Gift/Name Issue

Weeks and weeks ago, my neighbor/mother's friend asked what we planned on naming our LO. I told her we're THINKING Logan Jeremiah, but it's definitely not set in stone because DH (which is a Jr.) wants a third.. This may have been brought up in January. It's never been talked about with her since.
Yesterday, at my baby shower, I received a huge handmade burlap sack door sign (5+ hours spent, $75+ easy) with the name LOGAN JEREMIAH painted beautifully on it from her!!!! It is beautiful! So much time, money, and effort spent on it.
Problem is that we're now about 99% decided to have a 3rd... I don't want to hurt her feelings or have her effort and money wasted... But I also don't want to change LOs name just to keep her happy... This was more of a vent/rant than a question, and I'm sorry. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd say it's a bummer that she'll be disappointed, but changing the name that he will live with forever for a door sign would be a poor choice.

This is the reason I never put a name on baby gifts before the baby is born... As the gift giver, she should have double checked the name.

Yeah it was really up to her to check. I would continue on without a care, and make your decision regardless of the sign. Then, when the time comes, if you end up with a different name call the gift-giver and tell her "I am still so in love with your gift, and I would hate to not be able to use it... Can I commission you for the time it would take you to paint a new name?"

Chances are, she will be flattered that you still love her gift and will not accept you paying her to change it... But I would be ready to pay for her time just in case. Either that, or try to treat her to a nice dinner or something for the trouble.

Yeah, this is a reason we won't discuss names. I want to maintain my right to change it up till the last minute. Sounds like her heart was in the right place, but she really should have confirmed.
