Exhausted, again?

Has anyone else gone through this? I was pretty tired my first trimester, then got a bounce of energy from weeks 12-17. But now all of a sudden I'm back to feeling completely exhausted! Maybe it's the time change, but I haven't done anything out of the ordinary this week and I can't keep my eyes open after 9 and sleeping until 8am. I feel ridiculous!

Re: Exhausted, again?

  • I haven't gotten a break from the exhaustion yet!
I am usually in bed and sleeping by 9:30. At work once 2pm hits I start to crash!! I just want my energy back!

  • I've been super tired too. I had a small burst of energy and worked out twice this week which has left me doing even less than I was before!
  • YES. I also felt good from weeks 12-17, and now I am having some nausea and tiredness again. Whhhyyyyyyyy?!?!

  • I'm in that still haven't gotten it back camp. I'm 17w2d, and I've been exhausted pretty solid since week 6 or so. I sometimes have to have a nap at my desk on my lunch so I can make it through the afternoon.
  • Yes! I took two naps today and already feel so tired.

  • My problem is that I'm a lot more restless overnight so I'm not as well rested when I wake up.  First tri I was just exhausted from growing the baby and I'd nap just about every day when DS was down.  Now I go to bed and wake up to pee at least once then wake up like I just took a nap.
  • I have the restless overnight problem too. I can't fall asleep and then when I do, I have crazy dreams that wake me up in the middle of the night and then I don't go back to sleep. Then I'm tired all day.
  • We still have a baby that wakes up in the middle of the night so I never sleep through. Add to that all the peeing I do and I definitely have to take naps when I can.

This is what my issue is too, plus with the added time change I have been a struggle this week! Hoping to bounce back again soon!

  • I'm exhausted too. Between peeing three times a night, a toddler that crawls into our bed every night (yes, I know), and weird dreams, I really feel like I never sleep well. I'm going to NYC for a work trip in two weeks and I am so looking forward to a nice quiet hotel room with a giant bed just for me. I will probably pass out at 7pm.

  • I'm 18w1d and have been pretty tired the whole time. Over the past few days, my bigger issue is feeling like I spend half my day going pee!
  • I'm 16w5d and I have noticed that exhaustion creeping back up. I was feeling great for a few weeks there, but now I catch myself falling asleep here and there. Over the weekend I took naps both days, and in the evenings I''ve been dozing off in front of the TV before we even have dinner. I think this time it might be more of a physical thing, related to my growing size. Just carrying around the bigger belly, and the back pain that comes with it seem to tire me out.
  • I'm 18 weeks and I feel tired all the time.  Getting up in the morning and getting to work is getting tougher each day...like I don't want to leave my bed!  Plus it is tough to work, cook, and still get a moment o breathe in ther!
  • I am 19w4d today and this week has been really rough.  I feel completely run down.  I am hoping it is just the time change!  Also, I have been feeling like I get out of breath pretty easy these days and that sometimes I feel like I cant get as deep of breaths...anyone else feeling this?
  • pregnancy is exhausting!
  • I'm 17 weeks and noticed I've felt more tired again lately. I feel great for the most part, just want to nap everyday around 3 or 4 pm.

  • @cepricco ... yes! I sometimes feel like there us something onyou chest and I can't breathe as well. My husband asked my a few nights ago what was wrong while I was trying to take deep breaths, and I had to explain baby didn't want me to breathe lol. I think it depends where baby is. I remember that happening a lot in my last pregnancy too, but I think it started earlier this time (18 weeks or so) unfortunately it will get worse as the months go on
  • Amen. I'm 18 weeks today. yesterday, I started eating everything in sight. For the last 3 days, I'm so tired I almost feel sick. I'm thinking its a growth spurt and baby is needing extra food and rest. He's getting it!
  • I'm also losing my appetite, which was never the case with DS. I have to be half dead to not eat. I haven't had dinner in a few nights and just had to down a green smoothie to get some vitamins into me for this kid...and I am not a green smoothie person.

  • @ebilbao . I've spent most of my pregnancy having a hard time eating, and not from being sick. Literally nothing sounds good. But there are days recently that I eat non stop. At 21 weeks I've only gained 7lb. I'm glad, and the doc isn't worried about my weight, I just try to make sure I eat something healthy at least once a day and lots of water
  • Thank god! I was starting to think there was something wrong with me. Once the  morning sickness(all day) wore off at week 14, I felt really good, until last week. Now I am just barely functioning through the days. I was hoping it was the time change last week, but doesn't seem to be getting better. I look forward to Saturday mornings, so I can sleep till 7. How sad is that?
  • I still have to nap 1-2 hours and I'm out by 9. It's insane!
  • I have the restless overnight problem too. I can't fall asleep and then when I do, I have crazy dreams that wake me up in the middle of the night and then I don't go back to sleep. Then I'm tired all day.
The dreams! I have the most vivid and crazy dreams and they always wake me up around 3:30 am and I feel like they were real. I had this with my last pregnancy, but still so frustrating.
