Breastfeeding supply dip after surgery

Hi everyone,
My LO is just about 10 weeks. As the result of badly herniated disc, I needed back surgery this week. The Anaesthesiologist, Surgeon, and Pediatrician all have different views on whether breastfeeding is safe on the meds, or whether to pump and dump. I am pumping and dumping, just based on the vagueness. I have been pumping every couple of hours, but my supply has dipped, I'm assuming due anaesthesia and other meds. Any recommendations as to how I can work my supply back up? I'm not sure when I will be able to nurse her at this point, it will at least be a few more days. Until then, she is getting pumped milk from the freezer.

Thanks!

Drink lots of water, do skin to skin, and really just keep pumping. Pump after you're empty to signal your body to make more. Add a couple extra pumping sessions. But also remember there's no correlation between how much you pump and how much your baby gets from nursing. Good luck with your recovery.
