Irish Twins

Hello! just wanted to see if anyone was in the same boat as me and having "Irish Twins"? my DS was born November 2015 and now baby #2 will be due November 2016! We are now over the initial shock of having them so close and are now pretty dang excited. (I may or may not be a lil crazy for saying that) My brother and I were 8 years apart so I always said I wanted my kids close in age since it was so hard for us to be close with such the age gap. Let's just say I'm all too familiar with all the pregnancy stuff since I literally JUST went through it. Hope to support all you ladies and get to know you all!

Im not technically in the same boat, but i dod have a son july 2015 and this one is due in november. I do however have the same sjovk value going on since we didnt expect to have these two so close together. Congrats.

I have Irish twins (now 10&11). Both boys. Inseparable since they met. One has autism and they have developed their own way to communicate. They are one grade apart however that's the only time they are away from each other. It's not easy the first few years but the friendship that had developed was definitely worth it.

I kind of want another boy just for that reason but a girl would be awesome as well (for my own personal selfishness lol)

Our sons are 11 months apart to the day. Because of where their birthdays fall, they'll be in the same grade when they eventually go to school.

I had a baby Dec 2015 and found out I was pregnant and due in Nov. So 11 months apart! I'm still pretty shocked!

Not Irish twins but pretty close! Have a Sept baby and due in November so about 14 months apart. One good thing I can think of is that I'm totally in the baby zone- not sleeping, he's attached to the boob, etc.. So might as well just continue on lol!

Maybe it means something different to different people, but I thought "Irish twins" meant 2 different babies born in the same year - like January 2016 & November 2016 - not just 2 kids les than 12 months apart.

* 2 kids less than 12 months apart is still crazy & exciting!! I just thought "Irish twins" were born the same calendar year.

@sugar9277 they're both considered Irish twins. Whether born within 12 months, or the same calendar year, they're Irish twins.
