Winning today because the baby is super active after no movement at all yesterday (had gone to L&D to be monitored last night). Woke up a little more rested than normal. Looking forward to tomorrow when I will have a growth ultrasound and date night with hubby for our first date anniversary. We go to the same restaurant that we did on our first date. One of my favorite traditions with him!
I got an exceeded expectations performance review at work! Supervisor had super nice things to say about me I even got a bonus that I was nominated for. Had some coworkers who started comparing their performance to mine and saying things behind my back. Uh whatever, I'm just doing my job and obviously, well. So hatas gon' hate
I talked to my boss today about maternity leave.. It will be mostly paid for, and I have the option to use my PTO for the 2 weeks that won't be covered. My company does not have a specific maternity leave policy, so I really had no idea what to expect.
I also asked my boss if I could work from home one day a week after I get back from maternity leave. I wasn't sure what she would say, but she quickly said yes!! I am so happy. The majority of my responsibilities at work need to be done within a certain time period, but I usually have plenty of advance notice (i.e. I typically do not have something come up that needs to be done within 2 hours). So, I should be able to put in a little extra work Mon-Thurs, have a light day on Friday, and have LO at home with me.

Double yay for paid maternity leave!!! Good for you!! Wish we could all be this fortunate!
My regular OB said she could do my NST twice a week instead of my high risk Dr....which will save me $100 a week in copays! Been dreading these visits just because of the copays. Start in two weeks
I think I found a part-time preschool for DD for this fall! Also, I ordered the last of the decorations I need for baby boy's nursery, so I should be able to finish decorating soon. Yay!
DH is working from home for the whole of next week, which means (with all the long weekends) that I have no need to get up with an alarm for TEN days in a row. And TEN days uninterrupted with my favourite person!! I call that winning!
This whole day was winning! My most winningest moment was when a very needy and uptight mom met with me because it was her son's first day back at school since sustaining a concussion over the weekend. I had been super on top of it and had given her my recommendations as far as rest periods, activity restrictions, etc when I spoke with her yesterday. So today we were talking about the plan for today and the mom said "By the way, his pediatrician was extremely impressed with all your recommendations. He even asked if you had experience working with patients with traumatic brain injury. Everything you suggested was right in line with the most recent regulations. I can't sing your praises enough!" I only wish I had that on tape!
