 people and it being the worlds smallest kitchen, it is usually dirty : (
How many weeks? How big is baby? 27 weeks! Rutabaga supposedly.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Had a bit of a rocky week. Dr highly recommended I go back on my medication for PPA that I had discontinued when I got pregnant again. It's helping me out of a spiral of panic and despair (thank god) but also making me pretty persistently nauseated and tired. Hoping I readjust quickly.
Upcoming appointments/updates? Nothing until April now
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Kitchen for sure. Can't function with a dirty kitchen. And it tends to get smelly if it's not clean
How many weeks? How big is baby? 27 weeks tomorrow / Rutabaga
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Feeling BH contractions, mostly if I stand too long or walk too long. Otherwise, not so bad, just feeling huge and moving in bed or getting out of bed is becoming more difficult. Rant: I don't want to work tomorrow but only 10 weeks left! Raves: Umm...baby is doing great!
Upcoming appointments/updates? Had a follow up u/s on Friday to look at baby's kidneys. They were still dilated a little but when the nurse went to talk to the doctor about it to come look, she came back alone and I was free to go so I guess the doctor wasn't too concerned (this is a doctor at the place were I did the u/s, not my OB). If my OB is concerned, she'll call. Also, it's official, this baby is huge! He's about 2 lbs 9 oz. His head and stomach are measuring a couple weeks ahead and are in the 70th percentile. His arms and legs are measuring on track though. But this means I have to have a growth u/s every 4-6 weeks from here on out. The bright side is that I'll get to see him more! He was really cute during the u/s and was jigging around and the u/s tech felt him kicking too.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Dusting the living room and dining room and picking up Daisy's toys. The place looks so much cleaner after that. I mean, I usually keep it pretty clean, but just straightening up makes it feel like I already did so much.
Me - 33, DH - 33 Married - May 2014 DH - Low Count/Motility/Morph - Varicocele vein x 2 - surgery (8/11) - success! BFP - 10/10/15, EDD - 6/20/16 - It's a BOY! Baby #1 - 6/29/16 - Lucas Christopher, 10 lbs 3 oz, 22.25 inches Baby #2 - TTC May 2017 BFP - 9/10/17, EDD - 5/26/18 - It's a GIRL! - RCS May 22nd
How many weeks? How big is baby? 29 weeks today, acorn squash. Not sure I really believe that since an eggplant is usually much larger than an acorn squash.... Thank you, culinary school and 10 years of working in kitchens for ruining this for me lol
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Rants: aches and pains, and getting tired much much faster. Raves: tomorrow is supposed to be my last day of coaching, but we will see about that....
Upcoming appointments/updates? Regular check up on 3/29, at 30 weeks.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Pahahahahahah!!!!! I don't clean much..... Lol. Oops. But if I do, it's the bedrooms because I'd rather do laundry and vacuum than scrub counters or the floor.
Actually I clean out the fridge/freezer every month. I take that beast apart and actually scrub out the drawers and stuff. And I organize the food because I need easy access to what we have lol.
How many weeks? How big is baby? 29 weeks tomorrow, acorn squash
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? HUNGRY. FRUSTRATED. It is so hard to completely change your menu. I am SICK of salad. And posts about root beer floats are hard to see when that consists of all the carbs you can have in one day. Raves: H has stuck to eating just like me so I'm not alone. It makes me cry to think about it. He's been so compassionate this whole pregnancy.
Upcoming appointments/updates? GD class Wednesday morning, I'll get my glucometer and learn about how life is going to be for the next 11 weeks or so.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? I usually pick up, since I'm a piler, then I can actually clean. I can't dust, so I usually do the bathrooms since H hates that. We compromise.
How many weeks? How big is baby? 26 weeks!! Butternut squash
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Feeling pretty good. Getting quite a few BH. Starting to have a hard time bending over.
Upcoming appointments/updates? GD test tomorrow and ultrasound on Tuesday. I was measuring 4 weeks ahead at my last appt. so they want to check and see why.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Always the kitchen. I can't stand a dirty kitchen.
@shannonrnbsn that's really awesome that your husband is making diet changes along with you. I'm sure that doesn't make it much easier, but I bet it helps a bit to have such a supportive partner.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Uncomfortable and sore a lot and exhausted from not sleeping. Rant-It's Monday and I really don't want to be at work. Rave- Had my baby shower this weekend and got lots of great stuff and organized the nursery some. Just need to paint and get some more stuff we didn't get on our registry and we should be set.
Upcoming appointments/updates? Have my regular midwife appointment on Wednesday.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Likewise, the kitchen. Just hard to function with a dirty kitchen.
Oh, I forgot my big rant from the weekend......at the end of my baby shower H and I were talking with a couple people and H let the baby's name slip!!! I was so upset and started crying cause we were keeping it a secret til he was born. Thankfully it was just 3 people, and 1 of them didn't catch the full name and the other says she didn't catch it at all.
How many weeks? How big is baby? 29 weeks today and the size of an acorn squash or a Barbie convertible depending on which app you ask.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Feeling mostly good but freaking out a little about how much Zyrtec I'm having to take to control the hives my progesterone shots are causing. I know they say it is safe but there have been cases where medicines were deemed safe and caused major birth defects so there is that. My rave is that I had my second anatomy scan last week to monitor the baby's size and she was right at three pounds. The doctor told me that when I saw her 8 weeks ago, I was on track to birth a toddler but now I am just having a regular baby
Upcoming appointments/updates? None this week.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? The kitchen for most of the same reasons listed above. Also we have a very close family friend from Jamaica and she insists that the angels can't visit your house if you have dirty dishes in the sink so there's that too.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Excited to be in the third tri! I know it's not as easy as the second but we're getting closer to the end.
Upcoming appointments/updates? Had a regular checkup Friday that went well and my glucose test - still waiting on those results but assuming that goes well, just happy it means no more blood draws. Also now officially on the every other week appointment schedule until 36 when I'll go weekly.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? The kitchen because it usually needs it the most.
How many weeks? How big is baby? 28 weeks, eggplant
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Not bad. I'm starting to have more back pain. I remember that from DS but not this early. Also LOTS of BH this time.
Upcoming appointments/updates? I passed the 3 hr glucose with flying colors just like before thankfully. My next appt isn't intil the 29th
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? I usually keep things pretty picked up but the kitchen is a the big one for me. It has to be cleaned first
@sdLindenberg YES! On the eggplant being bigger than an
acorn squash. This growth chart is a big load of shit
How many weeks? How big is baby? 29 weeks, acorn squash (baby regressed in size again this week. Garbage)
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Rant - My H definitely has to help me get my boots on and off now or I end up wheezing. Good thing the snow is melting and I can get away with flip flops most days. I'm starting to wear fuzzy slippers in public and not give a damn. Rave - I posted this in the regular monday check-in, but I just found out my SIL is pregnant (still very early on, but they have been trying the same amount of time as us - about 3 years - so I'm THRILLED)
Upcoming appointments/updates? Just had an appt last Tuesday. Baby was measuring about 3 lb 2 oz. He was about 2 weeks ahead on most of the measurements and in the 90th percentile. I was relieved when the doc said he'd probably be about 8.5 lbs when he comes out since I was terrified it was going to be much bigger (H was a big baby). But as of now, he's turned to face the right direction, so just gotta keep him that way for a few more weeks - doc said once 30 weeks rolls around, the babies generally stay where they are direction-wise.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? Kitchen for sure. Its basically the center of our house and where we keep our main trash can. If i'm going in and out of the kitchen cleaning other rooms and the kitchen is dirty, it totally zaps my motivation.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves? Feeling pretty good. I'm trying to get more exercise in to build up my stamina for labor and birth, but on Saturday I went out for a walk and had to call H to come pick me up because my abdominal muscles started seizing up after a mile or so. I think I was just going too fast, trying to exercise like I was last fall when I haven't been doing that much all winter. Hopefully I can build my stamina back up.
Upcoming appointments/updates? Had the one hour glucose test this morning, man that drink is gross! I didn't have GD with DS, but the midwives were super adamant that I take it again this time because DS was so huge (10.5 lbs). Hopefully I pass again! I did certain things I heard will make a false positive less likely, had a protein breakfast, avoided sugar the day before, walked around a bit during the 1 hour waiting period, etc.
GTKY: When you set out to clean house, which room do you tackle first and why? If I'm cleaning because people are coming over I start with the entry way and work my way into the living room. I figure the first place they see should be the cleanest. If I'm cleaning for my own peace of mind I usually do the kitchen or the bathroom first.
@shannonrnbsn that's really awesome that your husband is making diet changes along with you. I'm sure that doesn't make it much easier, but I bet it helps a bit to have such a supportive partner.
It makes a WORLD of a difference. He's our meal planner, since he was a restaurant manager for 7 years. It takes a lot of the pressure off. That doesn't mean that he still doesn't slip a little and say, "let's go to panera" or "how about some chick-fil-a?" But I think it's because he just honestly forgets...
Re: ***Sunday/Monday Ticker Change***
29, tomorrow! Acorn squash. Whatever that is.
How are you feeling? Rants/Raves?

@chelseay416 every week H asks what the baby's size is and the last few weeks he's been like, "is he shrinking!?" hahaha
