Mine started off pretty similar but now my symptoms are hitting me so much sooner. With DS the heartburn started around 5 months. With this one it started around 3. My varicose veins started hurting around 6 months last time and just started acting up this week.
To be honest, they have both been pretty easy. Obviously, I started showing much sooner this time around. But with both, I had hardly any nausea. I think the difference this time is more headaches and more RLP (almost constant).
More nausea this time around and less of an appetite, I eat at most half of everything put in front of me. A lot more tired, but I'm sure it's because I'm chasing around a 2 year old!
Thankfully my first was very easy, and this one is, too, so far. Virtually no differences other than the gender. Somehow I'm gaining less weight this time (so far). Although I will say I had more exhaustion this time, but that is most likely due to chasing a toddler around!
Night and day. With my first I was just tired, but with this pregnancy I was nauseous almost from the day I found out until 15 weeks. All day, every day and so very very tired. Feeling almost normal now at 18 weeks and have been able to start working out again, which always makes me happier. Same as PP, I started showing almost 10 weeks before I did with my first, crazy! Not finding out the sex so will see in August if the difference in symptoms meant different sex!
Almost all of my pregnancies (this is my fourth) have been fairly similar. The morning sickness varied in intensity with each child but was always there. This time I am having a much harder time not peeing myself but that could be due to the fact that it has only been 10 months since dd was born. I also am getting full a lot faster now so I have to eat a lot more times during the day.
1st pregnancy with DS1 was great! No morning sickness nothing. 2nd pregnancy with DS2 was the complete opposite. Was so sick and was quite miserable but I did enjoy the good moments. This is my 3rd and it has been good and bad. So will see.
I have been lucky to have a lot less ms this time around. I had it bad until the second trimester then it was gone. Last time it stuck around until the start of the third trimester. I'm showing earlier, but I was able to feel DD from the outside by 16 weeks (not consistently but that's when DH felt her for the first time), but I haven't felt this one much. I was pretty sure DD was going to be a soccer player pretty early on, though. This baby hardly moves compared to her. DD is kind of a spitfire like her dad though, so we're hoping this one is more laid back like me
DS was a breeze. I threw up twice the whole time, and my worst symptom was being tired. At my 30 week appointment, I went on bed rest because they (luckily) discovered my IC. I had threatened preterm labor twice before 34 weeks, but they were able to hold it off. The whole time, though, I felt awesome. Even labor was pretty easy.
This LO is so different. I have been so sick to my stomach. Between the random vomiting in the middle of the night and early in the morning to so much nausea in the evenings that I have to lie down just to get through it, I feel like I'm barely human.
I never had headaches with DD. Now it's like I go to sleep with a headache and wake up with one too. Ugh. DH reminded me that we lived in a tropical climate when I had DD so perhaps I'm just dehydrated this time. *chugs water in hopes of it helping*
This is my fourth pregnancy and third boy. I am way more tired and morning sickness started earlier and lasted longer. I am not showing as fast either.
With my first I did not start showing until 20 weeks or so. This one has definitely already appeared. I was much more fatigued during my first pregnancy than this one (maybe because you learn to live on little sleep with the 1st ). Other than those two things, I would say they are identical pregnancies. I feel exactly like I did with DD. I did not feel DD until 24 weeks (anterior placenta), so I am hoping that is different this time.
I'm less tired and was less nauseous with this pregnancy. I've also started showing sooner, gaining weight more quickly (yay ), and had heartburn sooner - last time it started at 30 weeks and it's already been pretty bad at 17 weeks. I've also been much more emotional and weepy this pregnancy. If I didn't already know I was having another boy I would swear this baby was a girl because of how different it's been! I guess I'm proof that this old wives tale isn't true.
Complete opposite. I was more tired last time but only sick one day. I was sick from 3-14wks and then here and there since. I'm almost 20 weeks and my belly sticks out more than it did at 37 with DD. Don't know this baby's gender yet.
Complete opposite! with DD 1 I would get a little car sick and preggie pops worked great. With DD 2 I can't function without taking Diclegis nightly and I am 18 weeks. I started showing way earlier with this pregnancy (11 weeks vs 20). My feet started swelling this week!!! That didn't happen with DD1 until 2 months before she was born.
Pregnancies one and two were very similiar. Lots of nausea and all the usual pregnancy symptoms. I also had lots of heartburn.
This pregnancy has been way different. Aside from the FOUR stomach bugs i have caught(remind me not to get pregnant during cold and flu season)i had very little nausea. I've only gained about two pounds and didn't experience severe meat aversions like i did with one and two.
Things that have been worse this go round: showing earlier, boobs are even bigger, nausea was rough first tri, sleeping crappy and headaches.
Things that have been better: been able to workout almost like normal, not quite as tired, skin isn't nearly as bad, my emotions have been more in control, and nausea was only in afternoons and evenings. Although the nausea was worse, the timing of it was much better.
This pregnancy has been very different from my first with DS. This time around, I had extreme nausea most of the 1st trimester, but with my son, I hardly experienced any. My skin has been breaking out like a teenager and I don't feel attractive this pregnancy, just big! I also feel a lot more emotional. We found out via verifi testing that baby is a girl, so maybe that explains the symptoms.
