Babies on the Brain

What are my chances?

My husband and I had sex and about 9 hours later I began feeling pain in my left ovary. I can always tell when I ovulate and I definitely did. I have been pregnant twice and conceived both on the first try so I guess I'm pretty fertile. But at 33 years old who knows how long it could take to conceive. I hate the two week wait too, the time is dragging. Do u think my chances are decent? I hope so...

    This isn't a serious question...right??

33 years old isn't ancient! Be patient.

  • Lol sorry. I didn't realize how impatient I sounded until right after posting this. It's giving me anxiety. I guess I got a good fighting chance, I just have to wait and see. Lol.
  • Be patient. I got pregnant on the second month with my first, first month with my second, and am now in month 9 with my third. Also you can't tell you ovulated by pain...you can feel pain before during or after ovulation. Try temping it will help with the impatience and anxiety because you feel like your doing something to help the process!! Good luck!

You have a 20% chance of successfully conceiving each cycle you have sex during your FW.

Your previous two pregnancies have no bearing on this round of TTGP.

  • OP, I conceived my first the way you describe, but I timed it with temping and OPKs *and* I felt the usual ovulation pang, so I knew we managed to pick a good moment.

The more sensitive tests can pick up hCG around DPO 9 so you can test next weekend. :) Good luck!

ovulation pain can happen before, during, or after ovulation. You have no way of knowing when you ovulated unless you are temping or getting u/s.
