Our week started off with everyone sick, but we're mostly recovered except for some lingering congestion.
FIL was in town for the worst of lo's sickness and was a huge help! Bummer that he spent so much of his trip inside with a whiny baby, though.

Qotw: currently dh is scheduled to work Easter weekend, boo :( Am hoping that will change, otherwise me and LO will be on our own to do whatever is going on at church. This year will probably just do a little basket for pics (LO will only be 10 months). I love Easter and can't wait for baskets, egg decorations and hunts.

  • @mindaa nooo that sucks that dh is working :(

Oh, last Thursday I woke up with a terrible neck/shoulder ache, the kind that means your muscles are f*ed up and cannot turn your head (don't know the english term). It almost went away yesterday only to return this morning again. Apparently I don't sleep in a very good position.
I hope it passes soon cause it's so tough taking care of a baby when half your body is immobilised. I hope none of you get it.

Easter is an opportunity for the three of us to just stay home and relax. We usually go to the in-laws for a nice family dinner but we decided not to this year.

I enjoy Easter decorations as well but as a first time mum with a 5mo I don't seem to find the spirit D: Maybe next year when my boy will understand more.
  • hi ladies, how are you all?
our week has been ok but i'm feeling exhausted, not sure if it's lack of sleep catching up on me, or something else. Am taking it easy and will go see my doctor is things don't improve, because I have a history of thyroid and low iron problems.

For Easter I love doing an egg hunt for my girls, but am trying to be a bit more planet friendly this year. Have made their bags for the hunt from fairtrade and recycled materials, and have found some fairtrade chocolate eggs.

This year MIL's birthday is the same day as Easter Sunday. She passed away last year so we're having a family lunch with DH's aunt.
