A woman I know is 35 weeks pregnant and is counting 37 weeks as full-term ie/ she's assuming baby will come "anytime" as soon as she hits that 37 week mark. I just want to shake her because she's about to make those three weeks the LONGEST WEEKS OF HER LIFE.

I hope the baby comes at 42 since that's still within the range of normal. EDD means anytime 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after that date. I'd almost enjoy watching her wait after saying that

  • @CourtJack That will be the case for me.  My daughter came at 36w5d.  I'm certain that every day past that mark will be the LONGEST DAY EVER for this one.  Not that I want another preterm delivery--no matter how close to full term she was, she had challenges to overcome--I just never had to do that final month before!!!!!

Hello, rude awakening! I kinda hope she goes wayyyy over, just because I'm evil like that. I was 41+5 with our daughter, so maybe she'll even go that long. Mwahahaha!!!

The last two weeks are horrendous. It is actual hell on earth. You cant sleep, eat, breathe, walk, move, live.. The list goes on.
  • Just found out that our air conditioner crapped out. Bye bye $4800! :(

Ha! I totally thought the same. I am the devil! I was 41+3 with DD. Maybe we've earned the right to be jerks? :D:D

I drink more water than a fish and have been scarfing down fiber gummies. Blech.

Lol. I'm currently addicted to all the fiber one bars that DONT have chocolate on them, so I think over the weekend I ate a third of a Costco size box.... Oops? And I still need to go. I'm also lactose intolerant and even dairy isn't making me go.

  • Just called to book my glucose tolerance test, and then immediately realized I had booked it at the exact same time as a dr's appointment. Now waiting on hold to fix it...I suck at life and pregnancy brain is a bitch.
  • My doctor kind of freaked out on me today because I'm up 6 lbs from my last appointment.
Then she said it was just 16 lbs overall so she isn't worried.

I have no idea where she is getting these numbers from. (I guess their scale sucks, I don't look when they weigh...) I started at x, now I'm at x....which is 22lbs.   Oh how I wish it was only 16lbs.

Also, my glucose test is next Monday.  Totally overhead the nurse tell a lady in the waiting room to not go anywhere bc of the sugar.  *insert all the questions to random stanger*

  • I just cannot comisserate on the horrible baby shower thread. Showers can be exceedingly uncomfortable particularly if you're not into being the center of attention but it just doesn't sound that bad to me...idk maybe I'm an asshole? I just can't get on the "Oh I am so sorry for you" train. But I will keep my mouth shut since I have nothing nice to say.

  • Just had my glucose test. I'll get the results by Thursday, or so the doctor says. *crosses fingers*
  • I finished my dinner, took my dog for a walk...then sent H out to get me a big slice of pizza, lol. I might even have dessert, too. GIVE ME ALL THE FOOD!

I brought mini pies to school for my students, and I have a few left--I'm looking forward to eating them.

Oh dear god, what am I in for?? Sounds awful!
    Married July 2014
    DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
  • Woo! Finally caught up! Every time I started to read, I'd get hungry!

@fishwife799 Great idea on the new thread! I have a coworker whose daughter gave birth at 25 weeks. Her due date was June 14, and it really freaked me out. Baby is ok though!

Taking my GTT tomorrow! FX all goes well!
  • I've got a pint Ben and Jerry's Cheesecake Brownie waiting for me after I scarf down dinner. Can't eat fast enough.....
  • Sooooo.....does anyone else get nauseous when their baby goes nutso? Because oh my word.
Only when she manages to kick my stomach.  Fortunately she seems to have a thing for my belly button so its a rare occurrence so far but I can see it becoming an issue as she moves up my torso .

Normally I have little interest or sympathy for anything shower-related but the post today sounded seriously awful. Having people complain about you at your own shower?? Actually hearing people tell you to hurry up with opening your gifts?? Why even go to a shower if you're gonna be an a-hole about it.
I'm also not commenting. I agree there was some crappy, crappy stuff (that MIL speech, WHAT?!!?).  but there was also some "Really!?!?" stuff that I couldn't handle.  So I didn't comment there and won't tear it apart here either.

I have like a five inch torso- no joke- so there's nowhere for this dude to go but up and out. Blech.
  • @MamaNicoleof3 yessss. If he gets me right in the middle of the gut it'll feel like I got punched and I usually have to sit down because I feel like I'm going to vomit. I don't know what I prefer, that or the painful bladder/cervix kicks that just make me want to cry.
  • @amberraysofdawn- HI! Feel free to join our hilarity and nonsense :) we're a fun group of ladies, if I do say so ;)
  • I am supposed to be folding laundry because I've gotten way too far behind on it.  Instead, I'm sitting on the bed with a basket of laundry, untocuhed, watching the bachelor and feeling my baby do a dance from the ice cream I just ate.  At this rate, H may not have folded undershirts for work tomorrow. Oh well.
This is me almost exactly!  Except babies are moving because of peanut M&Ms and I actually did fold some laundry.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI!
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
