On 15 days post ovulation (dpo), my OBGYN's office said my HCG level of 228 was 'low' and that I have to repeat it in a week. Googling around, this actually sounds like it's above-median! So I was kind of weirded out by this. Then I realized that the office is probably going off the LMP, not dpo, and so they think I'm actually a week more pregnant than I am (I have very long cycles). I did an online calculator to find the 'date of ovulation' from the date of LMP, and it said Feb. 14th. But I know i ovulated on Feb 21 (as in, I am using temping and a clear blue $180 monitor). So I realized that she probably thinks I was truly 22 dpo rather than 15 dpo. But that is so annoying, as it means they are unnecessarily scaring women with long cycles into thinking their numbers are 'too low'.
That said, IS this too low? I know that the time for doubling matters most. But should I be scared? Or is it just my OBGYN calculating dpo wrong? Kind of nervous here. Thanks for any feedback! I plan to repeat the test at 17 and 19 dpo, even though they said they recommend I wait a week. My internal medicine doc will be conducting the next tests

betabase(dot)info is a website that compiles a lot of hcg levels at different DPOs that turned out being "successful" (meaning a heartbeat was seen on an ultrasound). Hope that helps.
I had my betas done at 13 DPO and yesterday at 16 dpo. At 13, it was 24 which the nurse said was very low. At 16 it was 101, another very low number but the nurse said the number doesn't matter as much as the doubling. Which mine did. She told me not to worry (easier said than done, of course!) Your numbers are higher than mine, it surprises me that your doctor is worried. Try not to google everything, the ranges are so huge, as long as they keep going up you should be okay.
If you really want to, poas every other day to watch that second line get darker in between tests.
