Thrush or something else? XP on breastfeeding

Hey everyone! So I have a 5 month old who is ebf. This morning I woke up with a pretty itchy and red left nipple there's no other signs of thrush with me or baby. Has anyone else had this and it not turn into thrush? Any tips to get rid of itching? I'll call the Dr Monday if it doesn't go away but any advice in the meantime is greatly appreciated!

    My doctor told me monistat works for thrush outbreaks. I thought we were getting it but I was wrong so I never tried it. \_(ツ)_/

    I had this as well, never turned into full on thrush for me thankfully but I did use an anti fungal from the doctor for a few days just in case. If you have the APNO cream from the doctor you can use that as well, it has an anti fungal in there I believe.

    Thank you @mgillon!! I noticed this morning he Has an itty bitty piece of tooth coming through so I'm thinking that may have something to do with the irritation. Thanks again ladies I really appreciate your suggestions!
