1. How long have you been TTC?
2. What is your diagnosis?
3. What is your current treatment plan?
QOTW: What is one thing you will never do again?
Re: TTTC Checkin 03/14/2016
QOTW - Going through infertility, I told myself that I will never ever ask anyone about their baby plans. I never used to ask others directly, but I would talk about it with girlfriends and ask "hey, is so and so planning to start a family soon?" Ugh, terrible, I know. But I was young(er) and stupid and this was before I was married and started trying on my own. All my friends got married way before I did, so it felt like a harmless discussion to have between girlfriends. Now when the topic comes up, I just remind my girlfriends that they don't know if someone can be struggling and it can be a very hurtful question to ask.

I am new to this board. My DH and I have only been TTC for 4 cycles, but after the second cycle I sensed something was wrong and approached my doctor (I won't go into details, but I knew something was wrong). She also agreed that my luteal phases were way too short, and I was ovulating quite late in my cycle. I went to see an RE because I'm in my mid thirties and we are TTC #1. Not expecting anything extraordinary, all my anatomy looked healthy and he could see I was about to ovulate around CD16. I went in this morning for a progesterone check and the blood work came back with me at 4.7, 3 days post ovulation. This is clearly very low when they want to see me at at least 10. The doctor wants me to start endometrin twice a day and while the nurse answered some of my questions, I'm left feeling really confused and was wondering if anyone could help.
What does this mean in terms of us TTC? And is this cycle a wash now or am I starting the endometrin early enough that there's hope I will conceive this cycle (our timing was perfect)? Has anyone experienced this? I'm hoping nothing is seriously wrong, but I don't know. Appreciate your help so much.
QOTW: I will never go white water rafting again. We did it on our honeymoon in costa rica and they told us what to do if we flipped over but said that that really never happens, 5 min in we flipped over and the raft was on top of me..I was fine but super scared and finished that day but won't do it again!
The one thing I'd never do again: tell people we are TTC. It's been 2 years since we started TTC, and we told everyone at first. Big mistake! I always get questions and prodding about our TTC status from family and friends. And it hurts every time. Now I just respond with how busy we are with jobs/wedding/etc., and hope they just take the hint and drop it.
im waiting for my Ivf consult this Friday after six failed iuis.
I know this might sound, I don't know, bad, but the thing I will never do again is go back to school. I just paid off all my student loans from grad school (from our inheritance) and I NEVER want debt like that again. I feel so free now!
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs

FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
I agree that I will NEVER casually ask about anyone's plans to have children ever again- until I was on this side I had no idea what kind of feelings that nonchalant question could trigger. I'll also never jump off a cliff like I did in Jamaica. So scared on the way down into the ocean- and that was just the 'small cliff' that you jumped off to swim over to the big cliff. I swam back to the boat instead!
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
One thing I will never do again?
I honestly this is really hard! Of course I try to be more courteous and self aware when discussing topics that may trigger something for someone. However, I work in traumatic situations every day as a foster care worker. There a lot of things I wish I never had to do again, but that would be unrealistic.
I agree with PPs answers about not asking about others' fertility! I also hope that I won't ever be insensitive to people going through loss again. When my grandma died, I didn't know how to help my mom through her grief. Now after my two miscarriages, I think I'd do a much better job with empathy and support.
TTC since May 2014.

Something I'll never do again.....I will never discuss my relationship problems with my husband to anyone besides my husband. Before we were married, I made the mistake of running to my sister and then best friend about issues I had with him....bit the problem is...once you get past the issues and move on....your friends and family don't move on and still hold on to hostility and resentment. ..all while we are happy and long over it. So from then on....our problems stay between us.
We are finally starting our first round of treatment after what feels like forever! I went in for my CD3 appointment - they did an ultrasound and blood work, and it all turned out okay so I was given Clomid (FINALLY!). I was prescribed 100mg of Clomid for 5 days starting on Thursday, so I will be taking Clomid from March 17th - 21st. On March 21st (CD9), I will be going back in for another ultrasound and blood work, and they will measure my follicles, then potentially going back again CD11, and getting an Ovidrel injection.
I've never been so excited about having to go to the doctor so much, it feels nice to know we are finally able to start our treatment.
QOTW: What is one thing that you will never do again?
I agree with PP about asking people about getting married, having children, buying a house and all of that....you really never know what someone else is going through.
I will also NEVER treat a family like they are any less than a family because they aren't married or don't have children, and I would never leave anyone out of a conversation because of that.
I will also NEVER make the mistake of only asking women about their children/marriages. Throughout this experience I have found that ALL that the women around me are talking about are babies and children, and when you do not have children, all of a sudden, you don't get to participate. I think this whole experience will make me so much more aware of asking people about OTHER parts of their lives as well....especially those like me right now who do not have children, or others who might not be married, etc. People have so much more depth than that, and they should be acknowledged and appreciated for ALL that they are.
Okay, so that's three things....apparently I have a lot on my mind! haha

TTTC #2 since September 2020, Currently in Testing phase
QOTW: This is a tough question since I want to think of something unique. So for me it's more of a goal and not something I can say I will "never do again", but it's comparing yourself to others, especially those with kids who do not struggle with IF.
TTC #2 starting 9/2019
BFP 7/13/2020!
Due 3/18/2021
TTC #1 since 2/2015

QOTW: What is one thing you will never do again?
Um. I will never get drunk on fruity drinks again. I accidentally got drunk for the first time ever on syrupy sweet drinks and now even smelling it turns my stomach.

Married for 7 years, TTC for 4 years

2 Clomid IUI's + 4 injectable IUI's= 5 BFNs and 1 mc
I waited til today to update since I saw my RE yesterday.. We've been cleared to start our next round of IVF. My RE's jaw nearly dropped when he saw that I lost 18lbs since my last visit in December. We discussed starting this month which would have to be this coming week, however I was honest with him and myself and told him that I'm honestly not mentally ready this month, I want to lose some more wait and keep getting myself healthier so that we give this IVF cycle every chance it has of working, he was impressed with my ability to wait another month or so but honestly, whats a month or two more when we've been waiting this long. The goal for all us is a healthy pregnancy and baby right? So that's where we are, he is still going to monitor me this month to make sure nothing has changed from the last time I was in and we will just take it day by day.
QOTW: I will never judge myself and my ability to be strong and healthy again. Over the years I've been so hard on myself and just kept telling myself that why bother exercising or trying to lose weight because it's just never going to work. That changed over the last 4 months for me, I found a nutritionist and personal trainer who I love and am finally feeling like it's ok to spend that money on myself and be selfish for once about getting myself healthier.. I will never again make that mistake!
1. How long have you been TTC?
06/2016 - 11 cycles
2. What is your diagnosis?
MFI - high DNA fragmentation
3. What is your current treatment plan?
Just supplements for DH and continuing timed intercourse for now. DH isn't ready to start the medicated IUI that our doctor is recommending.
QOTW: I agree with @wifeinraleigh28 I will never go back to school. We could have bought a house with the money we spent on my grad schooling. We're so close to paying off my student loans and I can't wait to put it all behind us.

QOTW- Would have consulted a gynae earlier. just read up online and thought CD 14 is when we should be BD, but when I finally went to a doc and did my first follicular monitoring I realized I usually ovulate early. Ce'st la vie. Que sera sera and all that

Qotw: I want to say that I won't get excited to early if we get a positive again but in all honesty I know that's not true.
I haven't been on in awhile because I've been trying to find joy in the waiting. If I spend too much time thinking about the infertility, I tend to get really down and depressed, and I'm trying so hard to stay positive. After a long wait, I'm FINALLY getting to go see the RE this week. My husband is going with me on Friday. I've been taking 1000 mg of metformin since my last round of Clomid, but I'm hoping they can see a change in my bloodwork because of the metformin. Please think about me this week as I hope to get some positive news and a game plan.
QOTW: I never want to do a ropes course again. I hate them, and I've had enough team building for a lifetime.
Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!
