1st Trimester

Need some reassurance/past experience low HCG

Had a beta done on Wednesday (14dpo) I was told today the level was only 10, to be that low and a viable pregnancy I would've had to have ovulated late and implanted late (I was charting so ovulation wasn't late)
i don't know what to think, I will have a second beta done on Monday (18dpo) hopefully the levels will be higher.

im just so confused they class anything under 25 to be not pregnant, but I'd turned 4 tests including a digital 2 days prior to the beta, so they had to have been higher than 10 for that to happen.

I guess I really just want to be a special snowflake and have someone tell me that their levels were insanely low like mine and they've gone on to have a healthy pregnancy.

Re: Need some reassurance/past experience low HCG

  • Hi there, I don't have previous experience with low HCG but was monitored to negative after a MMC. I was getting squinters on my test to around 5. You may have turned test at 10 and below. I'd say don't give up until you know your result next week. That's the only way you'll know for sure.

  • Hang on there!  I have my 3rd beta today to rule out ectopic pregnancy and see if my numbers are doubling.  My first beta was 60 which my doctor considered as "very low".  I also has a bit of brownish discharge last night so that makes me very nervous.   :s
