I don't know any website offhand but I do know that I totally stocked my freezer and it was the BEST thing I've ever done for myself.
I did a lot of casserole-type things (a good mexican rice chicken one, I'll look for the recipe), meatloaf, I browned up italian turkey sausage and froze it mixed in with a jar of spaghetti sauce, so all DH would have to do is make the pasta. Oh and lasagne and chili.
I did three days of cooking with my mom, we put everything in flat big zip locks... it really was a life saver for us as I had a Csection, and I think the fact that I was well-prepared food-wise totally helped my recovery!
I can't find the recipe but i remember it I think...
Mix:
2 cooked shredded chicken breasts (cooking in the crockpot with a little salsa is the best way, or you can boil it)
2 Cups cooked rice (I used brown)
1 small can tomato sauce
1 packet taco seasoning (I used reduced sodium, and not the whole thing)
1 can diced green chiles
At this point- put into bag and freeze.
When you're ready to eat it, place it in a casserole pan. Top with refried beans (you just kind of dot them on there in piles) then top with cheese. Bake uncovered 45 minutes at 350.
Delish! Buy your cheese pregrated and it's a snap for any bleary eyed new mommy! And it makes a ton for leftovers.
Get the freezer bags there in bulk. They sell a few premade meals and you can just freeze them, including soups. Cut the portions in half they tend to be too much for two people in my opinion. This includes their premade chicken, cut into pieces and freeze. Purchase boxed items such as mashed potatoes, freeze corn, greens beans, etc. Bag of chicken strips which you can just add to salads, soups, tacos..
You can always ask DH to pick up fresh things on his way home from work. At least you'll have the main entree.
Don't worry to much about it. You can always order out.
We splurged and had a personal chef make us some meals (happened to be someone on our street so we got a little deal), and I am SO glad we did! It was awesome to have healthy, delicious, fresh meals made for us a few times a week. There are also those places where you can go and assemble it now and freeze it, or buy it later pre-assembled (like Full Plate). We also got some meals from costco which was helpful. If you can, try to have at least 2-3 weeks of meals read to go, so that you don't have to do any real cooking at the beginning.
