It's that time again! Does anyone feel like this week just flew by?
How far along are you?
Where are you from?
How are you feeling?
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
How are you feeling? I had a tough week emotionally because I had a fight with a friend and wasn't sleeping well. Now that my uterus is outside the pelvic bones I love feeling the edges of where it is everyday and especially first thing in the morning. My sciatica pain is 99% gone which is awesome. Not much else to report here.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Argh I'm still waiting on 1st tri screening test results before I can do maternity21, it's been 3 weeks today and they said it usually takes 2 weeks. I really hope they come in soon this is ridiculous.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My mom is taking me shopping for maternity clothes this weekend and shoes!
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
My whole life, for as long as I can remember I have always had a thought in the back of my mind that I "should" be losing weight. And now that I am pregnant it is really nice that I "shouldn't" loose weight and that very heavy burden of thinking that every day of my life is lifted. I definitely started out with a little belly and it always bothered me, but now that my little belly is getting bigger because of baby I love it!!! I love that I have a valid reason to be taking naps everyday if I want. And most of all I love that my body is creating a life, it is just so weird and cool to think about a little being is growing inside of me.
It's that time again! Does anyone feel like this week just flew by? YES! And thank goodness! I'm glad to be this much closer to my next appointment.
How far along are you? 13w 4d
Where are you from? California, originally. Now, Nebraska.
How are you feeling? I feel pretty much like my normal self. I still get tired, but I think that's the product of a full-time job that I work mostly from home while chasing a toddler. Haha.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) 2 weeks and 2 days to go to my 16 week appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I feel like I am maybe, just maybe sensing the occasional baby tap. I thought I felt one or two yesterday while I was sitting and conducting interviews all day. But I also think that's probably highly unlikely given my anterior placenta. But it's not gas. It's fun to be keeping my spidey-senses on alert for any possible movement though.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
Right now? Hm. This is a hard part of pregnancy for me. People know, which is fun, my blump is visible, which is sort of fun, but I don't have the real bump or the definite movement, which are my favorite parts. So I guess my favorite thing right now is just knowing that a miracle is happening in there! I like imagining who this baby will be and all of the things I'm excited to learn about him or her--starting with whether baby is a he or a she in about 6 more weeks!
I do feel like the last week flew by! Thankful that time seems to be speeding up a bit.
How far along are you? 11+ weeks
Where are you from? Portland, OR
How are you feeling? Not bad. I just keep waking up in the middle of the night and takes a while to go back to sleep.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) My follow up u/s on Monday went well! My uterus didn't have the funny shape like last week. Baby was measuring another day ahead from the last measurement (not sure which date to go by). Lots of fibroids though although that's not much of a surprise. I had my blood draw and counseling for the Harmony test so waiting on those results.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I told my parents and sister this week and they are very excited We still need to tell DH's mom and then decide when to tell everyone else.
GTKY: I guess for now I just like knowing that I'm pregnant! Although somehow I feel like that is still hard to believe...it's still sinking in after nearly 2 months! After telling my family I love thinking about future family gatherings with this child. There's a lot to look forward to.
Where are you from? I live in Boston. I'm originally from New Hampshire.
How are you feeling? Starting to feel large and to tire easily, but generally I feel great!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) No appointments until the week after next.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm starting to get nervous about later complications of pregnancy... gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, preterm labor, complications during delivery. I know the odds are in my favor of everything going smoothly, but I can't shake this feeling that everything's been too good to be true so far.
GTKY: I LOVE the kicks and squirms and somersaults. They're an intermittent reminder that there is something inside of me, something that I created and I am nurturing and I carry with me all day every day. I'm starting to feel like a mom. This makes me smile without fail every time.
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
It's that time again! Does anyone feel like this week just flew by? I am so newly pregnant that every day is lasting a million years. But that's okay, because I'm pregnant :-)
How far along are you? 3w 4d
Where are you from? San Diego
How are you feeling? Pregnant! I want to vomit (though I haven't), I'm exhausted, and my boobs are killing me.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I just scheduled my first appointment (with a new doctor) and it turns out the first thing is class with a nurse practitioner. So that's in about 2 weeks and then I'll schedule an 8 or so week appt.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm just happy to be part of the team :-)
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? I love being pregnant. Every twinge and bout of nausea makes me happy. I am hopeful and excited to get to the point where I feel more secure in the pregnancy, but for now I'm just happy to be on that road.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Just really tired lately and starting to get uncomfortable. Other than that, I cannot complain for being this far along with #3.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I had an appointment this week. Baby is growing beautifully, measuring at approximately 4 lbs already!
Rants/Raves/Questions: RANT: When people tell me what I should or should not be doing...Ummm especially because this is my 3rd child!! LOL.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
I love that my daughter (8 years old) is getting to enjoy this pregnancy so much! She was only 2.5 when I had my son, so she doesn't remember. I also love feeling the baby move
How far along are you? 20 weeks tomorrow -- halfway there!
Where are you from? SW Florida
How are you feeling? I'm so tired today. I really, really want a nap, but I need to work. Other than that, I've been feeling pretty good.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) 5 days until the anatomy scan
Rants/Raves/Questions:This might sound weird, but feeling the baby move can be a bit disconcerting at times. Normally,
feelings in my abdominal area are due to tummy troubles, fear or dread.
Having your baby move inside you shouldn't make you feel like you're
scared to give a speech and about to have diarrhea. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I crazy?
GTKY: What do you LOVE about
being pregnant right now? I loved the u/s's, finding out the sex, and announcing to everyone, but there hasn't been much excitement lately. So I guess my favorite thing right now is that I can eat more than usual.

@CarrieandRoy -- feeling the baby move is totally weird. Maybe as you get more used to it, it will remind you less of those things like dread and stage fright.
@carrieandRoy the babe moving is totally foreign and strange...but soon it will become normal and awesome!
loved reading about the orange therapy workouts ladies, I'm obsessed with new workouts, though for then, sat 3 years I've done all my workouts at home. Getting to the gym (which I was so burnt out on after a lifetime), was impossible with a newborn. And before him, I had just moved to be with my then fiancé, so the only time I had to workout was at home. Bought insanity, and my at home workout addiction started. But I love the theory behind the OTP, I'll have to see if there are any, kind of like a crossfit mentality? Which both intrigues me and scares the shit out of me;) I can get very competitive
26+4
had my ob appt today and my hubs was able to come for the first time and likely only time until baby is here:( scheduling c-section at next appt in 3 weeks, eeeek, and was trying to move up the date so my hubs could definitely be there, but apparently it's illegal to schedule anything before 39 weeks, grrr. Just wanted to do it on a Friday so he could def miss a day of work and then have the weekend. Oh well. My mom has been here though for 3 days to watch my son, not rushing back for a babysitters, it's been heaven, just having her here and not having to stress about who's watching my kid has been awesome. Plus I just had a date lunch with hubs after dr, win!
i grew up in suburbia west of Boston.
Sciataca is is duller but still there. The chiropractor said I should be sore for a day, praying this really helps though. I've still been working out daily but have stopped the last 3 days and I'm one big grumpy person, not good.
I love feeling baby girl move, I'm still in the stage where I'm not fully grasping that a newborn will be here in 12 weeks, like I've done zero to prepare. I'm just going to go with my 'relaxed' attitude a little while longer....oh and read the junk food thread and eat ALL the sweets!
@Wyattnash00I don't get a competitive vibe at Orange Theory. For me, everyone else's energy gives me energy. Not to mention the encouragement of the trainer.

How far along are you? 37 weeks. Tick, tick, tick...
Where are you from? I've lived in the Portland metro area since I was three. I consider myself a life-long Oregonian!
How are you feeling? Really lazy, to be honest. I had a huge to-do list (really a list of things that needed to be cleaned) and DH has been overly enthusiastic about checking things off. I just want to do nothing right now. I'm also in denial that I'm ABOUT TO HAVE A BABY!!!! Even though I've done this twice, it just doesn't seems real yet!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Had an appointment on Monday. My GBS was negative (Yay! One less thing to worry about!) and an ultrasound confirmed that baby is head down! My blood pressure was all over the place this week. It was great at my Monday appointment, (122/65) but the fact that it has fluctuated so much has me a little worried that it's about to get completely out of control. I also had an entire day of heart palpitations/arrhythmia on Tuesday, which was unpleasant at best and a little scary at worst. I just want my diastolic to stay at 90 or below (I track it at home) and my systolic hasn't been high enough for me to freak out over except at a Dr's visit a few weeks ago.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My kids swept and mopped the kitchen and the living room this morning, and DH has been home for the past 2 days which has been really nice, even if the main activity is DH and the kids arguing about who is smarter/more annoying.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? I love that I feel completely justified in asking DH to bring home any food that I feel like eating. Haagen Daz bars? Overpriced raspberries that are completely out of season? A hamburger? I ask for whatever I want, and I don't feel guilty! I also love when people ask me about my pregnancy when I go out in public. The people we know who work at the stores we frequent get so excited when the see me waddle through the door, and I love it. I love to talk about pregnancy, and I don't mind if old ladies touch my belly. I guess it's how I build a sort of community for myself since I'm not working right now. I'm also really excited to be able to experience giving birth again. I want to see how our birth story turns out this time, and I enjoy the challenge of dealing with contractions (call me crazy!) I'm also looking forward to going through the process with my husband, since he's never experienced it before.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! I definitely have some "senioritis" around leaving my job at the end of June and also the hole formerly known as my belly button piercing from when I was 21 is starting to hurt like a mofo.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just had a fetal echo that went well. I feel like over half of the appointment was spent trying to get a good pic of baby Amy's aortic arch. She kept rolling away from the ultra sound wand and covering her chest and neck with her hands. I'm glad that it's over and that everything looked great! I also had my monthly OB/Midwife appointment and everything looks good! My blood pressure is a down a little bit and my weight has stabilized which is good. My next appointment isn't until April when I will have my glucose test and the first Rhogram shot.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My sister and her boyfriend are coming to visit me this Sunday and they are bringing me a butt-load of baby stuff including the travel system my Grandparents purchased... I ended up going with the Orbit G3 Porter Travel System. I tried a bunch of different strollers out and, man, this one is just awesome. I love the ergonomics of it! I can't wait to set it up in the car. In fact, I actually emptied out my car and tomorrow I will vacuum it out in preparation even though there will be no baby until July! I also can't wait to see my sister!
GTKY: What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? I love the way DH looks at me. I love feeling the little kicks and thuds which are becoming more frequent and stronger, right now she is going to town in there! Must have been the root beer float I had for dessert tonight.
It's that time again! Does anyone feel like this week just flew by? Yup the week just flew by, and I wish time would travel faster
How far along are you? I am 13 weeks and 4 days
Where are you from? I am from Mumbai, India
How are you feeling? Actually don't feel pregnant at all, don't have the usual symptoms like nausea, DH says I should be thankful but I feel like I may have missed out on something, my legs ache in the night and if DH isn't working then I get a foot massage ! Other than that I feel good and grateful that everything is on track
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I have my 14 week appointment on Thursday, my NT scan and bloodwork was all normal... Which was great, but can't wait for my next appointment with the doctor as I wanna see my baby and my DH will be there for my u/s for the first time, so I want time to fly and I want it to be Thursday already
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? i love that I don't need a reason to nap, I love that I get to buy a few new clothes in the coming weeks, but one thing I don't love is that I have very little access to junk food as I don't live in the city but a little away and junk food options are quite few, which is good in terms of the weight gain
on on a different note I quit my job about 1.5 years ago and haven't been able to find a new job, so my DH and I started our own company, which is good but I miss my old job a lot. Spoke to a former colleague and he gave me some industry news and I felt so excluded and left out. I know I am being super ridiculous and I won't be able to manage crazy work hours and a new born and being pregnant has always been important BUT still I miss the environment of a work place, my colleagues and a newsroom (used to be a tv journalist) ok so convinced myself that staying home, concentrating on my own company and new baby is the way forward and I will use my experience from being a journalist towards my business sorry for such a long post, just needed to vent
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) 34 week appt this week and then every week until the end. Yikes! Looking forward to growth scan this week or next and scheduling my c section.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Holy lighting crotch! Took my breathe away yesterday.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? To be honest Ilove and am so thankful just to be pregnant. I also love that this baby moves almost all day. With DS I had an anterior placenta so the movement was muted. With this one it's totally different. I feel everything and even when it's painful, like he's trying to scratch his way out of my crotch, I still enjoy it because I know he's there and doing well.
where from- Orange County, NY for those not familiar it's about 50 miles north of NYC close to where they filmed Orange County choppers.
Feelings- ok slowly getting more energy.
Baby news- not much going. Although I have started to feel kicks and bumps. We also pulled out our home Doppler as heard the HB at home. My 5 year old loves it.
GTKY-what do I love about being pregnant? Well bigger boobs is a plus. And now I look cute and pregnant rather than just fat.
@mthoomom - Excited that you're so close to meeting baby! And so close to me! Somehow I missed that you were in the Portland area too! I'm going to blame pregnancy brain since a) You did mention wanting Burgerville too b) I now notice your username and picture (mt hood?) and c) it's quite possible we went over this before... Of course, I am not actually "from here". Moved here from Chicago and grew up in neighboring Oak Park.
Where are you from? Originally from Chicago, but live in Vermont
How are you feeling? I mostly feel great and not particularly pregnant. A little hip and sciatic pain from time to time but nothing too bad or consistent. Overall, I'm sleeping well, but recently I've been waking up to pee around 3am and then processing my stress and anxiety about finances, relationship issues (w/a friend not my partner), DS's transition to preschool, etc. I'd prefer not to be doing that in the middle of the night, but I actually feel pretty relaxed during the day and seem to get enough sleep anyway, so I guess it's ok.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Finally going to have another midwife appt on Wed. to hear the hb on the doppler. It's been almost 4 weeks and the closer I get to the appt, but more anxiety I have. I'm still not really feeling baby which is increasingly stressing me out since this is my 2nd pregnancy and I felt DS at about 17 or 18 weeks. I'm sure it's fine, I'll just feel much more relaxed once I hear LO's hb again.
Rants/Raves/Questions: DP and I are going on a babymoon for 4 glorious nights next week! I'm so excited to sleep in, eat fancy meals, go out the movies and just have a few kid-free days! I might even indulge in a beverage (or two....don't judge me...)
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has
some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk-
just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about
being pregnant right now?
Funnily enough, I have cankles even when I'm not pregnant (inherited from my grandmother who recently passed away and I loved dearly, so I wear them like a badge of honor)! After a long road TTC with a loss along the way, I am just so happy to be pregnant and that everything is going well. I also enjoy observing the way my body is changing and knowing that I am creating life. It took me a long time to come around to the idea of raising children, but even when I didn't think I wanted them I was fascinated by pregnancy and the fact that our bodies can do that!
@mamafesto - Enjoy your babymoon! And I hope the next few days fly by so you can feel at ease after your appt. I know this week's GTKY is about what we love about pregnancy, but yeah, the worrying has to be my least favorite thing so far.
The worrying is hard. It's my least favorite part too. I'll be so glad to get to the feeling consistent movement stage. I don't like wishing time away and that's what I feel like I'm always doing so i can get to the next appointment and hear that heartbeat again!
Sorry for the late post. I also didn't manage to post at all during last week's check-in. I had a close friend visiting and we were super busy and now MIL is here for 10 days. I'm also having major issues the bump app on my iPad. I had to delete it and re-instill it but it's still acting up (taking me to non-bump pages, not letting me post, etc.). I often do a lot of reading and posting late at night from bed with my iPad so this is one reason I've fallen behind in keeping up with you all. Anyway, I'm still here and reading when I can. So far it looks like things are okay on my laptop (it wasn't letting me post either for awhile). Is anyone else having app or website issues???
I'm 18 weeks, 4 days
I'm from North Carolina
Feeling pretty good. Still getting some weird stomach aches from time to time. Appetite comes and goes. Have had a few emotional break-downs (mostly in the afternoon - a nap always seems to help the situation). Having a sudden aversion to DH - can't stand him right now and not really sure why. MIL is here and he does act differently when she's here so maybe that's it??? Or maybe it's just me and my hormones...
I have my anatomy scan this morning! I was going to wait until after appointment to post but had a free minute right now so had to grab it. I'm nervous but this seems normal for me for every single appointment. MIL is thrilled she gets to come along.
Rant: MIL and I dragged DH to Buy Buy Baby last night to start looking/browsing baby stuff. He was distracted and not super helpful. He kept playing with all the things instead of actually engaging in a conversation about what we would need most. He did try, though. I'm just wondering if everyone leaves their husbands behind when creating a registry? Do you take a girlfriend instead? It just feels weird to me to not include DH but he seems pretty miserable in most stores, especially a store full of baby stuff. MIL was pretty helpful. This was just the first excursion so we haven't started an official registry yet. I was pretty overwhelmed but at least got a better feel for the different stroller, pack-n-plays, highchairs, etc.
So far I'm loving the maternity clothes! I have a super long torso and have always struggled to find tank tops that fit properly (everything usually rides up). I got a bunch of the Motherhood Maternity tanks and they are so great - super long, stretchy and oh-so-comfy!! I also love people touching my belly. It's so sweet, so special, and it makes it feel so real. DH is pretty good about accommodating my food needs/desires but he was basically like that before I was pregnant! I can't wait until the kicking starts - I think that will be my favorite part by far!!!
*Edited because the bump won't format my paragraphs so I had to use some html myself to avoid one big mess

@jilligan14 -- glad things are going well! I was SO nervous about my anatomy scan with my son, but once we got going, it was so fun to see him in such detail. My anatomy scan for this one is 6 weeks away and I'm already having twinges of anxiety. Hang in there and I hope you can enjoy it once it gets started!
and, I absolutely left DH home while doing a registry! I had visions of how romantic it would be to wander the aisles together, daydreaming about our ne me baby. Nope. Not how it was going to go. He just wasn't into all of that stuff. So, I went on my own and had a good time looking and daydreaming myself. I wish I had brought a girlfriend in retrospect. Do what works for you, for sure, and enjoy it!
@jilligan14 good luck on your scan! It's so exciting it's today! I'm sorry you are annoyed with your DH I get that way too, sometimes I can't stand to look at him or be around him even though he tries so hard. I think that's just life! Ha!
@jilligan14 GL w/ your scan! My DH has not be very involved with the creating if the registry or the purchasing of baby stuff. It's been all me! Honestly, tho, it is not something that he is interested in at all and I actually have been enjoying the process of researching the stuff and purchasing the things. Generally he trusts my judgement and, because I have some generous friends, we are able to try a variety of some baby items to see which ones work for him and which ones work for me, work for both, will work for baby. My sister's BF on the other hand doesn't understand why a husband wouldn't want to go shopping and research all the baby goodies so I guess it depends on the guy.
@jilligan14 My mom will be helping with the registry. DH would never get involved in that.
The other day I got an email from Parents magazine with "helpful" articles like "Infidelity During Pregnancy Is Not As Uncommon As You Might Think" and I mentioned to DH what an awful thing that is to send to pregnant women. A guy in the article said he did it because all the attention was on his wife and he wanted to get some attention. DH said if those guys were more like him, they wouldn't have that problem. Instead of helping with the registry, fetching my food cravings, going to dr appts, planning the nursery, rubbing my feet and treating me like a princess, he pretty much ignores the pregnancy. That's sad, but I suppose it's better than him doing it all and resenting it. --I'm sure there are guys out there that are naturally doting and want to be involved every step of the way. DH just isn't one of them.

How far along are you? Apparently 21 w 3 days, saw the OB for the first time today, and both the first tri and anatomy scan support moving my DD up Where are you from? I have lived in Ontario Canada about am hour north of Toronto for ten years but have lived in three provinces and one other country. How are you feeling? Same a little heartburn a little nausea a little insomnia but not too bad. Baby News? Had my AS last week, it's a boy . Here you usually don't go over to the OB until the third trimester but they were slow so I am over early. It is a new OB for me as my old one retired, but the first appointment went well. Rants/Raves/Questions: anyone else feel like time is suddenly crawling along GTKY? I love feeling the baby move, my son felt it the other day, and he lit up he thinks it is about the neatest thing every he is constantly poking around my stomach trying to get his brother to move . Seeing the excitement through his eyes is pretty neat.
@Mamafesto enjoy your babymoon @jilligan14 we didn't register when we got married so this was a first for both of us, we only registered with our first but dh was out v of control with the price gun, I had to severely edit after . So even helpful dh's aren't always as helpful
@bgf1 congrats on your good appointment and your baby boy!
@CarrieandRoy um, yay that we have partners who aren't engaging in infidelity while we're pregnant? WTF kind of article is that? My DH hasn't been too involved either. I think he'd want to be, but he just doesn't know what to do. He finds it a bit overwhelming, so it's easier for me to take charge. The whole thing is so much more real for me because I'm living it.
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
HI All!! I'm late! My hubby bet me I couldn't stay off Facebook, Instagram, and the Bump for a week starting last Friday! Torture! He has a game he plays online so he's staying off that. However, he wanted to go on to let his gaming buddies know he was still alive so he wouldn't get kicked out of the group, so I get 10 minutes on the Bump!
How far along are you? 16w today
Where are you from? Minnesota
How are you feeling? Great. Just still really tired.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Finally got the results of our SECOND Harmony blood draw last Friday. Less than 1/10000 chance of Trisomy 21, 18, or 13 and at least one boy. My hubby is ecstatic. He's an amazing girl dad, but I'm really happy he's going to have a boy. He's already talking about Cub Scouts. HAHA! I had my glucose and Hgb A1c checked this morning. I'm relatively sure I'll be getting an email saying I have gestational diabetes. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to weeks and weeks of poking my finger again. Otherwise, two more weeks till my next OB appointment and 3 weeks, 2 days till our Level II ultrasound. Looking forward to seeing my babies again.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I worked four days in a row last week (since I work 10 hour shifts, this doesn't happen very often, thank goodness) and I felt like my uterus was going to fall out. I'm not sure how I'm going to work for 22 more weeks!! Hopefully I can get my co-workers to help me out so I don't have to do so many days in a row again.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now? I love napping (and get crabby when I miss one), but most of all, I love the little taps I'm feeling several times per day. Tonight, I was cuddling my daughter and one of the babies didn't like being smushed, so he or she gave a little punch/kick. I can't wait till my daughter can feel it. She'll think it's so cool.

12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
Anatomy scan went well! Everything looked great and the doctor said the baby was measuring exactly to the day! YAY!!! The doctor was a little concerned that my placenta is sitting so low. I guess it's right next to the cervix. He said he's fairly certain it should move up but that there could be complications with the birth if it ends up covering the cervix. Yikes. I go in for another ultrasound at the end of May to see if it's moved. Fingers crossed it moves out of the way!
@emsmama15 YAY that you are having at least one boy!! I'm sure your H is super happy about that!
@bgf1 My DH was super trigger happy when we put together our wedding registry, even though he claimed he didn't want a single thing!

For what it's worth, my placenta was low at my anatomy scan with my son and when they checked again at 32(?) weeks or so, it had moved up and was well out of the way. hope yours does the same!

How far along are you? 6w3d...praying baby stays sticky!
Where are you from? Originally from SoCal but moved to the Houston, TX area last May.
How are you feeling? Feeling exactly the same as my last pregnancy...no nausea, a couple woozy moments, lots of bloat but other than that...feel normal.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) First ultrasound is next week!
Rants/Raves/Questions: Rant...same thing happened last pregnancy...my uterus freaks out and contracts after an "O" which makes DTD not so fun lol. It's like weeeee....oh holy F*CK!!! Gah... I think it dissipated toward the end of tri 2 last time so fingers crossed.
GTKY: This little one wasn't planned but we had pulled the goalie...sooo...after I got over the initial freak out of being 42 (43 at birth) and the idea of juggling two littles (daughter is 18m)...i'm now pretty excited about it. Nervous and scared...but thrilled.
Welcome to the old ladies club @texafornian!! This group rocks!! My two will be 23 months apart, eeek! I figure it will be a year of pure insanity but then I hope they'll be best friends. Plus you just did all the baby stuff so it's fresh in your mind
Welcome and congratulations @Texafornian! And you point out one of (many) reasons why I have no interest in sex while pregnant - the BH contractions after O are awful!
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
Welcome and congratulations, @Texafornian ! I'm 41 expecting #2. #1 is 23 months, so these two won't be quite as close as yours but I agree that it'll be worth the insanity!
I got my Harmony test results back and baby is low risk for trisomy 21,18,13! And results say girl! I think my husband is a bit disappointed that it's not a boy He just always pictured having a boy, but I understand because I pictured having a girl. He'll come around!
Re: Weekly Check In 3/11
Where are you from? Sunny San Diego California

Where are you from? SW Florida
How are you feeling? I'm so tired today. I really, really want a nap, but I need to work. Other than that, I've been feeling pretty good.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) 5 days until the anatomy scan
Rants/Raves/Questions: This might sound weird, but feeling the baby move can be a bit disconcerting at times. Normally, feelings in my abdominal area are due to tummy troubles, fear or dread. Having your baby move inside you shouldn't make you feel like you're scared to give a speech and about to have diarrhea. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I crazy?
GTKY: What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
I loved the u/s's, finding out the sex, and announcing to everyone, but there hasn't been much excitement lately. So I guess my favorite thing right now is that I can eat more than usual.

Which both intrigues me and scares the shit out of me;) I can get very competitive

had my ob appt today and my hubs was able to come for the first time and likely only time until baby is here:( scheduling c-section at next appt in 3 weeks, eeeek, and was trying to move up the date so my hubs could definitely be there, but apparently it's illegal to schedule anything before 39 weeks, grrr.

Where are you from? Salem, MA
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
I have my 14 week appointment on Thursday, my NT scan and bloodwork was all normal...
I know I am being super ridiculous and I won't be able to manage crazy work hours and a new born and being pregnant has always been important BUT still I miss the environment of a work place, my colleagues and a newsroom (used to be a tv journalist)
ok so convinced myself that staying home, concentrating on my own company and new baby is the way forward and I will use my experience from being a journalist towards my business
sorry for such a long post, just needed to vent
Where are you from? South FL
How are you feeling? Great for the most part
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?)
Finally going to have another midwife appt on Wed. to hear the hb on the doppler.
GTKY: Pregnancy definitely has some side effects, sciatica, cankels, weight gain, obsession with junk- just to mention a few from this week. But.... What do you LOVE about being pregnant right now?
Funnily enough, I have cankles even when I'm not pregnant (inherited from my grandmother who recently passed away and I loved dearly, so I wear them like a badge of honor)! After a long road TTC with a loss along the way, I am just so happy to be pregnant and that everything is going well. I also enjoy observing the way my body is changing and knowing that I am creating life. It took me a long time to come around to the idea of raising children, but even when I didn't think I wanted them I was fascinated by pregnancy and the fact that our bodies can do that!
*Edited because the bump won't format my paragraphs so I had to use some html myself to avoid one big messNTNP since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14

and, I absolutely left DH home while doing a registry! Do what works for you, for sure, and enjoy it!
let us know how the scan goes!

RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

Where are you from? I have lived in Ontario Canada about am hour north of Toronto for ten years but have lived in three provinces and one other country.
How are you feeling? Same a little heartburn a little nausea a little insomnia but not too bad.
Baby News? Had my AS last week, it's a boy . Here you usually don't go over to the OB until the third trimester but they were slow so I am over early. It is a new OB for me as my old one retired, but the first appointment went well.
Rants/Raves/Questions: anyone else feel like time is suddenly crawling along
GTKY? I love feeling the baby move, my son felt it the other day, and he lit up he thinks it is about the neatest thing every he is constantly poking around my stomach trying to get his brother to move . Seeing the excitement through his eyes is pretty neat.
@Mamafesto enjoy your babymoon
@jilligan14 we didn't register when we got married so this was a first for both of us, we only registered with our first but dh was out v of control with the price gun, I had to severely edit after . So even helpful dh's aren't always as helpful
Sorry late as usual
@CarrieandRoy um, yay that we have partners who aren't engaging in infidelity while we're pregnant? WTF kind of article is that? My DH hasn't been too involved either. I think he'd want to be, but he just doesn't know what to do. He finds it a bit overwhelming, so it's easier for me to take charge. The whole thing is so much more real for me because I'm living it.

@jilligan14 I was also in the low-lying placenta club, but it's moved up already.

I got my Harmony test results back and baby is low risk for trisomy 21,18,13! And results say girl! I think my husband is a bit disappointed that it's not a boy He just always pictured having a boy, but I understand because I pictured having a girl. He'll come around!
