Tastes and Smells

I just ate a Samoa GSC and it tasted so different than when I ate one two days ago! Normally it's just a sweet mix with a prominent coconut note, but today I could clearly taste the base cookie, the coconut, the chocolate, and the caramel. It was awesome. Then I swallowed it and got nauseated.

Oh well.

My perfume (that I've worn for 10 years, probably) smells like lysol to me now. Which is funny, because it smelled just fine when I was pregnant with my daughter!

I ate like 4 helpings of pasta salad Saturday and by Monday, just looking at it or thinking about makes me want to vomit. Even as I type this I feel my stomach churning. I don't get it lol

I knew I was pregnant yesterday (at 7 DPO) because I cut a cantaloupe and couldn't feed it to my kids because it smelled so off (H came home and said it was perfectly fine), and then I went grocery shopping and both stores I went in smelled terrible! I came home and took a pregnancy test.

1 of my dogs!! Not this PG but my last. we have 2 and one just smelled so bad to me. The other still had her sweet puppy scent. H assured me he smelled as nice as normal and baths didn't help so I believed him. I've already started smelling him wondering if it will happen again!

It's strawberry season here in Florida... They smelled so good in the grocery store but when I try to eat them they taste like when you drink orange juice after you brush your teeth. H says they taste really good to him

I can't use mouthwash anymore. It tastes really bitter...almost like what I would think household cleaner tastes like. I can also smell alcohol from a mile away.

EVERYTHING tastes soooo much more flavorful to me so far and smells are much more intense and easier to pick up. No aversions yet thank goodness, maybe I'll get lucky!

I could swear my husband opened up cans of tuna in the kitchen and I was yelling, "HOW COULD YOU?!"

Turns out he was grinding coffee beans. I mean, this mistaken identity has happened 4 times now. I could swear it's tuna, but no. It's always coffee beans.

On the topic of Samoas (which are my favorite thing ever), I had such a hankering for them that I ordered a shiteload of cookies online. Now the thought of eating them nauseates me.

I had to unplug my febreeze scent diffuser because it smells way too strong now.
Also I lost my love for anything sweet except for fruit.

I'm sitting here at work panicking that I stink like sweat but I know deep down that I actually don't. I actually changed my sweater because of this (luckily I had another one here).

I'm noticing that things just smell stronger to me. My H was chewing gum in the car and I had to crack a window. And someone at work microwaved clam chowder this week and I almost gagged.

We're having a potluck at work and I can smell everyone heating their food from down the hall. Most of it smells horrible to me. I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through the lunch with all of those scents floating around!

Every smell is very strong. I work in a jail, which is not the most pleasant smelling places in the world...it's been rough. LOTS of smells in a jail.

Everything tastes different to me! Food that I loved before, tastes so nasty and stuff I did not care for, I love! The smells are the worst. I am a teacher and picking my students up from the cafeteria is the worst part!
