My response exactly!!! Thankfully, Target, BRU, and Walmart will take them back with no questions asked and give full value even without the receipt. I am going to check the dates on ours when I get home and make a trip to BRU I guess.

@austintoastie I used Chicco with both my older kids and went on recs and got the Britax travel system this time around, ugh!

I just realized I never registered it. Honestly it was our 1st purchase and it never even crossed my mind. Ill check it when I get home and can only hope its not one of the effected models.

You might not have even been able to...I say this because my friend told me over the weekend that she looked for it in multiple places and it was out of stock everywhere. Now I know why.

It really is an amazing car seat, and we never had an issue (though I will be ordering the repair kit). If the newer versions aren't in the recall list, I wouldn't count them out as an option. It truly is a great car seat with very high reviews! I would still buy a Britax! #britaxforlife

Mine too (I think ) - looks like it was manufactured 10/15 so we missed the cut off! Seriously changed my whole mood.

This is totally random and an old thread, but FYI that I registered for the old britax model that was affected by the recall and noticed the new model just came out. We took the old model to Target and they evenly exchanged it for the newer model no issues due to the recall (I didn't mess with even looking to see if the old model I received was apart of the recall or not). Just thought I'd let you guys know in case you were wanting the newer model as well!
