Weekly Bumpie Challenge: Try a new fruit or vegetable this week!
Re: weekly health/fitness check in (3/7/16)
Fitness goal? I haven’t been to the gym in awhile, I am exhausted and sick within minutes. I probably shouldn’t be so hard on myself so I am setting what I hope are achievable goals this week: I would like to make it to kickboxing on Tuesday, gym Thursday, and then yoga Saturday. Also, walk at lunch at least 3 days this week
Health goal? With this nausea I really need to be drinking more so that will be my goal this week, more water!
Challenges you’re facing this week? Exhaustion and nausea. The 2nd tri is in sight though!
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO? He calls me Pip. I actually call him by his full first name which NO ONE besides me does!
Fitness goal? Continue with my usual exercise classes.
Health goal? Pack my healthy lunch everyday and do better with eating more vegetables. They make me wanna gag lately, tho
Challenges you’re facing this week? None come to mind.
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO? DH usually just calls me baby or "my girl." He'll hug me real tight and say "you my girl." It makes my heart melt every time!
I call him Bear. I'm not exactly sure where it even came from other than his physicality (he's 6'4, 280 lbs, with jet black hair and a full beard). We've been together since college (11 years today, actually!), so it's hard to remember where things got started sometimes.
Fitness goal? - I'd like to stay active and fit throughout this pregnancy. OMG, have you ladies seen some instagram fitness coaches who are pregnant? They look AMAZING. I doubt I'll look like that, and that's okay. I just want to stay healthy and not gain too much weight.
Health goal? Have super cut arms and legs as my belly gets bigger and bigger!
Challenges you’re facing this week? Not eating very healthy. I'm currently drawn to carbs. I want all the pasta, rice and potatoes please.

Fitness goal?
My goal is to stay active and fit this entire pregnancy. I've been on restrictions since my embryo transfer and it gets lifted on Thursday. I'm so excited to workout again! Our boss bought gym memberships for the employees at the gym across the street too. No excuses!
Health goal?
I've been on carb overload since my BFP and I'm finally interested in healthy food again. My goal is too not gain as much as I did with DD. I was lazy and unmotivated last pregnancy.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
No challenges. My restriction gets lifted on Thursday.
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO?
We just call each other "babe."

At this point, I'm hoping to just play outside with my daughter on nice days. And maybe go on walks on the rare days that I'm feeling decent.

Talked to my ob today (went to a midwife group last time) during my first appt. We talked about my dd's size at birth (9lb,7oz) and what plans were with this one. I don't want them to get overly nervous on size and attempt to induce, but she did say they'd be keeping an eye on it bc while I was able to easily give birth to dd, a 10-11lb baby could be a different story. I told her I gained 50 (!) with dd, and she said she'd rather I was at 35 this time around...which I of course agree with. I went into this gung-ho, ready to continue eating healthy but with morning sickness honestly all I care to eat is what calms my stomach. Which is typically carbs or take-out, because I can't stomach cooking. It's very frustrating to want to eat healthy, but my body is saying otherwise.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
Morning sickness. As it will be for the next 6-11 weeks I imagine. Hoping at the very least I'll get my shit together at that point to make up for the inevitable weight gain while I'm so nauseated.
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO?
He doesn't have any for me, but I call him Stinker. Not for any reason, and no clue how that started.Fitness goal? To relax until I can move without hurting! I ran my first half marathon this past Saturday 13.1 miles in 4 hours!!!

Fitness goal?
I've been too nauseous and tired to run during this pregnancy so my goal this week is to get out for at least 3 short, slow runs. The weather is finally on my side, so I'm hoping that motivates me. I can't deal with treadmills anymore.
Health goal?
Just to stay as active as possible during this pregnancy and not lose the fitness gains I've made in the last year. I also want to eat more veggies and fewer carbs (but see below).
Challenges you’re facing this week?
Veggies literally make me vomit. My husband made a nice healthy dinner last night and I responded by not eating most of it and throwing up the rest while he washed dishes.
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO?
We call each other by our last names. It doesn't sound cute, but I love when he does it.Fitness goal? Continue training for my half marathon in May!
Health goal? try to eat healthy and not eat too many sweets
Challenges you’re facing this week? fitting in workouts as usual. Never enough time in the day!
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO? He just calls me babes which is not exciting. I call him Werewolf because he's hairy and warm lol

Fitness goal?
To continue working out 5 days a week. I do a combo of spin, HIIT, TRX and kettle bells.
Health goal?
I'm trying to eat healthy during the week and relax on the weekends, which is how I generally live. 80/20 rule.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
I feel like my workout recovery is becoming more difficult. I'm a lot more achy. Any tips? I was thinking protein shakes, which I kind of wanted to give up while pregnant. I'm so sick of them!
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO?
Nothing really. Usually just Babe, which is funny because my 3 year old now calls me that sometimes.
Anyone have any good pregnancy fitness resources? I'm hearing conflicting opinions on how long you can do core exercises.
Fitness goal? I try to attend my usual ballet barre pilates classes twice a week and hit the gym three days a week and I hope to continue on with this as long as possible.
Health goal? I am trying to eat as many things that are good for me as I can. I have worked in a lot more fruits everyday and veggies at least once a day. I am also drinking a lot more water.
Challenges you’re facing this week? I am constantly exhausted and while I don't throw up I often have nausea which does not help with trying to stay active.
GTKY: What unusual nickname does your SO have for you? What unusual nickname do you call SO? My SO calls me sissy or babe and I normally stick to babe or hunny.
Fitness goal?
To weigh less than I did at the beginning of the pregnancy after I give birth. I started about 20 lbs overweight and while I'm not trying to loose weight, I'm maintaining it. I'm actually 1 lbs lighter than when I began. I also started physical therapy for a bad knee because I desperately want to be able to do squats and lunges again right until this baby comes out. It really made my first child's birth super easy.
Health goal?
Whole foods, Leafy greens, take my vitamins and no junk food.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
I think I'm allergic to gluten or tomatoes or both I've developed this awful rash on my face that burns after I eat. I'm leaning more towards the tomatoes at this point, but am wanting to eliminate gluten as it make my tummy bloat somethin awful.
