shoulder dystocia?

Looking in my chart, I found out that I'm considered high risk because DS got stuck on the way out. Any other moms who had one child get stuck? What did that mean for your next labor? Does that mean I'll be at a higher risk of a c-section this time? His shoulder was fine, but my chart still states that I have a history of shoulder dystocia.

I plan on asking a doctor about it next week at my appointment, but I would love to hear from other moms to see what happened for you.

Little bit of backstory: I gave birth to DS at the hospital that I'm currently with. Most of this pregnancy has been with a different doctor and provider who may not have had all of that information, so it was never discussed. I swapped back to the original hospital at the beginning of the month, so they're in the process of getting my medical files from this current pregnancy while also referencing information from my last pregnancy.

    This did not happen to me. However it happened to a friend of mine for her first son. For her second, she labored at a birth center with a midwife and she gave birth on all fours, which she feels was better and she did not have any issues with her second. It certainly can be scary but hopefully this isn't an issue this time around for you!

    My first VBAC almost ended up in a c/s because he got stuck (3+ hrs of pushing, resulting in the need for a vacuum). I hired a doula for my 2nd VBAC and she had me push on a birthing stool and baby was out in 2 pushes. You better believe that doula will be with me again this time!

    I only pushed for about 30 minutes before DS was born. I actually didn't even know his shoulder was stuck until after the fact. DH just started yelling at me and commanding me to PUSH NOW, so I did. Apparently he had gotten a signal from a nurse that I couldn't take a break.
