"It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." -Atticus Finch, To Kill A Mockingbird
Names I love and would consider using, but husband isn't on board or might be too out there: Winter, Autumn, Liesel, Magnolia, Freya, Greta, Astrid, Ingrid, Freya, Sadie.
I kind of **really, really** love your entire list. Sybil was our top girl choice for a while until it got bumped by Gwendolyn. So... @missemmawoodhouse, if you don't mind me asking, why is Gwendolyn a no-go for you?
haha is my name a guilty pleasure? My name is pronounced the same as Leela.
Huh, I never thought Leila could be pronounced that way! To me, Leila is way more of a legitimate name! I'm a huge Futurama fan so I've loved that name/spelling for that reason.
Juno, Jocasta, Birdie, Stormy (I knew one once), Bianca (I realize this is a beautiful name but I can't stop thinking about a Russian whore), Olive (my great grandmother's name and now my daughter's name. That's right. I went there) and Sezen.
Names I love but can't use: *Ruth (can't stop thinking about the Friends episode that they make fun of possibly using the name "sweet baby Ruth"- I would still use the name but hubby says no) *Violet (heard of people mistaking it for the word Violent) *Veda (reminds hubby of Darth Vader which he loves- I'm not so sure) *Eliza (nephew named Eli- too close) *Greta *Josephine *Jane *Anne *Esther

I'm dying laughing over here because my DD is Violet Ruth!

i believe the only difference is that Leela is the traditional indian spelling, Leila arabic. But Leila is some times pronounced Lay-la and Leela is always Lee-la
Lately I've been loving Poppy, but not sure it could be taken seriously. Others dh has vetoed or I just like but probably wouldn't use: Isla, Alice, Kaia, Piper, Ellis, Carey
It sounds like music but sort of also like ukelele.
Also our last name is Yu so.. no..
I also really like both Wolfgang and Amadeus (Yes, I am totally into Mozart btw) - Know of somebody who actually named their kid Mozart. That's the line. I also toyed with Edison. Link is a cool name I'd never name my kid. So are Atlas and Phoenix.
And then there's Leo. Leo is a great name. It's the name of one of my best friends. Who also happened to be a man I was very much in love with - unrequited because both of us were too shy to make the first move - and of whom my husband was initially a rebound.

I like these names but wouldn't use them for various reasons.
Might actually consider using Sage, but DH isn't a fan. The other 2 I just couldn't.
Stand by. More will come as i think of them.
