I have been taking Claritin daily since the beginning and it makes all the difference!

Not to freak you out, but...that's how my flu symptoms started. I thought it was allergies for two days before the chills and fever and (extra) vomiting and body aches kicked in. Tested positive for flu A. Just FYI to be vigilant.
I really, really hope that isn't the case for you! But drink lots of water and take care of yourself either way.
How about sudafed. I usually take the pain and pressure. Mainly head pressure
Sudafed is okay to take in the second trimester...make sure you are taking pseudoephedrine as opposed to phenylephrine (which hides in just about every cough and cold OTC drug). You may have to go to the pharmacist as pseuedoephredrine is often kept behind the counter now.
Claritin, Zyrtec, and regular Sudafed (for a couple days) as well as regular Mucinex are all ok. I take a Claritin almost every day when it gets warmer.
