    Week: 6

What's new with baby (size, development):
Baby is the size of a sweet pea and is starting to form it's facial features.  According to TB, Baby might even be moving its paddle-like hands and feet.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
H has been buying a pack of diapers every time we go grocery shopping.  We will be shampooing the carpet in the nursery sometime next month while we still have H's grandmother's carpet shampooer. We have to return it at the end of April :\

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Boob soreness is out of control and I've resorted to sleeping in a padded sports bra. It hurts to even hug H. I'm having waves of nausea.  It was/is really bad this morning and I couldn't finish my breakfast. Some lovely zits have popped up on my chin and I feel like all I do is sleep and pee when I'm home. Having some stretching/pulling in my uterus. But I feel great! :)

    When is your next appointment:
WEDNESDAY!!!!!!! H and I have been counting down the days. I can't wait.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick?

  • Week: Six! We're due date twins, @ShallowSeas

What's new with baby (size, development): Baby is the size of a sprinkle! (And all the things you said above, haha)

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: We're starting to talk names and maybe get somewhere, and we got our announcement to the family shirt in the mail for Easter!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I feel generally crappy, but in a nondescript kind of way. Tired, barfy but no barfing, just generally slow. I feel like I'm living a lie - we haven't told my family yet because we want to announce on Easter or when we do easter eggs, but it's SO HARD. I told them when I POAS last time. The wait is killing me!

When is your next appointment: It feels like it's finally getting closer! I go a week from Thursday (3/24, at 7+3, for an ultrasound) I made the appt at 3w3d, so it's been a long haul! It finally feels like it's on the horizon.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Gilmore Girls, HANDS DOWN. Every time I drive through CT I wonder what town might be the most like Stars Hollow. I totally want to live there.

  • Week:  5

What's new with baby (size, development): Size of an appleseed and shaped like a tadpole, major organs are starting to form. Bump says baby will almost double in size over the next week!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Focusing on eating healthy, mostly. We're closing on our first house next month, so starting to pack boxes here and there and look at  nursery ideas :)

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Emotions are ALL over the place, and my sense of smell is really heightened. I woke up feeling kinda queasy this morning, but was able to eat breakfast. Exhausted, I've been sleeping 9-10 hours each night and I'm still tired, boobs are sore and I pee twice an hour. I've noticed light, light cramping right before I have gas - when I first felt the cramps I was nervous but it all makes sense now.

When is your next appointment: March 24 - a week from Thursday! Not an ultrasound appointment though, apparently won't have one of those until I'm 10-12 weeks. Seems forever away!

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Right now Fixer Upper - I'm obsessed with HGTV and want Chip and Joanna to do a house for me!
    <BabyFetus Ticker >
  • I've given up on analyzing why my spreadsheet thinks I'm at 6+1 and the tickers/online calculators all say 6. No one else was a Sunday ticker change so I'm just calling it Monday!

    Week:
     6!

What's new with baby (size, development): 7-9 mm. About the size of these neodymium magnets I shouldn't have anymore! Heart is beating and starting to divide into right and left chambers.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Small apartment + baby on the way means out with the old and in with the new. We went through ~3 file boxes of misc this weekend.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: At 5 weeks I couldn't tell if I had morning sickness or my gastroparesis was flaring up. That was GP. THIS is morning sickness - blasting right through my b6 and unisom. I've taken to carrying a smoothie or orgain on ice around with me to make sure I eat something through the day.

When is your next appointment: Tuesday! Meet the new OB and have my first ultrasound. Ask a passel of bizzare questions that I'm pretty sure there are no good answers to.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Top Chef. I can't stand the thought of -eating- food, but looking at it and talking about it fascinates me right now.
  • Week: 5 wks

What's new with baby (size, development): apple seed ;) Itty bitty little guy

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: We've been talked baby names also and  shocked how we have a list of names we both like! Last time was.so.hard!!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Sore boobs. Plus also, I'm loosing like half a head of hair every day. Is this normal? Haaalp! I thought this was suppose to happen after the baby was born.

When is your next appointment: I still need to find an OB. No appt yet. Hopefully I can make some calls this week.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick?
    HGTV for me too!

  • Week: 4

What's new with baby (size, development):  poppyseed

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:  Nothing yet.  We'll wait for an ultrasound to show things are going okay before we do much of anything.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My queasyness last week was awful.  Now it's back to off and on, rather than all the time.  My boobs hurt so much.  And I am exhausted.   I don't mind any of them because they make me feel pregnant!

When is your next appointment: Next Wednesday I have my first appointment (3/23), but it's a group class with the nurse practitioner.  At that point I'll make my first appointment with the OB (a new doctor for me).

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Gilmore Girls I think!

  • Week: 6

What's new with baby (size, development): Starting to develop facial features and the neural tube is closing.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Just went and bought some maternity clothes. I am so bloated my regular jeans just don't fit (dress pants are fine, though) so I got three pairs which should probably do me for the pregnancy. Also bought baby a musical toy.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: So frigging bloated it's insane. I just can't get comfortable.

When is your next appointment: Ultrasound at the RE's office tomorrow. It's also my birthday so I'm really, really hoping for good news. A heartbeat would be fantastic.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? I can't decide between two (and you didn't specify that it had to be a fictional show!) Untold Stories of the ER and Mystery Diagnosis. My three big areas of interest are family, obstetrics, and emerg and I have a huge, huge interest in rare disorders. I've been fascinated by medical mysteries since I was a child (part of why I want to go into family: you see everything! Weird stuff included) and I love figuring out a rare diagnosis.

What's new with baby (size, development): baby is the size of a poppyseed

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: just trying not to stress too much at this point ;)

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Not feeling like have any sex these days. Feeling sorry for DH ha ha, poor guy

When is your next appointment: April 7, so far away still!

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Why cant I think of a show!? Ha ha, all the shows I like I dont think would be good to live in, since people die in them, eeekkk! If I knew I wasnt going to die, and my family as safe too I d pick Supernatural because those guys are super cute and awesome music.

@ShallowSeas Peeing and sleeping seem to be my new hobbies as well! also, ditto on the pimples. Ive always have been the lucky one of my two sisters and have never broken out before in my life other than the last time I was pregnant and again now. It was actually one of my clues that I was again! @talkthewholetime We are doing easter egg reveals too! Every year we get together on good Friday to paint eggs together and its kinda a big deal because we have a competition and only the best eggs get laid out on the Easter breakfast table. We always do a name egg for each person and pet in the family so I was thinking about making a "baby" egg but need to come up with something cutesy to write.@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt Happy birthday and good luck for tomorrow!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week: six! Who knew I would be SO excited for Mondays?
What's new with baby (size, development): Baby's heart is beating away! This both scares and thrills me!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: It wasn't necessarily planned for baby, but my mother (who I don't get along with very well) and her ex run the company I work for, and have taken me off the schedule for the month as punishment for my H leaving for a job in his field and for me having to take time off for my surgery. Its a small business so they get away with things like this. Crazy, I know but its something you wouldn't understand unless you've dealt with them yourselves. Im taking everything as a sign from the universe to finally get away from my crazy controlling mother and venture out into a new healthier and less stress job. Had an interview today and I am really hoping that pulls through!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I am proud of myself for still trying my hardest to remain positive and find the silver linings despite my crashing. I really am trying my hardest. I had a couple hints of nausea the last day or so and Im hoping its not a sign of MS coming on. Also, all the emotions- especially crying.over.everything.

When is your next appointment: My next apt is the consultation meeting on the 28th that I keep complaining about but now finally excited for because it SOMETHING and getting closer. And then ultrasound on the 14th!

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick?

Once Upon A Time hands down.

    edit: because words.

  • Week: 5

What's new with baby (size, development):size of an appleseed

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: cleaning out our "shit room" which will be DD#1 new big girl room so baby can be closer to us in the nursery. Will be working on transitioning her to her new room.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: none. A little more winded on my long run this weekend but I was doing a trail run which I loathe so that could be it too.

When is your next appointment: 3/25 for ultrasound with RE!! Can't wait

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick?  uh yeah anything HGTV. Fixer Upper is my fav.

  • Week:
    6

What's new with baby (size, development):
    Heartbeat is now detectable

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
Well, as much as this baby was planned it was planned because DH really wanted a baby. I didn't and I am still working through  my emotions. Dh knows he is in charge of everything with this baby. It was part of the deal if we had one so not sure if anything will be ready.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Feeling fairly good physically. Mentally I have been pissed off for 2 weeks (see above). Just trying to get passed my thoughts.

    When is your next appointment:
    April 11th (1st appointment)

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick
    Walking dead!
  • Week: 6 (I'm here now after my US today - I was 2 days off)

What's new with baby (size, development): Baby has a heartbeat! We saw it on the US today.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: I had to go out and get some sea bands because my nausea is SO BAD.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Seeing the baby on the ultrasound today was such an incredible thing. I had an empty sac with the last pregnancy (MC), and I was so worried that would happen again. Also rave: My husband is being the sweetest person. I'm having terrible morning (all day) sickness, so he spent time today trying to eliminate any smells in our house, making me chicken noodle soup, and buying me foods that I can stomach. Such a sweetheart.

When is your next appointment: I'm having another ultrasound on 3/25.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? That's a tough one because I either watch dramas like Breaking Bad or comedies. I could live in The Office just because I love it.
    Me: 29, DH: 31

  • @cagirl18 congrats on the new home!

@killgravemademedo it Happy Birthday! Hope the ultrasound goes well.

@kns1988 My last pregnancy was a blighted ovum as well. I am terrified for my first ultrasound for this baby. The image of the empty sac from my first pregnancy ultrasound is just burned in my mind.

    Week:
     4

What's new with baby (size, development): Waterbear

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Not much yet. We already have the nursery painted and furniture set up from my previous pregnancy (loss). So we just need to work on finishing that, but it probably wont happen for weeks.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Just have had sore boobs. Also some minor nausea. I feel like its going to get worse.

When is your next appointment: I haven't scheduled it yet. I have had two betas 10DPO - 16 and 14DPO - 187. I have one more on Friday and then I will probably schedule my first appointment.

GTKY: If you had to live in one TV show, what would you pick? Like @NatashaSproutThe Walking Dead. H's grandpa just gave us some guns so now we have 3 rifles, 3 shotguns, and 3 handguns between the two of us.
