I had chocolate fudge pop tarts for breakfast. I'm now enjoying thin mints instead of laundry and cleaning while my son happily chats to me and bounces himself.
I went and got passport pictures done for me and DD and feel like that was a huge accomplishment. Now I'm sitting around watching TV while she naps on her belly in her crib. No way am I waking her... It's be a nice 2 hours so far. I'll let her go another hour then wake her when we go out to dinner. Because I don't feel like cooking dinner... I'm being extra lazy today!
I know it's no longer Friday, but I'm having "wtf!" feelings toward DH. I returned to work and he started paternity leave on Thursday.
I come home both days to find DD smiling and delighted. The house is SO clean. He's done 4 loads of laundry and all of the dishes. He's finished a book. DD napped in her crib yesterday. Oh, and of course DD is now rolling over....but only for him. I've seen the video, but she just chews her arm and whimpers for the boob when I do tummy time with her.
We work in the same school, and he's already better at that. He just got promoted to a position in our central office.
Clearly, my husband is a wonderful and talented person who always does what's best for the family. But a clean house on your first day home with the baby? Come on!

The baby does not think of your DH as a gallon of milk to drink. He might be more calm with him

Lol! The power of the boob is tricky. It is magical when you need it, but when it's all they want, it makes getting anything else done tricky. My LO has these entire adorable conversations with my husband and the minute I walk into the room she sticks out her tongue in pursuit of boob.

This! I usually give DD to DH if I want her to poop lol
My ds has developed an affinity to tween programming on Nickelodeon (Henry danger, the thundermans & Ricky,Nicky, dicky & dawn) and for the first time ever sits & watches & stops being the active 5-yr-old he generally is. It may be contributing to the snarky attitude but it's nice to have a break the noise!!
Re: FFFC 3/18
Eff you hormones!
I like when I get to escape from social events to nurse DS, plus sometimes it includes a mini-nap.

Your husband sounds like a real go getter!
