I think I might cry... (TMI warning)

I just took a look at the downstairs (via flashlight and mirror... ACK, my belly!) because I've been having a lot of pressure and wanted to check what is up.

I shouldn't have done that.

Does anyone else just want to cry about the state of their lady parts? I think my husband is officially banned. I had no idea how disgusting it is down there.

Not sure what I'm looking for? A shoulder to cry on? Support? A reconstructive surgery? HELP ME.

Aww! My DH gives me the 411 on how it looks. I got bikini waxed a few weeks ago (usually do Brazilian) so I have made him charge of any "trimming" necessary lol but yeah it's kinda sad to look in the mirror. Never imagined it would look like that! I'm FTM but from what I understand it's from all the extra blood flow...should go back to normal after birth...eventually. Cheer up your definitely not alone.

I refuse to look at it. There's a reason the belly is in the way and I absolutely will NOT look at it after delivery until I'm recovered. I feel gross enough as it is without doing that to myself.

Meh the swelling doesn't bother me that much. It's the hair that I can't see well enough to remove on my own that terrifies me... I won't get waxed... And last time someone tried to help me I got a cut which turned into a cyst (guess what you REALLY don't want to be bothered with at this stage of pregnancy???)

I shaved yesterday. Thankfully I couldn't see much, but I feel totally disgusting. Add bleeding profusely to this in a few weeks and you have a super awful combo. Just no.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this...I thought I was even having water retention in my lady bits. The whole area is starting to feel very sore over the past two days, it really is uncomfortable to be doing any walking at this point. I still get up and move because I think it helps with the swelling in my legs and feet, but only short distances. I haven't been brave enough to look yet, but hubby says that it definitely doesn't look the same as when I was pre-pregnancy. Oh the joys.

I went for a (long-overdue) wax the other day and felt a million times better about myself. Now I just sort of lightly run a razor over everything else to at least keep it short, but I can't see a damn thing.

It isn't so much the hair that bugs me, but the swelling, I could really do without.

Well I'm bisexual and I have quite a few friends in the porn industry... Pretty sure that's not the case for most women on here though

I can also add that I have four sisters, and was in a ballet company. Quick changes don't give a lot of time for modesty.

I haven't examined the area but had SO trim me up last week. It was like a jungle down there. Being too hairy makes me feel gross but I can't shave or wax because I break out so I usually keep a tight trim. I'll probably have him trim me up one more time before labor because I can't imagine with all the bleeding I'll enjoy "shampooing" my vag, ughhhh..

There was this chick who had a tampon in for 3 months ( irregular period) and she came In only because her husband was finger bangin her and he felt a lump inside her and was concerned....
ummmmmmm soon as I got her in a room even before I had her get waist down I could smell something rotten. She said " my husband felt a lump and I'm concerned. I've had a little discharge lately as well"
we did the pelvic and I almost lost it ... Many times because of the smell .
We got the tampon out and she had no clue and realized it was in there for 3 months and started laughing.
I had to toss the bio bag outside the office it was so pungent.
She was pretty dirty anyway but wtf just wtf
i don't care how hard times are... A bar of soap or shampoo is 99cents at the dollar store. Please please use it!
The worst combo is dirty person mixed with cat urine on the dirty clothes IMO

^^^agreed. I can't stand to have the same tampon in for longer than about 4 hours. Plus, what about the horror stories you hear about leaving a tampon in too long?? I can't stop gagging now.

But FFWC... one time in college I accidentally left a tampon in for several days. And it was disgusting. So I can't imagine 3 months. I'm surprised she didn't die of TSS....

@jonesl12 that has to be fairly common...we had a girl come in for "vaginal odor" and after her nasty tamping was pulled out she realized it had been in for like 5 days. Stunk up the whole hallway for a good four hours. Men are gross but some females are just vile.

DH and I were in the lady product aisle at target one time and we literally had to wait for this girl to get her products before we could get near. She was looking at the summers eve area...lets just say she needed every thing there, a shower, and a doctor to fix that smell. We wanted to barf! What is up with some girls!

Douching wouldn't help the smell because the smell is generally a result of an infection like BV. There are very few reasons a person should ever, ever douche.
