Suggestions for an in-bed co-sleeper

I would like to keep baby as close as possible to me at night, especially in the beginning. I am not comfortable with just putting baby in the bed with me, so I am considering co-sleepers that you actually put in the bed. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on these? Thanks! • Check out Target or a similar store. They have bassinets/baskets that fit into your bed.

  • Yeah, I glanced at a few tonight at BRU. I wasn't sure if one has better features than another, or something like that.

  • We just used a box when son was little.
  • ^just joking, but i literally feel like u could, as long as there wasn't a lid on it ;)
  • LOL, I think you're right. My husband had our son lying in a laundry basket for a bit when he was a newborn. Made for a cute picture!

  • I use the lulyboo bassinet which I really like because the sides are firm enough to keep their shape but not metal or plastic which I would find uncomfortable to have in bed. It's also a good height for reaching in if she drops her pacifier or needs a cuddle. I can comfortably sleep with my hand on her belly if she's fussy because the sides aren't too high. Plus it folds up and has an option to wear as a backpack if you need to take it with you on a trip to have a sleeping spot for baby. I often bring it to my mums or grandmas so LO has a safe sleep surface while we visit.
  • I'm not sure what brand it is (I can get up to check when LO finishes her nap on my chest) but we have a travel bassinet that we use as a cosleeper. It's a little bit larger then a regular cosleeper so our king bed feels small but I love it. It looks like a camping tent set up, with poles you click into place and mesh/nylon sides. And the best part is is that it folds up small with a carrying handle so you can literally take it anywhere. My only complaint is that it needs a harder bottom. I don't have a picture of the baby in it, but here is our 16 pound cat enjoying it!
