I am exactly 6 weeks and I already feel gigantic. I know that it is just bloating but I do not remember this symptom with my DD. Does anyone else feel this way? I feel like it's going to be a very long nine months
I think my night time belly at 7 weeks gives my 18 week belly the first time a run for it's money. It's less in the mornings, but still there for sure!
I am 17 weeks and my pants from weeks 6-8 were tighter then than they are now! I remember walking around in an airport with my pants unzipped and unbuttoned with a shirt covering and I was 6 weeks along! I had no idea bloat could be SO bad.
It should subside but it was something fierce there for awhile. I feel your pain!
I'm actually quite concerned with how big I'm looking at not even 6 weeks. It's just bloat but it's shocking. I look about 5 months p

Glad I am not the only one. This morning I went to get dressed for work and put on maternity pants so I could be comfortable. They are only pants with small elastic panels on the sides but maternity non the less. I fee so huge!
I am also feeling this way! I didn't wear maternity clothes until 27 weeks last pregnancy. This time at 6 weeks I want to bust them out. I'm concerned for my waist line.
Glad its not just me. The bloat is real but it's so big that it doesn't look like bloat - it looks like a little baby bump. I know most woman show early with their second but this is next level lol. Currently walking around with unbuttoned and unzipped jeans with a shirt covering it because there is no way these are buttoning. I guess it's time to go in the attic and bring down the maternity clothes <sigh>.
I am also feeling huge. This is my first and I didn't expect to be bloated so much so early! Luckily I work from home this week so I can wear yoga pants. But next week I have to go into the office. Haven't even tried on my jeans to see if they fit yet.
@TrulyBlessed22My bloat is doing the exact same thing! I even got a lovely lecture from my mother about how I need to lose weight and tone my abs bc it looked like I was 5 months when I was 5 weeks.
My bloat has already started to go down a bit. This happened with my others. It'd come and go. For the first trimester with my second, on average I'd need maternity pants 3-4 days a week then I was in them full time by 12w. With my first I was so bloated until 8 weeks that I couldn't button my jeans but then it reduced and I was able to wear my non-pregnant pants until I was around 24 weeks because I carried high.

@srose109 it's serious and I know it's bloat but still crazy lol. Even DH is surprised. Last time I had a visible baby bump at 12 weeks which wasn't bloat so I wouldnt be surprised if I got one again this time pretty early especially since it's my second. But at 6 weeks I know it's bloat...doesn't help that I'm petite.
I thought this was just me too!!! I am 6 weeks with second child and I look and the mirror and go "Really?!?! am I already showing it can't be possible please say no" I hope it is just the bloating as well and I don't show till after the 1st trimester especially since we are waiting to tell family/friends in May at my daughters 2nd birthday party. We are going to have her wear a shirt that says I have a secret (on the front) and I am going to be a Big Sister (on the back). Its so hard not to say anything to our parents but I am hoping I wont show any till around that time frame. But I heard with your second you show faster..... ekk =/
banfrog: Yoga pants have been my best friends but they are even too tight. I told DH that in about two weeks I'm going to need some maternity pants. I keep trying to wear my jeans but have to take them off ten minutes later because they hurt my belly.
This morning I got dressed for work and my outfit fits (because it's stretchy material) but I actually look prego. I thought maybe I'm imagining this because I'm only 6w, 4d so I asked DH and he admitted I do look prego. I actually don't mind this as for the most part I actually loved my prego body last time but I'm just not ready to share with anyone and so this is making it a bit tough. DH suggested I start wearing baggier clothes but I really don't own any plus Spring is here so sweaters will be way too hot <sigh>
Happy Easter, I think the Easter bunny brought me bloat. I feel so gross! I'm with my family today and hate all the pictures they've taken. Not sure if anyone else is recovered or recovering from an eating disorder, but I am and this is making it super tough. Sorry I'm being Whiney, DH just tells me I need to "be nice to myself" (a tactic for when I put myself down) but he doesn't get how bad this feels. I don't think it'd bother me so much if it were a belly and not bloat
I look like I'm several months pregnant. I'm about to shamelessly bust out the maternity clothes just to be comfy. The tight clothes make the m/s worse.
ANZ116. I'm not in the same boat, but I can imagine it must be hard to be recovering from an eating disorder and be going through the changes of pregnancy.
I know it's totally different, but I'm in my own recovery (sobriety) and I had a moment today where I was anxiously reading up on pain meds during labor because I can't have anything mind-altering. So in a way, I feel you! It's hard to deal with a recovery and pregnancy at the same time. I like your husband's advice to be kind to yourself.

I'm 8 weeks 3 days today. I was doing fine wearing my normal clothes until Thursday (7 weeks 6 days) when my belly seemed to pop out overnight! I had to bust out the maternity pants because nothing else fit! I know it's not baby, but my goodness! My stomach is big and round and firm from right under my rib cage to my pelvis. I'm a plus sized girl anyway but I actually look about 5 months! I'm wondering if it's possibly twins even though my ultrasound a couple weeks showed only one. Could one hide behind the other?
This is my first pregnancy after my DD and I feel the same way! So big but I know it's bloating but it's seriously uncomfortable to feel this big already!
I'm the same way @Katemr1146. Stomach looks totally normal in the morning but by late afternoon, like woah!! My stomach just feels so sensitive to anything pushing on it. Im just seriously uncomfortable.
Only 8w+6 and I've busted out a pair of maternity pants. Sooooooo comfortable. My Dr was telling me that it's just bloat so far, likely residual from all the hormones for IVF, but it's unreal. I gave up most of my jeans during treatment because the bloat started then. I miss my jeans. I had just gotten some of them to the perfect worn in stage.
I'm feeling the chub today. I thought a woman at work was gaining weight a few months ago (not that I'm policing it or care; I just noticed), and then one day she came in and had a super defined bump. I guess that's what people mean when they say they've popped. I'm in the "is she gaining weight phase?" for sure. The scale doesn't say anything different, though, so I guess it's just bloat.

This is my first. I thought I knew a little something about bloating, but this is ridiculous and uncomfortable! And it doesn't go away. Stretchy pants for me...or no pants
I decided last night that I just can't do the jeans anymore. I wore my favorite stretchy pair and literally unbuttoned and unzipped as soon as I got in the car to go home. Thankfully, my work pants have a lot of stretch/give and I have a solid maxi skirt collection to get me through the summer. The bloat is out of control.
Does any of you ladies know about how long this awkwardly bloated stage generally lasts? I did not have this symptom with my 1st or 2nd pregnancy. Right now, I am rockin' a full blown blump and I look/feel ridiculous. My yoga pants are soo tight!
I can't understand how I haven't put any weight on but nothing fits. Someone at work said to me yday 'your belly has got huge!' At 7 weeks 3 days I'm so not ready to be huge! Every1 says you show much faster with 2nd babies...
Coworkers thought I looked like five months at 5 wks, that's how bloated baby made me. At week 6 the bloat is mostly gone but I kind of miss the 'bump'
Yep! Glad I'm not the only one. I've been surviving in yoga pants. I can't even wear my favorite jeans bc they're so uncomfortable.
