What's next: Really nothing in the next week baby wise. We are moving so just packing my life up.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I've been blown away by how often I feel him moving now and am getting to know his rhythm, which is quite calming for me. Otherwise the usual aches and pains. I'm pretty sad cranberry juice gives me wicked heartburn now, I love the stuff.
Optional: We were going to but have decided to put it off. I'm still taking the time but with moving and jazz it is not the priority.
What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc. In 2-3 weeks I have a standard appointment.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Agree with @Weville that movements are happening all the time now. I had that horrible, full / getting stretched feeling in my stomach off and on.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? Unfortunately, no. Hubby's schedule won't allow it. We had a fun little local trip about a month ago.
09/12/14 BFP (EDD 5/15/15)
10/06/14 US #1 showing baby at 6W1D w/ no HB (rather than 8W4D)
10/13/14 US #2 confirming miscarriage
10/28/14 800mg oral cytotec (very good experience)
What's next: OB appt tomorrow. Also need to take this 1-hour glucose test soon.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Aside for the cervix punching (thanks everyone for sharing your similar experiences this weekend, that was helpful...), there is not too much going on right now, which I am grateful for. I will say I got more kicks this weekend than ever before, which was pretty exciting, someone's got some energy!
GTKY: No plans yet for a babymoon... I think we're trying to save up some days off for our leaves this summer, so it probably won't happen. It could be nice to go somewhere very close for a weekend though, we'll see!
What's next: My next doctor visit is next Friday. I was told to expect the glucose test around then also. Getting ready to sign up for CLASSES! I feel like what's left of this time is going to fly by! Craziness.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I feel like the hormones killing a lot of my taste buds and cravings is something I should expect the rest of this pregnancy. Unfortunately a lot of my dislikes haven't let up, like I'd hoped. Still sleeping ok, thanks to the Snoogle, but I do get up frequently for bathroom trips. LOTS of movement, constantly! It's sporadic so I still haven't been able to pinpoint it enough for the husband to feel but hopefully soon!
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? I crashed my husband's work trip down to Newport Beach last month, and I think that's all we're going to get before baby. He's busting his butt to make every bit of commission possible before baby arrives, so I/we can have more time off after the birth. If baby arrives safely, and everything goes well, my family and I are thinking Thanksgiving in Hawaii with baby!
What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc.: I just saw my OB right now and I don't see her again until 4/13 and I have to do that glucose test. I was so happy to hear my baby and just to hear all is well. I'm 99.9% sure that my OB thinks I'm neurotic when I ask "is this normal". Apparently, everything is normal! Swollen ankles, nose bleeds, needing to eat every 3 hours. All normal! I was very happy to know I've only gained 4 lbs this month as oppose to last month when it was 10!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I love feeling movement. My husband has felt him once! I guess he gets shy. Is anyone else getting a little shaky when they don't eat? I was out and about and all of a sudden I got really hungry and needed to take a seat and eat a snack. Other than that still dealing with swollen ankles and the nose bleeds.
Optional GTKY: We had no plans to do anything but my husband just booked a bed n breakfast for us in Monterey for April. It's like 45 mins from us but it's our favorite spot that we've gone to since we were dating. We both need the time to just relax. I'm excited!
@Kellyj103 I get shaky and out of breath if I do too much and haven't eaten. Usually happens to me in the weekends when I start cleaning before breakfast. Hits me like a ton of bricks and I realize I Haven't eaten yet.
What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc. Appt in a couple weeks and I get to take the glucose test at that time
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Achy. All over. Feel like a creaky old lady! And I've been tired and hormonal, so I'm just a bundle of fun!
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? Nah, saving our pennies. But our anniversary is June 1 so I'm sure we'll try to do something special around here. We're not the super romantic types, so planning special things doesn't happen often.

What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc. Midwife appt on Wednesday, cue usual nerves and excitement.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: my big rave today is that I found out my insurance will cover me to see a personal trainer twice a week and I really like my new primary care NP. My rant is that I wish weight wasn't such a focus all the time on pregnant women. I know it's important to gain in a healthy way but I feel like as a society we've made it acceptable for just anyone to ask a pregnant woman how much weight she's gained and people are obsessed. It's my own problem because it triggers my personal issues with my weight and food etc but I am trying really hard to focus on the health of my baby and not be scale obsessed and neurotic about food. Deep breath. Happy thoughts.
Symptom wise: baby kicks! My favorite symptom! He seems to respond with extra kicking when my husband and I read to him, which makes me all melty. Heartburn continues, sleep issues, ravenous constant hunger, joint instability, itchy belly, sweaty everything, the return of morning sickness despite my continued unisom, SO MANY EMOTIONS.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? Maybe, nothing too big but we live about an hour and half from the coast so we will definitely do a few beach trips and maybe a camping trip if I'm not too uncomfortable yet.
What's next: Regular OB check-in 3 weeks when I'll be doing my GD test. Have the bottle of orange drink sitting in my fridge ready to go.
Rants: ***Question*** I still haven't been able to feel this guy move from the outside, though he's definitely getting more and more active. I had some belly fat before, is it possible that this layer of fat is making it harder to feel the movements on the outside?
Raves:
Symptoms: Leg aches and calf cramps. Didn't refill my diclegis, paid for it dearly, so I'm back on that train and probably will stay there until this guy is out or the prescription runs out and I tempt fate again.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? I was just talking to DH about this over the weekend. We are entering his busy season at work so would need to do something close by. At this point it looks like we'll probably try to get tickets to a Bruins game. Not really what I wanted, but makes the most sense from a time off and money perspective.
What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc. Nothing for a few weeks. Next time I will do my glucose test.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: This weekend I all of a sudden felt hugely pregnant. I just feel big and stuffed and out of breath so I guess baby had a growth spurt. Starting to have more trouble sleeping even with the snoogle and the beginning of swelling and leg cramps so that sucks.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? We are trying to take DS on a beach vacation but we're running out of time. It's been very difficult for DH to get any time off but if we can swing it we will go to Hawaii. We're definitely planning one weekend away for just DH and I at a nearby spot. We call it the baby naming retreat. We did it when I was pregnant with DS and spent most of the weekend eating room service in bed while deciding on names. It was awesome.
What's Next: Therapy on Thursday and U/S a week from Thursday.
R/R/S: I'm sick. We went away for the weekend and got back last night. My BP dropped and I woke up feeling crappy. It's not unusual for me to swell on a long flight, but this was crazy! Even using compression socks. In any case, I won't be flying anymore during this pregnancy. RAVE: feeling the baby move a lot more frequently. And it's very cool because DH finally can feel him/her regularly from the outside!
GTKY: No. We've taken a couple of long weekends but cannot go anywhere w/out excellent care because of my high-risk status.
What's next: Appointments/milestones/etc. - Check up on Thursday and u/s with MFM on April 1 to recheck placenta, hoping it has moved up enough
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: @silvers626 I could have written your symptoms. Feeling pretty huge, out of breath quite easily, swelling started this week and my rings are tight by the end of the day. BUT for a rave, we closed on our new house today and I'm excited to get everything cleaned and put together. I'm so excited to have so much more space.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives? - No, since this is #3 and we just bought a house.
What's next: Nothing for a few weeks. 1st baby shower is on the 2nd (Super excited but anxious. I so have the what if's nagging in the back of my mind and all I can think is what is something happens... then we have to deal with all this baby stuff. I keep trying to push it out of mind). GD test at next appointment and DTaP offered then as well.
R/R/S: Rave: They used the measuring tape and measured my/his growth for the first time at this last appointment. He measured twice but said he is growing/measuring perfectly (still big/ahead even), despite my only gaining 2lbs at that point. (Finally getting back my appetite, and minimal ms/food actually staying down. So now I have to be careful, cuz I gain easily and quick) He moves most the day now and it is the most wonderfully calming thing ever! Rant: This appointment started the pre-term labor/delivery discussion. They don't seem hopeful that he is going to stay put for some reason... Symptoms: Swelling is starting. Mostly noticeable in the morning/when I'm dehydrated/if I've been doing to much-on my feet to much. Almost couldn't get my rings off a couple times now. Definitely feeling visably pregnant now. The shortness of breath, that seems lots worse when I eat.
GTKY: Not particularly . DD is 4, and we have her cousins (7,4 & 2) 5-6 days a weeks. My 1st baby shower will be some what, I suppose. It's a few hours south from our house (all my mom's side of the family and a few friends) so we will go down the day before and spend the night. I will definitely be doted on and get to relax some. Other than that, I want to take some family day trips before little man gets here. We'll see if it actually happens lol
Really not much! We had our regular appointment last week. I was relieved to hear the E. coli infection I had is now totally cleared up. We started painting the nursery last weekend and I'm loving the progress!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Sciatica... Freaking sucks. That is all. LOL oh and I can't wait til I go part time in June. I have zero energy or motivation to be at work all day.
Optional GTKY: Are you going on a babymoon/doing something special before the baby arrives?
Our anniversary is the month before he will arrive so we will most likely do a nice weekend at the coast!
