33.5weeks and admitted

hi ladies.
what I thought were my first serious braxton hicks were actual contractions early this morning. It wasn't helping that I had diarreah at the same time! So after 2.5hrs of contractions I came to the hospital as my doctor said.
After all sorts of tests doc said it'd be best to be admitted and see whether the contractions go away. In the meantime I've been hooked upto an IV for hydration, magnesium and a steroid shot to make sure baby's brain and lungs are developed if she decided to come at 34weeks this weekend!

So far the contractions have spaced out and gotten milder but they're still here. I suspected she'd be early but boy is this early!

Thanks everyone! It was a false alarm and I just got back home after a day and a half at the hospital.

I wasn't dialated when I got there so I was being observed. The magnesium sulfate helped to space out the contractions. I couldn't even feel them anymore with the meds! Really strong stuff.
By late morning the contractions stopped so I was able to come home after a second steroid shot.
It wasn't easy but I'm happy she's fine.

Thanks for all the support! Just realized I should write on the labor watch post from next time!
